Good food. Good service. Laura was awesome!
We ordered the crab dip which was so spicy I couldn’t eat it. No where on the menu did it mention spice or ingredients that contains spice. We also got the ramen bowl which was overwhelmingly fishy, the $38 steak special which came out raw the first round and microwaved to well done after sent back, and the French dip. For dessert we had ice cream which was ok and chocolate tort. For almost $30 for dessert I expect more. Spicy poor quality food has unfortunately been our expertise with Cameo. We had brunch here a while back and found hair in our bread basket. Unfortunately due to three failed attempts to get an edible meal here we won’t return.
We always enjoy eating here. An interesting variety of foods from different cultures. All with a bit of a unique twist of flavors. Service has always been outstanding as well!
First time we dined at Cameo. Great experience, wonderful server, quality food. We were not rushed by the server, Ben, had time to enjoy our appetizer. Great options for a burger or full entrée. We will be back. Recommend reservations. Very pleasant dining experience, great addition to Rochester dining.
Great service and a def foodie and bar - location towards the north end of downtown/broadway, cool restaurant in the castle basement. Ambiance a plus, best drink I’ve ever had in rst - the.best.cubana.sandwich since Tampa.
Zach is a phenomenal chef with a changing menu that has something for everyone. Wait staff is very friendly and attentive and Dom is a favorite. You can tell the team loves their restaurant! Can’t wait for the time we can come back to enjoy this great place!
We enjoyed our meal very much. The service was very good and the wait staff reasonably attentive and very friendly. It was a birthday dinner and I was treated to a free dessert. A nice touch. My only real criticism is that the lunch and dinner menus are the same. It would be nice to have a bit more variety.
Excellent meal. Burger is always good and the roast beef sandwich, albeit could have used a bit more meat, tasted awesome.
Sweet potato curry is wonderful!
Food was great and it was our first time there. Our waiter Devin was a great kid, and knew the menu and was very attentive. We will be back!
Our waiter was great! The food was wonderful, from the salad to the dessert.
I highly recommend this restaurant!
Love the feel of the place and the food was great!
We went for brunch- impressed from start to finish. Friendly staff, delicious coffee (kept full at all times thanks to attentive servers), incredible food! Loved the decor and feel of the restaurant. They had low-key live music perfect for brunch. Can't wait to go back!
Loved the Tom Kha soup, sweet potato curry. The Machete Syrah very good
Lots of wonderful and varied menu choices. Helpful and friendly staff. Great addition to restaurant options in Rochester.
Loved this restaurant since they opened. Valentines meal specials were particularly delicious!
Our waiter Jeff was great and very attentive to details. My steak was more medium to well done verses medium rare but was very good and the sauce was wonderful. The bread pudding was amazing.
We went on Valentines Day. We got seated quickly, had a nice corner table, and a very efficient and attentive waitress. The chef offered to modify my wife’s appetizer to suit her needs. I had the Seabass which was soft and flaky; overall, great tasting entrées. The frozen strawberries we had for dessert were great. My coffee was average, though. It’s nice to have a quality, high end restaurant in Rochester. Suresh
Wonderful dining, service and ambience. The only negative would be the pork ragout entree off the menu was very salty and rather tough. Did not care for the blend of flavors. The short ribs, on the other hand were amazing.
Very nice Valentine meal with my wife. Excellent food
Great food, fun atmosphere. The service was great. Their smoked Gouda scalloped potatoes were to die for! The blue crab cakes were also pretty good. I had their steak which was perfectly cooked.
Came for a Valentines lunch. Waiter seemed new and overwhelmed. Noodles were all stuck together in dish we ordered. Pork sandwich and wild rice soup were really good. I would give dinner a chance.
This is our second date at Cameo for my wife and I. Cherrie was a fantastic waitress. We ordered calamari and tuna poke to start, which were both excellent. We then had the Tom Kha soup which was a simple portion with a great taste. Lastly we ordered the coconut curry but were both somewhat full we couldn't finish the main entree! This tasted amazing with a mix of coconut, peanuts, soft tomatoes, and we added tofu. Great night with a fun atmosphere.
We love going there. The food is amazing!
Mediocre food. Good service. A little pricey. Would be worth the price if the food was a bit better
Cameo is our new top spot in Rochester.
The menu is great with a lot of variety and drinks are fabulous too! Service is fantastic. If you have an opportunity, sit at (Sherry's) table.
This was the first time at Cameo for us. We couldn’t chosen a better place for a get together. The server was attentive, took time to explain the menu, and make recommendations. Our meals were beautifully presented, and just as delicious to eat. The portions were ample and well worth the price. We definitely will return.
My wife and I had a fantastic time and meal at Cameo! Each food item was delicious and the service was wonderful! We look forward to going again soon.
The food is outstanding! Delicious! Our waitress was very good & attentive to us. We appreciated having the back corner booth which was very good for visiting.
Food was not good !
Food, drinks and service were excellent. Brioche bread pudding was mind blowing, would go back just for that. Kimchi popcorn chicken was nearly melt in your mouth, short rib and chicken schnitzel were also memorable.
My husband and I were looking for a night out (mostly to have someone else prepare our dinner) and we both had the thought of coming to cameo since we like the food and ambiance of the place. We were not disappointed!
Phenomenal experience! Hands down best brunch in Rochester. Live music for brunch was a nice touch. New brunch menu is really good.
Overall an exceptional experience. Our original table was located next to a large group birthday celebration which raised the noise level to the point that it was getting difficult to hear. Asked our server if we could move and he immediately accommodated us and moved us to a much quieter location. The food, as usual, was very good to excellent.
The food and service were very good. The menu has a lot of interesting items that appealed to me. I ordered the sweet potato coconut curry and loved it.
The ambiance was dreary, cement floors and exposed rafters made it seem like the place was under construction. There were not a lot of other diners when we were there but one group was very loud making it difficult to carry on a conversation.
Filet bruschetta and burrata were awesome! Mains were some of the best in town. Prices vary greatly so watch the menu. Atmosphere is open and comfortable, and service was great. Will definitely go back for more.
ALWAYS TERRIFIC! ALWAYS. Tonight’s excuse for me to “cook”, our son’s 23rd birthday.
Apps and drinks were superb. Dinner was good, but my dinner was ordered medium rare but was served medium. Easier was very helpful, attentive and nice. Great date night.
Appetizer chicken wings were over cooked, otherwise main course and drinks were great.
First time at Cameo. Three of us had different menu items and shared. Would order anything on the menu. Waitress was very professional and came to the table only when necessary. I’ll be back soon!
