A very modern vibe, good service and cocktail selection. Small dining tables, better geared for a cocktail bar. Wouldve liked more than one seafood selection on the menu. But it was well prepared.. As place rapidly filled up around 7 pm, the wait staff became harder to find. They were moving fast to accomodate the crowds I guess. I'd still recommend the place.
The food and service was outstanding. I will definitely be back.
Great Valentines drinks and desserts!
I really enjoyed myself tonight.the food was delicious the waitress was polite didn’t bug my table like at other restaurants.she came around every so often checked on the food, asked if we needed anything refill water a couple times. I highly recommend this restaurant.GREAT FOOD GOOD VIBE OUTSTANDING SERVICE
VD date night out on the “15th”. This place is a bar scene with food. Attentive service and comfy food. We had the duck confit egg rolls (app), gnocchi and steak tips. All very good flavour, but main dishes were a bit on the cool side.
Wonderful experience will be returning very soon
The overall experience wasn’t worth the price. The tenderloin skillet was good but not great did what we paid. Table was very small and hard to eat at; ok for getting a drink and a small bites but not for a special occasion.
It’s a great place to have a nice fancy causal dinner with a friend or significant other
Let me say first that with a reservation we should have been sat in the main dining room, not with walk-in guests by the bar area with glaring sun light in our eyes.
We ordered a bottle of wine and a bourbon drink. Both were empty at least 10 times during the meal and both the bar manager and server walked by and did not fill the drinks. I ordered a sweet tea to see if that was better it also was empty repeatedly despite the two seeing it working the area.
We ordered appetizers (crab dip, and deviled eggs). The crab dip was amazing. The deviled eggs were topped with bacon that made beggin strips that you feed your dog a better substitute. It was overcooked, hard as a rock and ruined the appetizer. Notified the server. This was greeted with yeah okay, nothing further was said.
We order Gnocchi and the Filet. Both were nothing short of amazing. In short, don't expect great service. The appetizers are hit and miss. Your drinks will be empty more than they are full. And complaints or issues fall on deaf ears. Order food to go you'll likely have a better time, and put some beggin strips on your deviled eggs it'll make it complete and so much better.
Very energetic crowd, goo selection of bourbon, and fun staff.
A stylish, striking, comfortable environment for adults to dine and connect.
Pros: the two bar-centered dining areas are a sharp contrast from each other and really feel like special places to visit. The food is good, the service capable, the drinks list extensive.
Cons: the drinks were very pricey even for downtown, the menu is very limited
Overall: a date night destination; leave the kids with a sitter.
We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday and were in a celebratory mood. We had an excellent server who was a lot of fun. In addition, others on the staff got involved and had fun with us. The food and drinks were fantastic, the atmosphere was funky, fun and cozy all at the same time. We ordered "the left side of the menu" (all the appetizers) and everything was great. The real standout was the crab dip (we ordered a second). The funnel cake fries (w/caramel, nutella and one other dip) were so good and they presented our friend with a VERY festive piece of cake complete with sparklers. It was the perfect place for a celebration and it felt like the whole staff was celebrating with us.
We were new to Charleston and wanted a southern dining experience. Interesting and delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, and great bar menu!!
Acoustics are a bit off as it was loud. Great going out place e. Service was awesome, drinks were yummy and food was delicious.
Such a great place! Amazing atmosphere, food and drinks! A great place for a date night or for friends to gather!
I celebrated my husband‘s birthday here with a few friends. The ambience was sexy. The service was attentive and inviting. I also remember the seating to be extremely comfortable. Our reservations were for six on a Sunday night and we were still able to enjoy happy hour for a full hour. This included some great specials on the bar selection but the buy one get one appetizers were the way to go. I highly recommend the duck confit spring rolls!
The bourbon selection was fantastic. We were able to enjoy one of my husbands favorite, 10 year Old Rip van Winkle.
Dinner was excellent as well. He recommends the local sweet potato and ricotta gnocchi while I thoroughly enjoyed the bourbon steak skillet.
To finish off they surprised him with a sparkler and funnel fries complete with an assortment of dipping sauces. I was a thoughtful touch on their part.
We had an excellent night at Bourbon and Bubbles. I would highly recommend.
Thought the vibe was great, but would not recommend for an intimate date night! Way too loud to converse.
What a stellar dining experience. Personable bartenders. Attentive waitress. Perfect wine pairing with each course.
We can not wait to return.
Excellent!! Fantastic food, fantastic service, and fantastic spot. You’ll enjoy your time here.
Service was quite poor. Ordered the wine pairing, out apps were taking a long time so we requested our wine. Well our apps came and it was at least 10 min before our wine finally arrived. Everything was slow. Yes it was restaurant week but it was also later in the evening. The deviled eggs tasted good but were small, nothing else on the plate and my friend had a lot of extra bacon on her plate I had barely any on my egg let alone my plate. Very tasty steak entree and dessert very chunky wine portions. Not a good value at all and it was very very loud. Don’t plan to go back.
