Booked an outdoor table for 3 people for Christmas. Due to COVID and the time of year the restaurant was at full capacity which shows people respect and love this restaurant. The food was excellent. I had a creamy marinara and it was all fresh. My sticky date pudding was very generous in size. I left there full and satisfied. Shall attend next time I’m in Melbourne.

We had a good dining experience . We are repeat customers , have been dining at cafe cav for many years .
I was disappointed this time around that I wasn’t able to book outdoor dining . When we arrived there were lots of empty tables on the footpath , but we were not allowed to sit there . I guess next time we won’t book , just turn up . Thanks .

They've ruined me forever for gnocchi. Their gnocchi is SO GOOD that everywhere else seems terrible now! Their Gnocchi Cardinale is amazing. All their pastas and pizzas are great too. But their gnocchi is the best in Melbourne.

My favourite restaurant. So happy they're open again. I love the marinara pizza with chilli, the chilli mussel pasta, & cardinals. Great value & service. A+

Service wasn’t the best took a while to take our order and then we were told to leave after an hour even though we had a 2 hour reservation. The food was lovely. Would’ve been great if we had time to finish.
