   Our recent lunch date provided us with a "Journey to Provence" without the need for a passport. Always considered a favorite when visiting Louisville, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The atmosphere, service & delicious food continue to call us back time after time. We were seated near the fireplace, which provided a charming setting for our dining experience and offered a wonderful selection of wines by the glass. Looking forward to our return!

   We were a party of four. I had the dinner special, which was scallops and it was excellent. The other members of my party got the Bronzino and the lyonnaise salad, one with chicken and the other with Salmon. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. Service was very attentive and provided excellent suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Brasserie Provence and will return.

   Food was delicious and we brought a couple who had never been there and they also loved it. We really liked our server who was thoughtful and very good. Tom F. Was on ticket. Dark curly hair and glasses. Thin.

    The food is given 2 stars simply because we went with some friends and their food was good. My spouse's dinner and mine were not good at all. However what was disappointing was that the waiter never even came to check on how our food was. We waited for a while and then ended up eating part of what was served because we were with friends and because as they were three-quarters through their meal and the waiter had still not come by to check, we did not want them to have to wait. When the waiter did come, at the end of the meal, and ask if all was OK and we explained that it was not, there was no offer of anything. The restaurant manager even walked by the table, overheard the conversation and immediately turned and walked away. We were served one dessert to split "on the house". Very poor customer service.

We are sorry that the Red Ruby Trout (which is one of our top seller) was not to your taste and the waiter should have checked with you earlier than he did, even so we were extremely busy that night. After I checked with the assistant server who cleaned your table, I was informed that the plates were empty. So as an act of good faith I asked the server to purchase a dessert. Obviously that was not you expected and would like to apologize. Guy

    Visited for Restaurant Week and had a very nice experience. Everything was delicious and the dishes were brought out in a timely manner. Looking forward to visiting again.

    Service was quite attentive. Everything, from the tomato/goat cheese tart to the onion soup to the trout and salmon was well-prepared and quite tasty. The flourless chocolate cake was WONDERFUl.

    Food is wonderful, but the unclassy, small-time charges seem petty. Charge for bread, charge for the number of shrimp on my salad, 3% service fee on every check. I would prefer the prices be higher ( honest prices) and to be treated as a guest rather than a customer.

    I have wanted to try this restaurant since I was in high school and this restaurant opened. After going to college and coming back to Louisville I finally got to visit. They did not disappoint, I had the calamari and the mussels and fries and it was so good. I also celebrated my birthday and they gave me a beautiful brownie and raspberry sauce . I will definitely be coming back to try more.

    Celebrated my high school friend’s birthday! I love dining at Brassiere Provence, and Galen was wonderful! My only complaint is, the shrimp pasta was excellent, but, there were only 2 shrimp! 🙁 My friend loved her chicken special! Thank you for a lovely meal! 🤗

    My husband and I opted to have our Valentine’s Day dinner at Brasserie Provence. I was not aware that there would be a fixed menu (meal selection and price). I had eaten there before and enjoyed my meal, but there was a significant decrease in quality and increase in price compared to my previous experience. Both of our meals were mediocre, although the service was great as well as the ambiance. I have to say I do not feel inclined to return to this restaurant.

    We have been dining at Provence for over a decade and it never disappoints. It is our “go to place” in Louisville. Great layout and it is not cramped like some restaurants. You can carry on a conversation without yelling. Food choices are interesting and tasty. Service is exemplary. Guy Genoud runs a wonderful restaurant that we love going to. First rate.
