Best meal and experience of our trip. The brunello was the best iced ever had! Grazie!!

We found this place because our first choice in the area was booked, but we were glad we found this little gem of a restaurant. The service was excellent. The wine list was top notch. Our charcuterie was amazing. And our entrees hit the spot. Definitely check this place out when you're in Florence.

The squid and red onion dish was amazing. The green pea and mint sauce was just the right amount of mint. We also enjoyed the homemade gnocchi. Make sure you leave room to try their tiramisu!

Their service is impeccable! Truly recommend to give them a try if you’re looking for a nice night out on the town.

We had high hopes and walked across town to eat here. The staff was pleasant, entertaining and honest. The food was disappointing.

Out of the way and off the beaten path yet just steps from across the Arno and easy to walk to from almost anywhere in old town Florence, (we walked there from our hotel on Piazza Santa Maria Novella in July) BOrGO is a neighborhood gem; a diamond in fact. The owner is personable and sees to it that every guest is made comfortable and welcomed with his charming and disarming manner. The food is all locally sourced, prepared with care and skill and presented with a Florentine flourish. Try the pork meatballs; they're out of this world!

Exceptional food, service and atmosphere! Dining here was one of the highlights of my time in Florence. The food was excellent and our server was amazing. If you want to really experience traditional Tuscan cuisine, this is the place. And of course their wine section was just as impressive.

Pleasant meal . Home style cooking- well prepared and tasty. The anchovy starter should be avoided if you don’t see the humour in a tin of anchovies with toasted brioche and butter. My husband enjoyed it but the lady at the table next to us was furious.

This was the best dining experience we had in Florence. It is clear that the owner takes great pride in his restaurant. He recommended an excellent, moderately priced wine and was very helpful in answering all our questions. Food creatively showcased fresh ingredients while being true to Tuscan heritage. Service and ambiance were outstanding as well. Highly recommend.

A little gem in Florence and the food was excellent. It is small so not that many covers and you may have to share a table with strangers. I think the man who runs it needs to hire a waitress though. He is on his own doing everything so as a result you have to wait a bit for orders, drink refills etc. We did enjoy our evening there though.

One of the best meals we’ve had in Italy! The place is a gem. Nice area to go to for an evening out that’s not too touristy. Had the local dish (steak), it was incredible. Highly recommend!

This is the best first night in Florence spot...easy walk from central hotel and open late (reservations at 945 pm). Service could not be more welcoming and accommodating with perfect English. Wine by the glass was excellent. Value above average. The octopus was among best I've had. Starter boar's ragu ravioli is very local and comforting. Thank you Open Table for this pick.

Wonderful evening. Very personable owner. Casual atmosphere with high quality ingredients. Try the fried chicken and frenchfries or the braised beef.

On holiday experiencing the Italian cousine

This place was absolutely amazing! The owner was very hospitable and made my girlfriend and I feel right at home. Everything we ordered was cooked fresh, and was the best dining experience we've had in Italy. To top it off, the pistachio tiramisu was the best dessert I've had in any country. Highly recommend.
