   I went there alone but really the staff were so friendly and warm. Recommend good dishes and gave me testing glass for beer. Really enjoyed dinner.

   Bottle of wine arrived in the table uncorked, food was not to a required standard, noise from a 30th birthday made it uncomfortable, table service on par to greasy spoon cafe. Would expect a far superior service for what the total bill was. Will not be returning.

   Service good. Steak terrible. I asked for it medium well - it was well done and tough as hell. Also quite grisly. No one came to check whether we were enjoying our food. Also the truffle fries were lame. Neither one thing or another. Shame as it’s quite a nice place a but it certainly explains why they have so many empty tables on a Friday night.

   Excellent choice of food. Fish fresh and beautifully cooked. Staff attentive, enthusiastic and engaging Would definitely come back.

   Booked Saturday afternoon in the Restaurant. Arrived and was told the restaurant wasn’t open but we could eat in the bar area. We were the only ones in at 1:30 on a Saturday. Heating was a number of calor gas push around heaters. It’s a small menu and at least 4 choices were not available. Looks and feels like a failing business.

   Quite a disappointing experience. Booked for 1pm on a Saturday afternoon & it was absolutely dead, not that that was an issue. They didn't have 3 of the starters on the menu or 2 of the mains. Of course 2 of the starters & 1 of the mains they didn't have were ones we would have ordered. They did have a replacement for one of the mains which wasn't on the menu that 2 of us ordered. They also didn't have 1 of the deserts which again was the desert we would have ordered but they had 2 replacements that weren't on the menu. The liqueur coffees we ordered were luke warm at best but we never bothered saying anything. Also noticed when I got home I had been overcharged for them. Unlikely I'll be back which is a shame as it's a lovely setting but it was cold & the lack of other diners makes me wonder if my experience wasn't a one off. The food we did have was nice though.

   We had a lovely meal at this restaurant on Saturday night. The food was lovely and despite being busy the service was excellent. An overall very positive experience and would definitely return and recommend to others.

    It was a quiet evening, hence the laid back ambience. Probably because everyone's skint as it's New Year. Appreciated the out of the ordinary choices on the menu - e.g. chicken soup with matzo balls. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. It tasted as good as it looked and was satisfying. The staff were warm and polite. We ate in the bar area which is a lovely room. It was only as we were leaving we noticed the jar of dog biscuits by the till - doggy-friendly too, what more could we ask for?

    We had such a lovely evening and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Not much has changed décor wise since Grill on the Corning but that's positive as I always loved the vibe there. Great venue! Mx

    Food was good, albeit weren’t offered a Xmas menu. What we had was actually tasty but the biggest issue is service. Easily fixed by training. Have multiple people asking you the same thing over and over again is quite annoying and a constant interruption.

    Food was excellent. Service was fine. Waiters helped when asked but not actively attentive. We couldn’t get the festive menu because we hadn’t asked for it at booking which was disappointing. Decor was lovely.

    The food was very good but the night was not as enjoyable as it should have been due to the terrible service. Waited a while for main course, was told when we enquired that was the order just put through to the kitchen! Soup was cold, drinks order was lost and we had to raise awareness. The service model needs to change as it does not compliment the very good good.
