Bugsy and Meyer’s Steakhouse - Flamingo Las Vegas
Chicest restaurant we’ve visited on the strip! Some of the wall decor paid homage to the Flamingo Resort but the tables and chairs felt old world classy with upscale upholstered curved chairs. There’s an extensive bar list but not overwhelming. The attention to detail that goes into your service is amazing!! After ordering our soup and salad silverware were sat at our plate setting and removed when we finished that course. Before the main course came out new silverware and steak knives were delivered.
We both ordered the Wet aged 16oz Prime cut Ribeye and sides of brussel sprouts, potato purée and seasonal mushrooms. Our food was delivered by several people all at once and the waiter offered to serve it to our plates. The flavor of the steak was phenomenal and so were the sides. My husband isn’t huge on brussel sprouts but said theirs were delicious with the balsamic and bacon. The potato purée was so smooth and creamy, I’m to figure out how to duplicate it, it was so good. There was a nice char to the steak but a perfect Medium inside.
While I was a bit pricey in my opinion it was worth every bit!! We will be back soon!!!!
All around a fantastic experience and meal.
Food fantastic. Drinks are the best and the staff is outstanding.
I was so excited to go here for my birthday especially since we don’t go out much these days.
The service was terrible, I split a porterhouse with my niece , it says for 2, when they brought to the table they just plopped it on the table didn’t even ask or offer to cut since we were sharing. As I cut into it myself it felt like I was cutting through a live cow it was so hard and tough. Disgusting! The sides were all overcooked. The salads and bread were the best part, actually the only EDIBLE part. Cocktails were weak. The prices are a complete rip off and not worthy of those prices. You don’t mind paying if it’s worth it but I give this place a minus zero
Great Customer Service. Waiter was very attentive.
I really loved the staff here. Beyond kind. The food was great, the hand crafted cocktails. I can definitely see myself coming back!
Mickie and her staff help were excellent. The food was scrumptious.
Waste of money and time! Steak didn't have any flavor, steak knife was dull! Bugsy is turning over in his grave from this terrible restaurant being named after him!
Tried it since we staying at the Flamingo and heard good things. Our steaks and sides were very meh, the price for the food is ridiculous based on what we had. Texas Roadhouse is better in all areas. It is not a fine dining experience. We don’t mind paying whatever the cost for great food, but my $60 ribeye could’ve been bought from a butcher and tasted better.
Great experience, loved the food. Great,Great service. Will go back!
We had an underwhelming server. When asked to split the bill he told our table, “don’t forget what the original tip would have been”. The food was good, the atmosphere is unexpected, but the service was sub par. And that to me is worth not returning
Disappointed in the meal all together. Steak had very little flavor
it was a good experience, the waiter was very knowledgeable on all of the food, especially since my fianc'e had some food restrictions. i asked the waiter for his favorite old fashion drink. it was amazing , an it should be put on your menu as a main drink.
thanks we wil be back.
We ate at the bar. The service was great as was the food. It's a bit pricy but we knew that going in. The Speakeasy looked like an interesting place to spend some time. Unfortunately we didn't have the time. Highly recommended.
For the price, this was by far the worst restaurant I have been to in Vegas. It doesn’t even compare to any of the real steakhouses in Vegas. To spend that much I would go to old homestead or craft. Service was terrible as well as the meal. Big letdown
Our ribeye steak was just ok. It was not as tender or juicy as we were expecting from a steak house. Appetizers and services was very good though.
It was horrible. They figured I would pay $5 for regular horseradish. Music was like a nightclub screaming loud. Charred medium rare filet is not charred rare. $20 for vodka on the rocks. Stay away
It is a really fun place ! Nice menu. Good service and excellent cocktails and wine.
Great service; top quality staff
Food was excellent, looking forward to the speakeasy when it opens.
It was my fourth time eating here. Food and service was great as usual.
The oysters were outstanding as was the beet pumpkin salad. When we visit Vegas we always schedule one special meal. This visit Bugsys was our highly anticipated choice as we are steak aficionados. I must in all honesty say we were more than disappointed. The bone-in ribeye was overcooked and tough and lacking in flavor. I could tell that even were it prepared properly it was not the quality expected when one pays $500.00 for a four person meal. The steaks were thin, I would suggest a thicker cut that doesn’t “spread” as wide or just charge more for a heavier cut. We come to Vegas often and have never failed to hit the “wow” factor in our restaurant selection until this trip. When we leave a restaurant after a $500 dinner we want to be raving about what a great experience we had. We don’t mind the price as long as it’s worth it. Case in point, the following evening we went to Mizumi Japanese restaurant at the Wynn and we’re ultra impressed, as everything was 100 percent on point. I must say the service at Bugsy’s was beyond great. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, fulfilling our requests quickly and accurately. We never wanted for anything expected, for example our water glasses were never empty. Unfortunately, ambiance and service can never make up for the huge letdown out entrees carried.
