   Was so excited to go back to Brix for brunch after our last visit, this time we were seated immediately next to the server station and the bar and we were poorly attended to. We ordered coffee and tea and had to flag down another server to bring us cream and sugar and it still took probably 10 minutes before we got both. Brought the cream and then said “I’ll bring the sugar in a minute” and it was several. I stared at the sugar container sitting on the server station less than 10 feet away and on his way to and from us, he delivered someone else’s meal in between that time. Was looking forward to the donuts but they never came. And though I feel I should’ve known better, I wasn’t warned about the cast iron biscuits and gravy platter being hot and accidentally grazed it with my arm a couple of minutes later and had to use my partners ice water glass to hold something cool on the burn as we seemed to be invisible to the servers though immediately next to them. Our server checked in once mid meal, which is fine, but being that we were in full view of her the whole time and in the corner in full earshot of all the service staff the whole visit it was odd. Someone else delivered our check because our server was also the bartender and she was clearly busy. It was just.. weird. Food was pretty good, but over all we felt invisible.

   I had the crab and shrimp cakes with soft cheddar polenta. The cakes were excellent. The were crispy on the outside and full of flavor. The polenta was ok. The flavor was good but it wasn't very soft or creamy. One friend had the Brix chips with braised pork shoulder and Swiss cheese fondue. She liked it. The other had the prime rib. He liked it. I'm happy the restaurant is closer to my home than the one in the Pearl. I like it there too.

   We were there for 2 birthdays. We were seated soon since we had a reservation. Our waitress was pretty surly, but efficient. She also allowed us to sit for a long time without trying to get us to leave. However she never did offer to bring us anything else such as coffee or tea or wine, etc. They had plenty of tables open at that time. The food was mediocre. Three of us had Bento boxes which needed more seasoning. One person had chicken pot pie. The crust was not crispy as one would think necessary. It also lacked seasoning. The location is fabulous. They will do a better long term business if they would improve the food and tell the waitress to smile and actually care about her patrons.

    My mom doesn’t like going anywhere and always has something negative to say about any restaurant we go to lol. However, she raved about Brix’s in Tualatin! Amazing service, good value, large portions, and not feeling bankrupt walking out. I will go here again and again!

    I have been to their other location and had a good experience. We won’t be back to the Tualatin location. The fish in the fish & tots was fishy and the fried chicken was just ok. Like actually kind of bland. Didn’t even know that was possible for fried chicken. The service was ok but not great. I had to ask the server who made each beer I was considering because when I asked what was on tap she just listed IPA, Pilsner, Lager without saying the brewery. You’re in the PNW… we care who made the beer here.

    My first time at Brix was pretty good. The food was tasty, the ambiance a bit loud, and the service a bit slow. I'd try it one more time, though, just to compare.

    We had the Turkey Bacon Sandwich, way too much turkey piled on the sandwich, very hard to eat. Had to pull out half of the turkey from the sandwich to be able to eat it. The tomato soup and halibut fish sandwich was very good, I would recommend those menu items. We ordered a pepperoni pizza to go and was not impressed, very little pepperoni for the price!

    They sat our group in the meeting room area. When we entered the music was playing, but they soon turned it way down which made the ability to discuss and visit wonderful! Their service was very friendly and professional, and always with a warm smile. Plus the food was excellent We look forward to meeting there again next month.

    I had asked for a table by the window in my reservation. The hostess seemed surprised we were there and we got a small table for the five of us. It didn’t seem they were well staffed. The staff didn’t have time to linger at the tables. Food was good. We all liked the bacon Mac and cheese.

    Everything was A+. We arrived 20 minutes early for our reservation and only waited 5 minutes to get the window seat to watch the ducks on the pond as we requested. The brunch selection is really good. We enjoyed three different types of omelets and chicken& waffles. The bloody Mary’s had just the right amount of spice with an impressive garnish. The coffee was top notch. Service was perfectly professional and courteous. We will enjoy returning for more great experiences.

    A bit noisy, but the food was delicious - I had a hamburger, as did a friend. Have also been there for Happy Hour and that was also great. Had Calamari and Fondue to share. If you want intimate conversation this is probably not the place to go.

    Went for brunch. Menu is limited and uninspired. When dishes like Eggs Benedict try to be different (all 4 were served on a slab of cornmeal) they should just leave well enough alone. Waitress was very pleasant but had to go to 3 places to get coffee, cream and sugar. She explained because it took longer than you would expect. Explanation? Inefficient layout. They do much better with Happy Hour. After all, it’s a tavern.

    Second time coming for weekend brunch. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. They were busy, and service was still great. Fresh donuts brought to the table to nosh on. Bottomless bubbles (mimosas) were plentiful for $11. Eggs Benedict was unique, served on a corn cake. Chicken and waffles was good - cornmeal breading on the chicken was different.

    I just discovered Brix Tualatin. I've been to the one in the Pearl many times. The food and service were great. So happy to have one closer to me. I'll definitely be back! It was my friends' first time at a Brix Tavern. They loved it too!

    We made a reservation far in advance. When we arrived we were taken part about 10 lovely tables to a back room with no windows, to a table directly in front of a projection screen. Our table was so close to that screen we were blocking it and could touch it. The hostess seemed surprised and annoyed we didn't want to sit there. We ended up sitting at a high-top table in the bar, which was fine, just generally didn't feel well taken care of. Our waitress was wonderful however, and the happy hour food was good. Ultimately we walked away happy.
