Tried during Restaurant Week; terrific! We definitely returning. The chicken and waffle entrée was delicious.

Beautiful patio and excellent service on a gorgeous day. Highly recommend the hot buttered rum! I have a hard time with the menu, overall, due to it's high reliance on goopy sauces, cheese, fried and fatty options. But my lunchmates loved the arincini and poke. They also reported that the fries were terrific. Positive reviews for meatloaf and mashed potatoes. In the midst of the Covid shut-down, so happy to have this open-air lunch option to enjoy a rare gathering of friends in a safer environment on those sunny-warmer winter days!! I will go back for a weekend brunch when the shrimp and grits are available, some of the best you'll find in Kansas City!!

The seasonal drinks were OUTSTANDING, excellent gin gimlet and espresso martini too. Food was spectacular and service was fantastic.

They did not offer all of the lunch options that were shown on the restaurant week app. And then they were not willing to provide some of those options which was Unfortunate.

Hostess remembered me from years ago when I performed there so that was really nice. Server was really nice but a little slow. Overall it was great and the food was excellent !

This is, hands down, one of the best local restaurants I've been to in KC!

Was a very snowy day, but Brown and Loe did not disappoint. Riley was very attentive. Salmon was perfect. Several of us had the New Year's Day special...steak frites. The Spicy Maple sour was refreshing. Appetizer board was enough for all of us.

Our two adult children joined us for an end of the year, welcome to the new year meal. The food was delicious, the service quick and friendly. We had a delightful experience!

Brown & Loe made my husband’s birthday lunch so fun. The food & drinks were so good! We both got the meatloaf and everything was fresh and delicious. The key lime pie was definitely our favorite part, it’s the best we have had. Thank you so much, Brown & Loe!

Everything about our dinner, from the cocktails (sidecar & Manhattan), thru pretzel appetizer & bl salads, to our meatloaf & salmon dinners...Absolutely divine!!! Great waiter, fabulous ambiance & can’t wait to return.

Among our favorite downtown/River Market venues. Authentic food and friendly, service-minded people in a genuine KC bistro environment. My go-to for unpretentious business lunch or personal date.

We did a last minute reservation and were so happy that we chose Brown and Loe. It’s a great place for all-from my 81 yo mother to my 7 yo granddaughter. The food was amazing. I loved my Spaghetti squash and my husband (not a very adventurous diner) really enjoyed his Korean Short Ribs. My mother loved her Nashville Chicken Sandwich.
Our service was perfect- not too rushing but kept things moving which is the pace I enjoy. She was very kind and patient with the older members of our party as well as the youngest.
Overall it was a perfect evening and we topped it with a drive through the Plaza Lights. We will be back!

Very comfortable. Our table was in the small part of an “L” so we were distanced from other diners. Everyone masked. Wait staff helpful and efficient but not intrusive. We’ve eaten there several times and menu is varied and always interesting.

We were there for a birthday. The server did not even acknowledge the birthday. She rarely came fo refill coffee and water. The food was subpar. I will be seeking other outdoor dining options in the future.

I had the chicken and waffles which were really good the mimosa was nothing fancy. My friend and I sat outside with our dogs and we only wish they had water bowls for dogs but other than that it was good.

Food was excellent. Service was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. We got the pork loin and the meatloaf and started with calamari. Loved the calamari. Not overcooked and breading was not too salty. Best calamari we’ve had in a while. Not too fond of the sauces but we could eat it by itself. Loin was juicy and the meatloaf was tasty! Great food!
