Cafe Bizou - Agoura Hills
We had a lovely evening, celebrating a birthday with family...thank you so much for an outstanding dinner!!!
One of my favorites. Bring your own wine for small corkage fee. Food is yummy.
I have eaten almost all items on the menu and enjoy eating everything they offer. I eat here almost once a week. Good value and a good meal.
Amazing little spot, with great food that’s affordable! We went on a rainy Tuesday night and the restaurant was full!
Delicious food ! Attentive service and warm, calming ambience!
As always, food is consistently good as well the service. Never disappointed with my selection. They are also very flexible on the preparation such as the halibut made with the sauce of the sand dabs. One of my favorite local restaurants.
Great service and food. Always consistently on point.
We had to wait 1 hour with reservation, But beside that everything was great
Everything was WONDERFUL! Food, waitstaff, decor, etc.. perfect for a romantic date night. We will be back!
I've learned a valuable lesson - Cafe Bizou is PACKED on Saturday nights. I love the food here but to wait 40 minutes to be seated is painful, especially when we had a reservation. We usually eat here during the week or on Sunday nights. It's still full but not as crazy as it was on Saturday night. If you go, be warned....
everything was great we will go back again and again
Food was excellent. Our waiter was good. Main issue was we waited for 55 minutes to be seated with a reservation. They overbook the place. They need to manage better.
Love it here. $2 corkage and $11 snails!
This a neighborhood gem with superior service and attention to food quality and fresh ingredients. The male waiters are courteous, polite, well groomed and attractive.
They add a European touch to the polished dining atmosphere that is French Flair cuisine. The fresh sourdough bread was so chewy and warmly toasted which is the best way to have savor bread. The butter sticks could have been better upgraded to real imported French butter but the fresh bread was the real winner even plain. Our escargots were delicately seasoned with light olive oil and tasted succulent. The lobster bisque was also creamy light without being over salted and it was delicious. We brought our own favorite bottle of red wine O’Brien estate Seduction from Napa Valley to celebrate our anniversary and the corkage fee is only $2!!! My husband and I ordered the lobster shrimp and scallops over black pasta and the seafood portion size was enormous!! We were so full from our meals but still wanted to try their dessert. We enjoyed the flourless chocolate cake with raspberry sauce and cream along with tiramisu and cappuccino! This dining experience exceeded our expectations and we only knew about this place because we met a couple at Novo Cafe the previous Saturday before and they recommended Cafe Bizou! The menu has a wide selection of fish seafood pasta and grilled steaks and other meats along with salad. I am a fine dining experienced foodie and this is a gourmet jewel!!
The prefixe 3 course menu is great value and we will definitely be back !!! You will be amazed at the immaculate food and service here !!
Great food. Great service. Great value. Go once and become a regular.
first visit there very very good food and reasonable
we will recommended to our friends
Very enjoyable evening. Dined on various menu selections as well as the prix fixe specials. All food was fine quality. Service was professional, friendly and prompt.
We love this place! The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is elegant. You can't go wrong!
The service is always attentive and unobtrusive, no matter how busy they are. Plus all the food items are deliciously prepared.
We had an amazing dinner at cafe Bizou Last Friday .
We had a reservation
They were very busy of course imagine when you have such a combination of a good food and good service.
We had may be 20 min wait, which i love it, i have time to have my favorite pear martini at the bar .
In 20 min Maitre D took us to a lovely cozy table, it was small and perfect for two , we could sit beside to each other and have a romantic dinner
Ambiance quite nice romantic and intimate.
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent.
Everybody who was leaving the restaurant was quite happy, i had a feeling everyone who comes to cafe Bizou want to be pamper and carried, Metre D is very personal with everyone and gives a special attention to everyone.
Me and my friend like it so much, that we made Sunday reservation to bring a family and have them to have this amazing experience .
This is one of those restaurants that is hidden gems.
You cannot beat the value of this place.
I would go every week if i could.
Its my favorite place now.
the best place around this area, cannot say enough about cafe bizou.
