Pretty satisfied with our experience. Our server, a young man, was super personable and funny. The food was pretty good, I got the 1500 Benedict and I felt it was a little under seasoned. The speed of service during busy brunch was pretty great. Mimosas were good and reasonably priced, I do wish the cooks looked like they were enjoying themselves a bit more, as the kitchen is slightly open. A special thanks to all wait staff and FOH manager for making us feel cared for.
Great food and server. Hostess needs a crash course in politeness, and then need some soft surfaces to trap some of the noise as it was very loud tot he point of not hearing other at the same small 4 top table. However the food and drinks well made up for that will be back again!!
Service and ambiance were good. And the food presentation was very nice. But the food itself was lacking - the eggs benedicts had far too little hollandaise, the biscuits were dry, and the eggs were overcooked. It almost came together, but fell short. We probably won't return.
Brunch with our adult kids.
Everything was perfect.
The waiter named Cliff was very special! Cliff was friendly, enthusiastic about the restaurant and informative about the best things to order for our brunch.
The food was delicious and unique and well prepared.
The coffee was deep and rich and tasty.
I usually love this restaurant and in the past it was consistently good. But this time, both the appetizer (squid) and the steak arrived at room temperature. Not even close to being hot. The steak was very expensive. I really want to like this restaurant but one of my motivators is consistency.
We tried a new place for Valentines dinner. We have had brunch here a few times and always enjoyed it. Our welcome and service was excellent. Calamari app was awesome. Wife’s sea scallops were great. My NY strip was ok. For the price was too thin and not hot.
Very noisy, poor acoustics. Food was okay but menu seems over thought. Menu descriptions do not reflect what is actually served.
Perfect ambiance for date night. Great value. Excellent service.
We eat here fairly often. Very handy for Midtown venues. Always a friendly staff. Very tasty!
Fantastic! We had a great time, our food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun and carefree!
Really like the brunch menu. The service is very good. Could use some sound absorbing materials to dampen the noise level. Also, could use sun filtering shades on the southern windows during sunny days.
Excellent service. Delicious food.
Great food, great service and great mimosas. I would recommend it.
Our waiter was fantastic! I can’t remember his name but he’s only there Sundays and has purple l/black hair. Food was excellent and the large mimosa was perfect for two people.
Best place ever! 🤩
Cafe 1500 was a great place to have a small birthday brunch with my family! Everyone loved their meals and the peach mimosas were absolutely lovely. My dad tried a cocktail that he just wasn't crazy about and they comped it, which was very kind and not expected. The aesthetic was very relaxing and I look forward to what they have to offer for 3rd in the Burg!
Cafe 1500 uses fresh ingredients in a creative way to deliver excellent cuisine. The brussels sprouts bowl appetizer is particularly tasty. Specials are always worth trying - fish cooked perfectly, delicious salads with unique ingredients. I'll keep returning for new adventures.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Well worth a visit.
Had a wonderful experience, a dear friend (former husband) meeting the man in my life. Perfect atmosphere!
Real flowers or non on the tables would be better energy than dying succlents <3
Just a small observation......
Server was very pleasant & this is our second time trying the brunch. Food is mediocre at best- chef omelet was smothered with goat cheese that overpowered the few vegetables that were on the omelet. My husband disliked the grainy cornbread pancakes and so we won’t be back. It’s too loud in there to hardly hear your own conversation- this place hasn’t improved so I can’t recommend for brunch.
My friend and I chose Cafe 1500 because we heard the food and atmosphere was great. I must say that we were not disappointed. The food and service was great. Our waiter was the BEST, I eat out frequently and the way he treated us was 5 star.
I will definitely be returning.... I love the variety of mimosas❤️
Great way to celebrate a Bridesmaid Brunch
The food was absolutely delicious! I will be back again for brunch. My only suggestion is to lower the music volume. It was pretty loud.
Best brunch place!
Food came out wrong for apps and dinner. Looked better than it tasted as well. Servers were nice.
The steak fritas special was absolutely delicious! Not many people were at the restaurant, however we were there for dinner on a Thursday night. Ambiance was modern and peaceful. Server was nice and the food came out relatively quick. Overall great experience!
Super experience. Staff and manager very personable . Great food, great service
A great atmosphere, staff, and food. I wish I lived closer so I could come back more often!
The service was very good but I think they could have used a couple more wait staff. The food was very good but my husbands could have been hotter.
We really enjoyed the decor and mood at Cafe 1500 and the menu for Restaurant week was awesome. Perfect portions for a very reasonable price.
Café 1500's five course tasting menu for Restaurant Week was fabulous! The Korean chicken was excellent, as were the short ribs. My French martini was perfect. Staff was top notch. The restaurant is modern, chic and welcoming. Overall superb dining experience!
My husband and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary with brunch. Our service and food were exceptional.
New restaurant for us and really loved it. Food was wonderful and loved the setting! Will come back again.
We got there and sat for about 5 minutes before anyone came with water. Our waitress spent more time talking to coworkers than attending to us. We asked for a water refill and she didn’t come back until after we had finished eating. The food came out cold because the waitress was more concerned with socializing. The only good thing was the fresh squeezed orange juice... which was $4 and the coffee. The only good thing was the decoration. Will not be going back not worth the price of food for the quality.
This was my 3rd time at Cafe 1500. The first time I ordered from their regular menu and the food was quite good. Then I went to a beer tasting and the food was okay. This time was the Restaurant Week menu and once again, the food was okay. Their chef(s) seem to have some imaginative ideas which they can't quite execute. Service was definitely on the down side but that might have been due to a larger than expected crowd for Restaurant Week. The restaurant was quite cold as it has been every time I've been there and the noise level is extreme. I won't rule out returning but if I do it will be to order from the regular menu.
The restaurant has a large, fairly open dining room decorated in a modern urban style with quirky, colorful artwork from the same artist. Our server, Trisha (sp?) was friendly and attentive. We came here for restaurant week and essentially had a 5-course tapas offering. I had the (1) Korean fried chicken (2) orange and avocado salad (3) tuna nicoise poke (4) 5-hr short ribs and (5) peach cobbler along with a burning man cocktail and all were fantastic and perfectly portioned. We didn't have to wait long for our food, but we were also the first set of diners in the place just after 5PM. We'll be coming back!
I love Cafe 1500 but my experience Sunday wasn’t the best. My friend an I ordered the bottomless mimosas and when telling the waitress this she only offered us the pomegranate mimosa saying it has more alcohol and it’s really good so we should get it. We agreed to getting that assuming it was the $15 price that was on the menu. After we were low on that we then asked for a regular mimosa pitcher because I didn’t particularly like the pomegranate. When it was time to pay we were charged $25 for the pomegranate (which we thought was the same price as the other mimosas and $15 and the waitress did not disclose when only offering us that flavor that it cost more) then we have to pay $15 on top of that for the regular mimosa pitcher we asked for. (Also not knowing we would have to pay extra for a new flavor) If we would have known the pomegranate was more we wouldn’t have gotten that. And if we would have known that we would of had to pay for a whole new pitcher then we wouldn’t have done that either. Sort of takes away from the whole “bottomless” idea. I can honestly say I wasn’t impressed this visit at all.
Food was delicious and presented well! Service was friendly and efficient! Decor is industrial and Art Deco! Wonderful experience!
