Brandywine Branch Bistro
Wonderful drink menu and music by Anakai Net! Amazing gin and bourbon. However, the Food was ok
So relaxing!! We felt.lije we were in Colorado or Maine. It was even more enjoyable with live music- we all kinda sang along 💕
Food and drinks were outstanding, the naan crust for the seasonal flatbread was really good and wife raved over the veggie pattie. Kitchen was slow on this Friday night but service was exceptional
Expensive but excellent place. Food is very interesting. Service is slow but we weren’t in a hurry. The gins and bourbons were great!
Loved the atmosphere! The drinks were delicious Wished more wine and beer selection. And more local farm to table selections. Keeping it all local!! Food was good and nicely prepared. Will return and will recommend.
Cozy romantic place with fantastic detailed service.
Beautiful restored barn, very charming, a hidden gem in beautiful Chester county.
The gin is great and the drinks were good, but service was terrible. We sat for 20 minutes or so before someone - not even our server- came to take our drink order.
Server was not well versed on menu. We had no idea what the third of the trio of empanadas was...even after we asked her to repeat what she said. And when asked what the duck melt was like, she stated that it was sort of like the empanadas. After receiving our food, we realized she meant....triangular. (it was sort of an underwhelming pita-dilla.) At the end if the night we tallied they were out of one of the gins and 2 of 4 desserts.
The bourbon mushrooms were delicious.
For gin drinkers this place is the best - great local restaurant that seaps Chester County culture.
The wife and I have gone to BBB since the day it opened. We've never been disappointed in the quality of our meals, or in the service. My favorite server is Kristen. She is the perfect balance of attentive without being obtrusive, and is always very pleasant to us.
Excellent overall experience. Small batch gin selection is out of this world. Each gin is unique and bottles can be purchased. Also have a bourbon line. Highly recommend.
Mushroom Reuben sandwich & Salmon with citrus balsamic were great
First time. Loved the cocktail menu and the drinks were very good. I have Celiac disease so I must eat gluten-free
I was able to enjoy an excellent garugala salad and a wonderful pork loin. Our friends both loved it and we will be back
We have gone to BBB before and enjoyed the experience. Prices are a little high but it delivers on multiple levels. Definitely a great date night
Great food, nice ambiance. We really enjoyed the live music - classical guitar. Service was quick. Such a nice find in the area
A hidden gem
Jen always greets with a big smile so that is always. The perfect way to start the meal ,after that everything was excellent .
food and drinks are pricey and limited, but one is paying for the ambiance, congenial staff, and an interesting and unique experience. My 27 year-old granddaughter loved it and we will go again.
Excellent distillery products coupled with fine dining choices. Environment is very beautiful and unique in the lower part of a historic barn. Unfortunately, we were asked to remove ourselves from our table and go to the bar after 2 hours which I understand as it was a small dining area, but created stilted conversation leaning over each other to talk.
Great cocktails and awesome unique types of gin. Much of the food is locally sourced and delicious. 2nd time here and can’t wait to return. Service is friendly and informative.
Found this by accident and glad we did! Loved the fresh food which is locally sourced. We shared several menu items and it was perfect. It is not a burger and brew place. The gin and bourbon were outstanding! We got a flight of each and were not disappointed. It is not a very large place so recommend making a reservation and it is a bit on the cold side so dress warmly. The staff was attentive and friendly; we will definitely go back!
Party of four, on a Saturday afternoon. Good food, good drinks, good times.
We had an early reservation. We hadn’t been there in several years but the ambience hadn’t changed. Kelly greeted us and walked us through the menu. The bourbon flight was tasty. Kristin took great care of us and we promised to return. The pretzel schnitzel and mushroom Reuben followed the cheese plate. Our meal finished with French press coffees and carrot cake. Worth the hour drive on a beautiful November afternoon.
Atmosphere is country casual.
Food us inventive and delicious
Drinks are unique
Musician made the night special
This is my Wife and My 2nd time here. First on a date and second with my Daughter and her Boy friend. Enjoyed the Music, Food, Gin and most of all the STAFF. We even got a tour of the Distillery with a lesson on how gin its made, also the barn. Thank you for a fun night out.
Wonderful spot located in the bottom of an old barn with fantastic cocktails and great food. The menu is small but really well done.
Excellent food, spirits, and service. Would have been a 5 if they didn’t bring me out decaf tea. Come on- you serve dessert so you should have a decent selection of tea.
The food and drinks were absolutely perfect. The staff is warm and friendly.
Wonderful food & great service!
My new favorite place
Really wanted to like this place. If you're expecting dinner, check the menu before you go since it is small plates. Very few seating choices. The bar offerings are limited to gin and bourbon, red and white wine (one of each). Only a couple of craft beers and no other soft drinks other than ginger ale. The bartender was clearly inexperienced and the drinks were awful. Servers were unclear on the limited choices (ours did not know what a soft drink was and wasn't sure if they even had them!). Pretty pricey overall. On a positive note, the food was fresh and delicious. Not worth a return visit for me.
First time here, definitely will come back.
Love those gin drinks, not a bad one on the list.
Food was very good. Flatbread special and Smoked Duck Breast Melt were very tasty.
Keep up the great work!
We liked to vegetarian and gf options. My husband thought the mushroom ruben was a delicious sandwich, I had the shrimp tacos without the flour tortilla. It would gave been better with corn tortillas. The kitchen omitted more than the tortillas tho and I had to request the remaining ingredients. The cocktails were perfect!!!
Extraordinary tasting and dining experience! The live music, well crafted spirits, dining experience and service from Kristin made for a really great evening. Looking to bring friends back soon.
The food and drinks were fabulous! Our server was polite, attentive, and helpful. We will certainly be back!
Wonderful experience. We had the chef sampler and duck breast sandwich. Gin sampler which was fun. I enjoyed the bourbon old fashioned
Beautiful space - clean and creative environment! We had no idea that this gem existed. Food was fresh and service was incredible. Cocktails were perfectly crafted for us!
Beautiful barn, romantic setting. Great food and craft drinks. I found a bourbon I actually like! Service was wonderful and very attentive.
After frequenting a local tasting room weekly who serves their spirits in cocktails, my husband and I had to stop in to pick up a few bottles of our favorite gin and bourbon. We decided to have a few cocktails and a bite to eat. The service was great, Marissa was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was fresh and delicious. We were told most of the ingredients were local. We shared a large cheese plate, and my husband loved the tomato basil soup and fish tacos. I had a veggie burger with fresh avocado and a salad. The decor was unique, somewhat midwestern and the ambience was very relaxed. It’s a little pricey but definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend, and we can’t wait to return!
This is my 3rd visit for lunch. Its a 45 minute drive, so you can be certain it’d have to be 100% worth it. HOWEVER, why a tarot card reader hanging out in the distillery culling clients from the bar??! In my opinion, unwise gig.
