Excellent atmosphere and the service was wonderful. The Pork Loin au Poivre was delicious and I would definitely recommend it.
We were initially seated in a 2-people table, which was very crammed and the whole area was noisy, guessing since it was Restaurant week. But we requested our hostess if she could seat us at a private booth and she promptly did. My husband has some dietary restrictions but our server provided options for him, even within the limited Restaurant Week Menu. Food was amazing and so were the drinks. I got the seared salmon and it was cooked to perfection, not dry like most places. Absolutely loved the ambience, the food and the service for the price we paid. They also put a nice touch of lighting a candle for us for our anniversary. We are definitely coming back again. :)
Would definitely come back. We had the mules frites and the boeuf bourgignon and they were great. We finished with the chocolate mousse cake which was perfect. Recommended!
An excellent brunch, great staff, and a lovely ambiance. Will definitely continue to patronize this restaurant.
Excellent service in a beautiful decor, very appealing menu ( it was restaurant week). Unfortunately bad execution of the dishes, kitchen has to be monitored.
Went during restaurant week for the $40 three course dinner. Table was left with a utensil set with only a fork and a stained napkin. We asked our waitress for a knife and new napkin but she came back 10 minutes later with just a knife. We are usually not picky about service or food but this was ridiculous. Waited another 10 minutes for water in the cold and another 5 for our order. Waitress was short and kept leaving before our order was finished to tend to a larger table that kept calling her. We had to ask another waiter for a new napkin as our waitress kept forgetting. Took another 5 minutes for a new napkin. Food was ok we went with the steak tartare and french onion soup for our starters but the soup was way too salty. For our entree we went with beef borguignon and steak frites. Both were just ok the borguignon sauce was overpowering. Dessert was lemon custard pie and chocolate mousse which was really good. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt as it was a cold night but we have never had such terrible service for a "high end" restaurant. I understand that it was cold and the waitress was probably tired but there is no excuse for waiting 15 minutes for our order and water with dirty and incomplete utensils sets.
The food and service are excellent. Unfortunately for us, the indoor seating was full so we accepted eating outside. It was below freezing. The heater next to our table was not working at full capacity compared to others we saw burning high next to other tables on the patio. Wished we brought blankets to help keep us warm.
We had the best time and enjoyed the most delicious food!
Delicious food and great staff although they were PACKED for restaurant week. The only reason I’m not giving 5/5 is because we had an outdoor table and there were absolutely no heaters near us in 30 degree weather. Alls to say, we froze. They shouldn’t have opened up tables outside if they didn’t have a heater near the table in this weather. But they did let us take our drink inside towards the end of the night and finish it at the bar.
Steak was tough.
Awesome outdoor dining experience! Thankful to have a place to safely enjoy DC Restaurant Week. The food was amazing!!!!
Excellent food and service! Definitely a gem in Georgetown.
Food was delicious. Staff was great. Can’t wait to go back.
My roommate and I went out for restaurant week and to celebrate us both getting research positions, so we chose here! The drinks were really tasty and not too strong, and the restaurant week menu was so hard to choose from, but everything was so delicious.
Fantastic meal as always with the best service. It was a delight dining there for Restaurant Week.
Great lunch for Restaurant Week.
Irene had great suggestions, with the escargot, smoked turkey and the pot de creme au chocolat. The white wine she'served was great as well.
Wonderful time. Lots of great food.
Food was *chef kiss*. So good and savory. Glad I was able to try this out during restaurant week.
Food is incredible!! The outdoor patio is super cute (and heated), though I do wish the string lights had been on as it was quite dim. We also had to request a heater be moved closer to us.
Went for Restaurant Week. Menu options were great, and our server was exceptional. Will be back!
Very lively ambience with a nice selection of music. Booth seats at the front were comparably more spacious and comfortable than inside with square tables. Food was tasty with quite generous portion (personally). Quite enjoyed overall food presentation. Espresso Martini was memorable.
Everytime we go here, its always a very exceptional experience. The food, the service, and the ambiance are exceptional. Very picky with restaurants and I would say this place is my top favorite in DC. I always recommend this place to everyone I talk to.
This was our second time to Liberte. The onion soup and the mussels were yummy. My husband really liked his escargot and pork loin au pauvre. It was relatively quiet meal, but as people continued to drink one table in particular was very noisy.
Delicious and excellent service. Definitely will recommend to others.
Overall is good. The restaurant is too warm or our table is too warm.
The restaurant was crowded and a bit too warm and noisy, but for some that might have seemed cozy. Our server was lovely, but a bit run off his feet, and it took too long to bring us soup spoons, for example. Also, just one egg on half an English muffin as "Eggs Florentine"? Just plain grammatically incorrect AND stingy for the prices, even during Restaurant Week. The cocktails were excellent and so was the Pot de Crème. Will definitely return, if only to experience the place when it's quieter, and for a slower, perhaps two-course, meal.
my 92 year old mother was feeling unwell and cranky, and the server was so kind and thoughtful, and I will be forever grateful. And the food was great too, especially the onion soup
Excellent food and service. We definitely will be back!
On a very nasty winter weather evening, Brasserie Liberte is the best place to shelter. Fantastic food and service; greatly appreciate their going the extra mile to insure a pleasant respite.
We had the best service and wonderful food! The escargot was some of the best I’ve ever had! Service was impeccable. The staff was very attentive and everyone helped out. Would definitely add this to our list of DC favorites.
So delicious! My husband and I are here for the weekend and "discovered" this place Friday... And came back for dinner Saturday also! I had been craving cassoulet, but I hate making it. Theirs was so beautifully balanced! Everything we are the was just outstanding.
First timer and I loved everything! Food is absolutely delicious. Staff are very pleasant. I was truly impressed and will be back!!
The dishes were very welled flavored, I enjoyed everything.
Service was perfect. Very classy but also friendly. Food was flawless. Exactly what you expect from a fancy restaurant.
Everyone on the restaurant went out of there way to wish my boyfriend a happy birthday!
It was fantastic! The food, service and experience. Everything. It is so cute on the inside. I can't wait to go back!
Good experience 10/10
Everything was perfect for my daughter’s 17th birthday.
Great meal with the family on a Sunday night. Food was great, service was fantastic, and we had a great night!
Excellent experience and delicious food in delightful ambiance.
Wonderful birthday experience for my son. Lovely staff!