Beautiful restaurant, amazing food and service, just a little too loud and since we booked for our anniversary it would have been nicer to be sat away from the bar in a quieter spot.
You are seated around the wall around the bar so as the night went on and more folks came to the bar the noise level was too high to have a nice dinner. My steak was cool at best and not very flavorful but cooked to my liking. Deviled eggs for an appetizer were fantastic and the key lime pie was awesome. Glad I tried it but wouldn’t come back for dinner, just drinks
We liked it but the bottle of Shramsberg Blanc de Blanc we had tasted very old compared to the bottles we get through their wine club, too old to be sold at a restaurant at a 100% marked up price. Don’t get the “adult milkshake” because it’s not a milkshake it’s just cream with liquor in it. The music they were playing was really good and the interior lamps were so pretty. Our server knew a lot about bourbon and was very educational.
Food was wonderful especially the Tuna Poke, wine pairing was perfect.
I love the ambience at Bourbon and Bubbles. I usesally go relatively early and sit at one of the tables at the long banquette in the bar.
It is often quieter and easy to converse with friends.
The food is excellent -- creative without innumerable ingredients added to the menu. The service friendly and prompt without feeling pressured.
Sweet discovery in Charleston. Well worth the Uber ride from downtown. Guaranteed you will never be disappointed. Chic interior, great menu and bar setup. One small complaint, our table was directly under the air conditioning vent, we were frozen!
Excellent experience. Staff friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Food was excellent.
Birthday dinner. Very good food.
Great food! Understandably crowded and loud on a Saturday night. Only complaint was hostesses were dismissive while we were trying to check in.
Birthday and new job celebration
Note that it was Restaurant Week so we could choose that menu ($40 for three courses) or the standard menu.
The smiling and professional host seated us quickly. Very interesting, fun decor.
The waitress and bartender told us they would tag-teamed us (a good thing, two Laurens).
I asked for a Buffalo Trace old-fashioned to start, explaining that I like the cherry and orange muddled, two light dashes of chocolate bitters (they have Aztec; not as good as Angostura), bourbon, ice, and a pik with 2 more cherries. It was well prepared, but had a touch too much bitters in it.
My friend chose two appetizers, the deviled eggs, followed by the duck confit rolls.
I started with the winter salad with pickled onion slices, dried apricot and champagne vinaigrette (thank you for bringing this dressing back) and Marconi almonds; it was AWESOME.
My friend’s deviled eggs were “loaded” and the crispy bacon made them “great”, vs. average.
Second Course: My friend’s Duck Confit Rolls: The sauce was good, but we would have preferred thinner rolls with more duck, and less “stuffing”.
My Filet - Nice thick cut of beef, sliced after it had rested, expertly seasoned and prepared! Fingerlings were nicely roasted and the side baby carrots were excellent. (Not sure why green squash?)
The chocolate martini that my friend chose as “dessert” was expertly prepared and she enjoyed it immensely.
My Dessert: Taking a summer “fair” norm to a whole new level, Matt Greene, the chef, created a phenomenal offering... funnel cake fries lightly dusted in confectioners sugar with two dipping sauces: chocolate and coconut caramel. It brought back so many fun memories and was wow, AGAIN, just WOW! Simple, but awesome.
Beautiful place, food was amazing, cocktails fabulous
Service was great
Price a little high especially for Restaurant Week, regardless I would go back.
Made a reservation for my Son and his wife to go next Saturday.
Date night with my husband. Great place for an extraordinary beverage. Loved the Charleston 75! Two bars- one for bourbon and one for sparkling drinks. What a marriage of tastes! The food was special, extra points for presentation. We had the restaurant week special and were not disappointed. You must get the Funnel Cake fries. Absolutely the best dessert out there! Can’t wait to go back.
My absolute favorite restaurant in Charleston! They always go above and beyond to make all customers feel special & loved! I made reservations to celebrate our bride-to-be, and we were all so impressed with their food & incredible customer service!
We went to Bourbon N Bubbles for my husbands birthday. From the second we walked in we were impressed with the overall concept, ambience, and friendly staff. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was special, and the food was fantastic. Would 100% recommend it, and we are looking forward to our next trip to Charleston, we will definitely be back.
It was a decent evening but I do not feel the urge to come back. The service was okay, I almost felt like I was inconveniencing them. For a bourbon bar you’d thing they would pay attention to my drinks. Sat without service for quite some time. The food was decent but not something extraordinary. Value was definitely not there.
Love it! The food is as good as the ambiance and decor! Cocktails are some of the best in the city!
Very mediocre and service was not good. There were two cocktail watitr
Terrific service, bourbon flight options were great, food was exquisite. Lauren was attentive, professional and very helpful as were other servers. Checked in on us, but not too intrusive. Bartender was informative as well. Old Fashion was one of the better ones I have had in awhile. Thank you for a great evening of drinks and dinner.
