Bulla Gastrobar - Atlanta
Vibrant bar. Attentive staff. Good tapas. Fun evening.
Just fine, nothing exceptional. Ok food, not authentic (crema Catalana was a disaster, stay away). Noisy. Cool ambience.
Went on a rainy night with some friends in town from LA...
Food was outstanding, flavorful, nice presentation and the flow of small plates was paced perfectly!
Would definitely visit again...highly recommend.
The food always impresses and the service was superb!
Wonderful experience at Bulls this evening! The food was delicious and delivered timely, and our waitress was wonderful. Will be returning for sure!
I went to Bulla to celebrate my birthday and everything was great! They were so accommodating with changing us to a bigger table when I found out more people were coming! The food was amazing! All the tapas and drinks we got were fantastic! The waitress even brought a free round of shots and a free dessert to the table for my birthday! Definitely will come back!
Tapas were awesome. Nice change of pace.
Food was OK, particularly the charcuterie. Our server, Deandre, was excellent!
Have recently become a big fan of Bulla. The food is fantastic and authentic. Reminds me of the year I spent studying in Madrid. The service has been top notch every visit regardless of where I sit: bar, outdoors, in the restaurant proper. Bulla is a bit pricey but worth the treat or a special event. Highly recommend.
delicious food & excellent service!! we will definitely be back!
Everything we got was awesome! The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was top-notch!
We had such a fun time!! The vibe was exactly what we signed up for , and we ran into some friends while there!! Honestly the only thing we weren’t a fan of was that happy huit was only at the bar!
Our server was Diamond. She was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, it was our first time visit for brunch. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The smoked salmon and watermelon salad were great as was the Bulla burger. And one of the best Bloody Mary’s that I’ve had.
Absolutely great Moscow Mules. Very good small plates. A lovely waitress. The only annoying part was the hostess who made believe she couldn’t find our reservation. But we did get a requested table outside and it was lovely.
No recommendation because there are so many other choices. This review only allows a food review. The drink menu is vitally important as well. The bar was not stocked well and appears to cater to a limited and average taste. I like a restaurant with a great bar, other tapas restaurants can and do provide that.
Overall, a great experience! Andre ensured we were taken care of from start to finish, even when the hostess sat us at a high-top when I’d requested something low for my short legs. The drinks, the food, the service... all excellent! My friend and I shared 7-8 small plates, and while I had a Sangria Roja, she had a glass of red wine. All were so delicious.
Bulla was great as per usual! Been coming back just to sit at the bar, since my first time at Bulla Atlanta a little over a year ago. When you you come in, ask for Cynthia! She’s a total gem — always super attentive, professional, kind, and notices every little detail to ensure that your experience as a customer is stellar. Will definitely keep coming back because of this!
But service needs to improve .. waiters needy to be more professional, and do not spill food over customers.. very bad
This was our first visit to Bulla Gastrobar. We were seated next to two other occupied tables in a corner when there were empty tables all over the restaurant. I'm sure this made it easier for the server, but they should really spread the customers out when it isn't busy so you don't feel you're dining on top of strangers. The food was great, but appetizer portions are very small. The bathroom is a hike up four flights of stairs - so be sure to take the elevator!
First time there and decided to try since we enjoy Spanish food after spending a month in Spain. Everything was great - tapas and large plates - very authentic. Shared some things and enjoyed individual dishes. Like that they change dishes based on season or what is available. Really enjoyed the open-air dining on the second floor. Open windows seemed to cut down on the noise level which was great. Our server, Ashley was super - prompt, provided great explanation, and was engaging. Manager stopped by and was also great.
If there was a minor complaint it would be the wine list and drinks. Wife and myself had a martini - a little small and over-priced. Wine list especially Spanish wines could be better represented and with cheaper selections. Website list was more extensive and more reasonably priced, but actual list did not reflect it.
We would go back again? Yes, a definite YES!!!
Went to Bulla Gastrobar for Happy Hour! The food and drinks were fantastic! The only downside if you have to sit at the bar for happy hour
The service was outstanding as was the food. Authentic Spanish food at a great price and great ambience.
Andre provided very good service.
One of my guest was surprised to see the up charge for Tito’s vodka in Moscow Mule. She didn’t mind paying it, but the server should have mentioned it at the time she ordered.
The hostess was very pleasant and happy to move us from an outside table when we told her it was too hot.
