   The salad didn’t come out until after we got our meal. The wife said her salad was soggy and all iceberg lettuce. We ordered the prime rib and baked potato and everything was cold when it was served. The manager came to the table and we explained that everything was cold to the touch. He took the meal back and say he would take care of the problem. The food came out later nicely hot, but the manager never followed up to see if things were better. The waitress never acknowledged a problem until she gave us the check and apologized that that the salad didn’t come before the meal and said nothing about the cold meal.

   They need to bring back some type of rice to go with the salmon. It was very good with rice not mash potatoes.

   Took a bit longer (35 min) to be seated than I expected. One of the dishes ordered did not come out until asked about after the rest of the orders were served. The area we were seated (near the bar and under a speaker) was very noisy. For these reasons I don't rate the experience as outstanding but was still very good.

   We brought it mother for her 90th birthday as she loves thesalad with chicken on it. I Had the salad with salmon on it. Both chicken and The salmon were so dry and hard. Neither were good. I always get this salad and have been coming here for over 25 years. The salad has become nothing more than a bowl of lettuce. So disappointing!!! I don't think we will ever go back.

   Our food was delicious and our service was excellent. I just wish you had frozen drinks and you would bring back the crab dip it was delicious and we got it every time that we came there.

    The food was simply amazing. Started with the she crab soup—a must! Next was the steamed peel and eat shrimp—oh my goodness! The salad was accompanied by the hot honey butter croissant—mouth watering good. Entrees included the shrimp and grits—huge serving and very flavorful—and a rack of fall off the bone tender ribs. Actually took half of the rack home. A definite must on your list of restaurants to visit in Charleston. The view was awesome, too! Service was great—food was paced perfectly.

    One of my favorite restaurants with an incredible view of the Ashley River. The food was excellent. Wish the music had not been so loud. Otherwise perfect.

    It was a great meal. Fairly new to Charleston and as a family, we try to check out new restaurants whenever we can. Had mixed feelings about this place after reading the reviews. Desided it wasn't too pricy and the views were amazing so let's check it out. I'm so glad we did. Food was great. Croissants a must. Blackened chicken pasta was great. I had the Cajun Ribeye and it was so good. I think the star of the show was surprisingly the chicken fingers my son had. It was battered like fish and chips, but with chicken. Too heavy for me, but my husband and son were all over it. Definitely goes on our frequent restaurant list.

    It's always a pleasure going to California Dreaming. My friend got the Salmon Salad and the salmon was a bit overcooked but but overall everthing was good. The house salad was awesome as usual. I ventured out and had the Shrimp Tacos and they were a nice surprise in flavor.

    The hostess had a bad attitude… I had requested a window seat if possible… she sat us in the bar and I said I didn’t want a bar seating… she was very agitated and gave us attitude… other than this everything was great… I am a hostess in a 300 seat restuarant in Myrtle beach and I never treat people rude…. She needs to get some manners …. I know it’s hard to find workers but this is not acceptable … have a good day

    The Dining experience was nice, but the dining room was packed and very loud! The was a group of students… elementary school on a field trip… two charter busses. Well behaved group just loud in the restaurant! Love California Dreaming and will return!!!

    Noise was a little high as a there were kids on a class trip there. But I have to say they were extremely well behaved. Aside from that, the food was great. Table ready on time. Parker was outstanding as our server ! Seafood Nachos were great, as were the salads, croissants, ribs ( glad I got the single size !) and cheesecake for desert. Was nice to return and look forward to the next time.

    Awful experience. Waited 45 mins after reservation time. My elderly grandmother has hearing aids, so when music is too loud in a restaurant she really struggles. We asked a manager if music could be turned down and he noted that many other guests asked the same thing but his Vice President of company (who was in office currently at the restaurant) sets the music level and cannot be touched. The VP didn’t want to come speak with us. Never returning. Beware of this awful service. We will not return.

    We made afternoon reservations for Mother's Day, and was seated within 7 minutes of checking in. This was great because they were quoting 1+ hours wait time for walk-ins. After being seated (water side), we were promptly greeted by our server. Drinks and food came out timely. Food was served fresh and hot! We loved the warm honey butter croissants! The salads are always really good! We also did enjoy our entrees which included Shrimp and Grits, Seafood Pasta and the Fried Seafood Platter. We did note for our next visit no substitutions with side items. Other than that, we did enjoy our lunch at California Dreaming. Only removed a star (only half star if I could) because we sat for a while before our checks were brought to the table which felt like we were overextending our welcome as it was a busy restaurant day. But the service otherwise was great.
