   Tables very close together afternoon tea with champagne 🥂 not cheap when you only get one small glass of champagne a small bottle each would make more sense

   Great Sunday lunch. Food was great & staff were excellent. Only downside was the nearness of other tables & it was very noisy. But hey what do you expect on Mother’s Day!

   I booked a table for my sisters 40th birthday and we enjoyed the champagne afternoon tea. The service was very good and the highlight was the warm scones which sometimes I have to request at other places I’ve been, but here it seems it is standard which I liked. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful and give us some info on where else we could visit for a cocktail after shopping. I would definitely visit again .

   This is always a reliable place for well cooked food at lunchtime, with some nice creativity on the menu. As with most places, the prices have gone up a lot and therefore sadly it is a rarer outing these days

    A regular at Cafe 21 and it is normally top notch but not this time, table service was not to the standard I have come to expect unfortunately.

    It feels more like a warehouse canteen than a nice place for afternoon tea. Cramming tables in next to the lift while taking bins out through it was not what I would expect on Christmas Eve. Definitely wouldn’t return and was a disappointment.

    Fantastic customer service, very attentive without being overpowering. Festive afternoon tea was delicious. Felt the room could have been a little more Christmassy tho, a bit disappointing really.

    This is one of my favourite places to visit but I was a little disappointed this time. I had booked a table and arrived on time but was stood waiting to be seated for quite a long time. Several members of staff saw me waiting but didn’t acknowledge me which I think is plain rude. They also used to give you bread and butter but that didn’t happen this time.

    restaurant was extremely busy but the reservation was ready on time, the staff were attentive at all times. Afternoon tea was very pleasant, 'doggy bag' was needed and promptly available. A lovely experience.

    An early Christmas late lunch dining with my daughter. Busy with lots of staff around, who were all friendly and approachable. We ate a very tasty nicely presented festive lunch from a set menu. My first mulled wine of the season. Very nice. A wonderful dining experience. Can’t wait to visit again.

    Service was really good, the food was tasty. Scones and cakes were delicious, sandwiches had dried out a little which was disappointing, but the taste was still good. Having had similar food selection and quality I would say it is not great value for money. This was a birthday celebration outing so was fun and in enjoyable surroundings and I will definitely return to the venue, but will not choose the afternoon tea again.

    Rude staff who openly talk rudely about the customers, in plain sight and don't apologise when they realise they have been caught. Food completely average (5/10), not worth the prices. Festive afternoon with no festivity at all apart from chocolate antlers stuck in the side of the one macaron. Will not be returning, absolutely disgusted at the staff.

    Devon was amazing, such a lovely friendly person who couldn't be more helpful so 5 stars to her! Other staff were nice but she stood out. A cake each wouldn't go amiss considering the price, but food was nice! I am veggie so we got separate ones to keep my sandwiches away from the meat/fish.

    The food was really good. Ordered a truffle burger and fries. It was a proper burger made from ground beef and topped with cheese, thankfully not the plastic-looking American style cheese. No offence to our friends across the pond :) Best of all, there was no pointless garnish that everyone leaves anyway. Only downside was that the tables were a little too close together, but it’s a minor nitpick.

    Afternoon tea for 2, nice food, small tables not much room, only given one plate each for all the food, so Savoury and sweet on the one plate. Very busy, very loud with chatter, no music, an expensive treat for our silver wedding anniversary with no special treatment. We were slightly disappointed as we had put this on our table booking. My cup wasn't even clean, so I asked for a clean one, which I did get. Overall expensive and would not be returning.