I always enjoy the food. This is my go to place when friends are in town.
All tapas tonight - grilled octopus on a roasted corn base, crispy calamari, brisket open faced sliders and patatas bravos. Good meal - will go back for the paella!
Great night out with friends. The patio was awesome!
The food is consistent and service was at times slow however the entire staff was very friendly. The AC was out and they had the doors open (it was over 95 degrees F. outside) so then came the flies.
Over priced but good. Service was ok server was great for first half of dinner and then totally disappeared on us
Been a while since I have been...service was much, much better. Food was great. Food has always been good, service in past has been less than desirable....
Will definitely return again soon...
Patio is very nice and chill! Definitely set the vibe on a nice day for get together with friends. Also make sure you try their fresh squeezed OJ! Soooo good
Brought my girl friend from outta town and she loved it! Great atmosphere, great food, and our server Catherine was amazing! Perfect girls brunch.
Bulla never disappoints! The food, service, and atmosphere was incredible as always. One of my favorite restaurants in all of Atlanta.
Amazing brisket dish. I’ll dream of this meal!!
I have been to Bulla Gastrobar before, and I was expecting a good time for a birthday celebration. However, I did not. I received a phone call asking where I was right at the time of my reservation. I was walking through the door. They take us to our seats and ask if it’s okay but literally didn’t have any options if it wasn’t okay. The table was slanted!! Lip gloss rolled down the table. Wine glasses were not okay. We waited fifteen minutes for any one to acknowledge us! Not even water nor a menu! We ordered sangria which was refreshing and tasty, however it came out with our food. They didn’t even offer to pour the sangria. He couldn’t remember who even ordered what drinks. The food came out at once, but we had no silverware. We asked for silverware however he literally said no and we all thought he was joking. The waiter described moist towelettes and asked if we wanted those instead of forks and napkins. Again, we thought he was joking. He returns with two sets of silverware when we had six people. We also did not have plates to share the tapas. Twelve minutes later, once the food cooled down, our waiter brought all of us napkins and plates. Finally, we ate our food which was good. He never asked if we wanted more drinks or order more tapas. We had mentioned on OpenTable it was a birthday celebration and told the waiter, but nothing happened. At the end of the meal, we were talking about our plans and he said “oh happy birthday” even though he said it at the beginning of the meal. We think our waiter was under the influence and not professional at all. Overall, the food was good but service was nonexistent. I wish I had taken friends from out of town to another tapas establishment like Barcelona or GK or Iberian Pig. I would not recommended for any group bigger than two. The smaller tables were being served effectively. As I was leaving, I mentioned my experience to the manager.
We went for lunch, and it was pleasant and not too loud for catching up with a friend. The food was delicious.
It would be even better if they had a dedicated gluten free menu or notations on the menu for items that are or could be made gluten (or other allergen) free.
Our server was knowledgeable, but the person who brought me the wrong food wasn't, and that can be a problem for some people with a more serious allergy than mine.
The food was good. It was a nice atmosphere sitting on the patio after work until our waiter went missing multiple times. The service was seriously abysmal. Not only did our waiter disappear for long stretches, no one bused our plates and flies stared buzzing around the food scraps. It wasn’t even that busy. This was my second visit. First time, the waiter was better but didn’t know how to open a bottle of wine with a corkscrew and we had to help. I didn’t mind but it did point to lack of training. The food and the service quality are very mismatched.
Great location and loved the atmosphere and our group had an enjoyable dinner. The food was tasty, but I wasn’t blown away with any single dish. We sampled the cerviche, octopus, pork pintxos & paella. The table favorite was the pintxos. I did appreciate the variety of dishes offered for a tapas restaurant, as well as the flavors and dish preparation. I considered the price reasonable for the service, atmosphere and quality of food.
We have been here many times this was the first time it was so unorganized, and chaotic.
The food was amazing. The atmosphere was equally awesome. The service on the other hand was absolutely horrible. It took 20 minutes for someone to show up at our table to take our drink orders. Another 10 minutes to take the small plate orders. The server was absolutely out of it and we simply felt rushed, unwelcome and to make things even worse, he was absolutely rude. So were all the other servers around. All the guests seating outside experiences the same thing. It was the main subject of conversation in other tables. With how amazing your food is, you should really pay attention to the service. It matters even more. Get it together please.
Great as always!
