Cafe One - Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre
Overall, it was a very good experience. Service was great, the seating was spacious. The dine out menu was good for value, no glimmicks!
Dine Out Vancouver 2020
Overall it was a nice experience. The food was delicious and service was good. The hostess assumed we had reservations for 5 people and then didn’t take our order for a while assuming there were 3 more people coming even though we tried to make eye contact and waved our hands numerous times. Our reservation was for 2 people clearly and unmistakably. The food tasted great, however I found the portions a little too small for a $35 price tag. This was for Dine Out 2020.
Went for dine out, portion size was very small and slow service time.
Came for dine out. Food was bland and some were butter. Serving sizes were tiny considering the price. Service was a bizmull. No quality checks and long waits in between.
Christmas Day dinner
Set menu and price
Food good but not outstanding
Service very efficient
Pleasant environment, enjoyed live piano player
Christmas Day dinner. We thought it was a buffet but instead a set menu. Waiter suggested the kids order from the bar menu and they were thrilled as they are not turkey lovers. Grateful to the waiter. We also invited a woman who was eating alone to join our party of 7. It was in the true spirit of Christmas!!
The Christmas dinner we had was good but for the price we paid I expected a better experience. The service was great and the ambiance was nice. The turkey was cold but the stuffing was delicious.I have had better food there before so I would recommend it just don,t have the Christmas dinner there. This was the first time I was never really full after eating Christmas dinner.
When I booked for Christmas lunch I did not notice that it was brunch venue. We did not want brunch so we were given a menu which had no traditional courses ie turkey/ with veggies; prime rib etc. So we were disappointed. Must say that our fish and chip were fine but not what we were hoping for a Christmas meal. There was no Christmas pudding or cake for dessert.
the service was very good but the noise level was 'energetic' which made it difficult to hear the other person at my table.
The coffee was very expensive - for ordinary coffee and not speciality coffee
The service was disorganized. The food was ok, but pretty basic by hotel standards. The dining area is not particularly nice. I wouldn't go again. Overall, not worth it.
Good quality food and service was great - very attentive and friendly.
Very friendly staff and brought a treat for my daughter ‘s b day. Good food and nice atmosphere. Parking is costly underground. Would definitely recommend for people who wants to have family celebration.
Excellent location for a casual get together with friends, good food, service at a very good price.
Great experience as always! The food looked beautiful and was delicious. Service was flawless! I will come back soon for sure
Ate here for breakfast, food was great!
great service and was well recommended!
Not that great. Food was just ok. Didn’t find it special in anyway
Extremely poor server, no sight of him , no refill of coffee. Our server gave us an impression that he doesn't want to serve you. He made my day so uncomfortable.
Prompt, polite service and the food came out hot. Eggs benny were delicious.
A beautiful place to eat the music was amazing
Our server was great
I’m sorry that I don’t remember this lady’s name but she is awesome
The bar was busy and noisy. The restaurant was empty. By the time we left there were 2 other tables. It’s part of the hotel lobby and the acoustics do mean that there is a lot of noise bouncing around. Food was good. Tomato soup and chicken liver pate as starters then burger and a quinoa bowl for main courses. Nicely presented, tasty and decent portions.
It was very conveniently located for us to go across the street to Comedy Mix
I Loved their bouillabaisse! And their orange sorbet and sponge cake!
First breakfast of the year 2019 and it was amazing
We were seated quickly by very friendly staff and the food was great well displayed and tasted great. Would definitely come by again for sure. Keep up the good work.
Happy New year to you all
My daughter and I wanted to do something different for Christmas this year. After looking at other menus offered in the city for Christmas dinner we decided that Cafe One was offering a reasonably priced authentic dinner. We enjoyed a wonderful turkey dinner with all the fixings. The service was excellent and dessert was to die for! Highly recommend Cafe One!
We just came home from Christmas dinner at the Vancouver Wall Centre Cafe One and was somewhat disappointed.
There was a Christmas tree which was very nice,
there was a piano player which was enjoyable,
our server Jasper was excellent and
our food was ok.
The tables had few festive decorations,
there were no Christmas crackers,
so we really didn't feel this meal was any different than any normal day in December at a Ricky's or IHOP. Six hundred dollars later we really didn't feel our Christmas dinner was a noteworthy experience we would repeat.
In addition, we had members who were celiac and the Wall Centre was informed when we made the reservation and long before we attended. Everyone else ate a warm Toffee Sticky Pudding with ice cream and a pumpkin puree whereas our celiac members were only offered vanilla ice cream. You would think with advanced notice and given it was a special occasion some effort could have been made to make another dessert equal to the other members of our party.
Had Christmas dinner there was expecting more for the price
The fixed Christmas menu was unimaginative. Excellent service with such pleasant servers. I couldn't/didn't eat the main course as the turkey "roll" tasted awful - it was fatty and wild tasting. Good soup for an ordinary meal - celery "potage" is hardly Christmas fare. Dessert was pretty good but overall no value for money whatsoever.
This restaurant was a nice place to have Christmas brunch with a small family coming from various locations in Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. The underground parking was easy to access and not expensive. The live piano music was lovely and the service was helpful and discreet. There were not a lot of vegetarian options but when I asked a server about that he went out of his way to find something extra and bring it to our table for the two vegetarians - the mushroom ravioli was delicious. We did not feel rushed at all and were able to spend several hours relaxing by the windows drinking tea.
El menú suficiente y con buen sazón, la atención excelente.
Great staff. Great food!
Love this place for any occasion
OK food. Liked ambience. Waiter was confused with the bill payment even though we told him which of us were couple.(there were 6 people. ie 3 couples.)
Would go again. I like the parking ease, the closeness to theatres and the ambience.
Good place for lunch with lot of sunshine and nice ambience.
I would give the food 5 stars but breakfast potatoes were frozen nuggets. Other than that, the food is excellent!
Staff are awesome!
Plastic chairs are too narrow for comfort.
Uncomfortable see-thru plastic chairs that would only fit children or petite people. Absolutely ridiculous any person would think these are acceptabe for their restaurant.
Very poor service. Food was not good. Ambiance lacking. Plastic chairs are ridiculous. Could never recommend. Never will go back.