Probably just not "my kind of restaurant". The food was excellent, but $8.00 for an extra roll? Really? I have NEVER been charged for extra bread at ANY fine dining establishment. The steak was well prepared and good, the Vegan menu is a plus, however, the value just wasn't there. The Yellowtail appetizer was beautiful, even though I needed a magnifying glass to "find" the yellowtail. Service was also excellent
Staff was very friendly. Service was excellent. Food was delicious!
The food is excellent. Rightly cooked with right ingredients. I will recommend to my friends for sure.
All LV steakhouses are overpriced, imo, but B&M was on the more "reasonable" side (an 8 oz. filet minon for $52). The French Onion soup was excellent. My friend dining with us said the Caesar salad was among the best he has ever eaten in his life (and he's lived a long life!). Side of mushrooms was tasty and a huge portion size - enough for 3 people easily. Two of us had steaks, which were delicious and one guest had the crabcakes, which he said were fantastic - lots of crab, not alot of filler. Overall, a quality meal that did not disappoint. Service was very good. I'll be back.
Great food and drinks. Fun atmosphere.
It was just average food. The wagyu short ribs were like a bland pot roast. The lamb was chewy and not seasoned very well. Overall kind of disappointing, just a step above an Applebee’s. By the time I got my old fashion it was watered down.
The caesars salad was nothing special, more like bag lettuce with very little dressing, no anchovies. The French Onion soup rocked and the filet was perfect. Enjoyed the Ritz cocktail and my husband said the Old Fashion was very good. Our waiter was excellent and when we return New Years Eve we will request him.
The best service I've ever had. The entrance and setting was awesome, gave a very cool vibe and a glimpse to the past.
I liked the quietness and softer atmosphere of the prior steakhouse
Food was good, I say overpriced
$110 for just myself , with steak ,soup and a very small beet salad, no cocktails
I had lobster tail which was half of what normally pay it was absolutely awesome. Also the waggue short ribs first time to ever eat there I’ll be back
What I didn’t appreciate and didn’t like was charging me 48.00 for 2 STRAWS! The last time I ate there I took 2 aluminum straws from my drink! I guess lots of people were doing this because they were unique! Well, guess the restaurant felt it was costing them a lot of money which I can understand and started charging! They should have told me that if I helped myself to the straws it would cost me 48.00!!
Ordered New York and Filet steaks medium-well. Both came out charred. Neither of us ate them. Asked for a manager and waited 15 minutes and manager still never showed up. Informed our waitress we wouldn't be paying for the steaks and paid rest of tab and left. Also from time we sat down to receiving our food was about a 70 minutes.
This was the single worse dining experience in memory. We were seated very quickly in a back alcove next to a party of 12. In the alcove, an already loud party became even louder.
We ordered a rib cap, medium plus and and a New York, medium rare. I ordered an iced tea and my guest had 3 alcoholic beverages.
After our first round of drinks, my guest ordered another, the waitress took both of our empty drinks. I anticipated she’d bring me a refill, but one did not come, nor did we see her for the next 15 minutes. I asked for one when she reappeared, in turn she in turn brought me two.
Forty two minutes had passed before our steaks came out. I cut into my steak, saw it was under cooked, cut it in half again, and again to verify my steak was medium rare. My guest’s was medium plus. When our sides were brought out I had the server take the steaks back.
Four hot sides, no plates or utensils sat before us. The waitress returned, apologized and said the chef assured her it will only be a few minutes. At this point I ask for plates and utensils so we can eat the sides before they go cold.
The mac & cheese was flavored with truffle but the menu made no mention of it. My guest and I both dislike it very much, so I can’t speak to the quality of the dish. The asparagus was either not seasoned and cooked well or it was bad, I couldn’t determine which. The potato purée was the highlight of the meal.
When we did receive our steaks, my guest had a properly cooked New York and on my plate , was the same mangled piece of meat that I had returned. I the waitress came back and I didn’t have to say anything for her to immediately start apologizing. I told her I wanted the bill, my guest wanted a manager to look over the state of my plate. The manager came and apologized I said I wanted the check, to which she replied we were free to go.
Unfortunately, it was a bad dining environment, bad service and an equally bad kitchen. Go elsewhere, there are so many other better options.
Ate there twice recently
- nice new remodel
- great steak
- not rushed
- charged for additional bread
- it’s ok to charge for specialty sauces, but charging $5 for ketchup? Cmon
The waitress was very Friendly and made us feel welcome. The filet and Yukon mashed potatoes were like buttery creamy goodness. We had the appetizer with a small lobster tail. Kinda tasteless, the crab meat was amazing. I didn't get to eat the shrimp. My choice. Overall would go back. Was 200.00 for 2 people
Excellent food and service. Everyone was friendly , from the people who checked you in, all the way to the top with the manager visible and engaged . In our excitement at seeing the executive chef, Lamar came out for a photo op taken by the manager. We would go back in a heartbeat !