As always the food was excellent. Our guests loved it! Tight fit at the tables, and the noise level is high. You can’t beat the value of this place and how good the food is.
I love cafe bizou, their sauces are otherworldly but last night both the steak and the lamb were more cooked than had been requested.
Still very good and we will surely go again.
The food and service exceeded my expectations and I have placed your restaurant at the top of my list. I had reviewed your menu on the internet and thought the prices were out of date like many other restaurants. Imagine how surprised I was when I saw your menu in the restaurant. The prices were the same as the menu online. Congratulations.
Overbooked. Total chaos. Waited over 30 minutes WITH a Reservation and then they tried to cram 3 of us into a table for 2 which was on top of another crammed table. Parties of 4
were crammed into tables for 2. Like herding cattle. Won’t ever go back on a Friday night. What’s the point of taking reservations on open table when they didn’t even have it in the book. They were looking it up while we were standing there along with 15 other people standing waiting who were also not getting seated anywhere near on time.
We had reservations but had to wait about 45 minutes to get seated. Once we were seated the service was good and the food was good.
Hmmm...I loved Cafe Bizou in Sherman Oaks. This Agoura Hills restaurant seems like a poorer facsimile of the original, like the owners retired and their kids are now just phoning it in. The decor, though similar, doesn't quite mask the office-suite-in-a-mini-mall feel of the space, whether it's the white acoustical tiled ceiling, or the bar that seems a transient afterthought, at best. The restaurant was busy and the service was slow. The food was meh [three of us ordered the Trio of Meat, and only the person who ordered theirs "medium" received it cooked to order; the other two of us ordered ours medium-rare and received ours medium to well done (no pink)]. My lamb chops were tiny and overcooked, and my short ribs, though very tender, were covered in sticky sweet sauce. I should have stuck with (my favorite standbys) the monkfish or steak au poivre. That said, my soup (split pea) was delicious. Sigh. Will I return? Yes, I will give it another try, because the enduring quality of the original merits doing so. I just hope that the next visit comes closer to approximating the old Cafe Bizou, in terms of quality of service and food. Thanks for listening.
This is my second review this month.
As in the first, I found the location of this property underwhelming, but once inside the warm and friendly vibes trumped ordinary strip mall atmosphere outside.
All this aside, when the food and service is this outstanding, people will come in droves. (Best to have a reservation at any seating)
Easy, great food, nice well trained staff, consistent, plenty of parking.
I am a regular patron to Cafe Bizou. My most recent experience featured untypical slow service. I think we were forgotten or missed.
The waiter made up for the mistake with free dessert and coffee.
No problem, we weren’t in a hurry!
We came at a bad time--a party of 16 arrived just after us, so service was slow and the food was not up to the usual standard.
Great place. Excellent food and service.
My favorite restaurant.
On Tuesday night we went to have a dinner with a family
We had a reservation and were taking to our table right the way ,even it was very busy for Tuesday night .
Ambiance is very romantic with white tablecloth and candles.
The food is excellent
Service is great as usual .
The best restaurant to enjoy your evening with a family and friends
We Had a wonderful time, perfect place for any occasions, service was excellent, the food, I don't remember have such a nice dinner around agoura since a long time, the price is more than reasonable, only 2$ corkage fee, and a free parking. We ll definitely come back
Great food, fantastic service. Nice menu variety.
The food was delicious, the service was outstanding. The ambiance is lovely and we will most definitely come back for more.
I am recommending this only conditionally. We had a reservation that we waited over a half hour for and others were waiting much longer than that. According to a couple of people, this is normal. Made me wonder why they even take reservations in the first place?! The lay-out of this restaurant is very problematic when wait staff are coming at you with plates of food (not their fault!) as you walk in the door. The portions were also pretty small but good and we liked that the cork fee is only $3/bottle.
consistently good food and services at the new location.
The food is amazing for the price. The wine is not too expensive. The service was prompt and the waiter was very professional. My very smart wife decided we would have a early meal to celebrate her brother's birth date. It was his first visit to your restaurant and he and his wife loved it! We were all amazed at the large crowd waiting to get in when we left. This is a great place and we will be back
