Cacio & Pepe
Lovely atmosphere and welcoming staff. The food is delicious, I always struggle to decide what to have as such a lovely choice. Looking forward to going back again soon.
I have been with my son and wife for a dinner. The service was at the top and the food was delicious. I definitely advise to go.
Lovely everything just a little expensive
Everything was lovely. We all had a wonderful evening.
Excellent Italian food, well presented, hot and without too long a wait. Would benefit from an additional waiter possibly, but appreciate that difficult to gauge how busy going to be.
Suffice to say, whist Cacio & Pepe was busy on our visit, the Indian opposite had no diners, and neighbouring Italian half full at best. Says it all.
On a whim, we went out and enjoyed a pleasant evening meal - first time here since change of name and presumably ownership. Friendly service; meal sligthly slow in coming but was prepared to order and we weren't in a hurry. Friendly staff. Will be going back soon.
Outstanding Service excellent menu. Generous portions. Well worth a visit
A Great little restaurant that has re-opened recently under new ownership.
Under the previous management, it has long been a favourite of ours. We've had many great meals and family get togethers here in the past 12 months.
The ambience, hospitality and food have always been good but I am happy to report that the new team have upped the standards and made it even better.
Happy to recommend.
This was our second time visiting and we took our family with. They all loved it! The food was so tasty and made fresh, the service was fantastic and we were made to feel so welcome. This is definitely one of my fave restaurants!
We had the most amazing dinner on new years eve! The food was so tasty and fresh, the wine selection was great and the ambiance warm and welcoming. We will definitely be going back there!
Everything was fantastic. Will definitely be going again.
We have a house in Southern Italy and we know Italian food extremely well. This is a very good place. Perhaps more authentic that most pasta / pizza brits are open minded enough to embrace! Excellent.
By far the best Italian in Rochester! Fantastic service
Franco was the most amazing host. His food was to die for! The best Italian in Rochester by far! The bread was baked fresh and the pasta was amazing. Would definitely recommend the carbonara.
Arrived. Had booked but no one checked and table not ready. Nice welcome. Good menu selection at reasonable prices. Waitress not happy. Sent my meal back as not completely cooked. Very apologetic but no reduced to Bill or offer of free drink. Music on very loud making it hard to have a conversation. Shame. Well located and owner/manager great just other staff not so. Overall ok but would think twice before returning
Visited here with 3 other ladies on a Friday evening, it was very quiet only one or two other diners.
Warm welcome by staff, the restaurant was exceptionally hot, so maybe that could be turned down a little.
Wine came promptly, we had to ask again for the water.
Food was good, but served on cold plates, and as this was pasta, the food cooled down very quickly, in fact one of our party asked for hers to be popped in microwave as it had gone cold. This was done without a problem, but shouldn’t have been necessary.
The coffee was not very good and seemed ‘watery’, so hopefully this can be improved.
Early days for this restaurant, just a couple of things need improvement.
We had an enjoyable evening
We dined here with another couple last Wednesday. It was early evening and the restaurant was quiet.
We enjoyed our drinks, ordered our food and didn't have to wait long until it arrived at the table.
Great food , friendly service and good value. We all said on our departure how good the experience was, and one of the group is a very good good cook! Can't wait until we visit again.
Brilliant to have this wonderful authentic Italian restaurant back in Rochester under a different name. Massive portions, but also fantastic quality. The ingredients are fresh and lovingly cooked. I can’t wait to go back
Mostly, very nice. Lovely pizza dough, light and perfectly cooked. Pasta was a little over-done for my tastes but I prefer it al dente. VERY generous portions which would make me think twice about tackling a big starter too.
I think some of the main courses are ambitiously priced (fried fish £17.95, steak are over £20) and I ordered Spaghetti con Vongole & Botarga which, at £14.95 was one of the most expensive prices I've paid for a dish that basically has 4 or 5 ingredients and it was supposed to come with Grey Mullet fish roe as well as the claims but unless it is invisible, I certainly couldn't find it or taste it.
It was a bit cold in there - turn the heating up!
All in all though - probably the best Italian in Rochester and very nice people - we'll be back.
