Excellent menu and excellent food. The outdoor area is set up nicely, covered and with heaters.

This place has fallen off in the last few years. Old standards like fried calamari were horribly over cooked and after requesting an indoor table we were seated outside , on the sidewalk, in the cold.

It’s tough to see a quality NYC restaurant hit the skids, but it’s old and tired and time to close.

Service was just ok and the food was nothing special. It’s very sad I had awesome memories of this place.

I made a reservation thru OpenTable and chose the indoor seating option on the screen. When I checked in with the hostess, she said they were all filled up inside, so I had to dine outside in the relatively cold weather, which got colder as the evening went on, I was not happy. The seating on the sidewalk was less than six feet away from the next table which was on the road. I had the Pasta with Beans Soup which had little taste until cheese was added at the table. They had Grilled Salmon as a special of the day ($33), but I requested that they sauté it with butter and lemon. As I requested, they served it medium rare and it was good.

We were greeted by Frankie D for our first visit to Campagnola. He immediately made us feel like regulars and set us up for an extraordinary dining experience. From the wine and sampling of all the best dishes to dessert and coffee... food and service was GREAT!! Definitely will return.

You will never regret going to Campagnola! And you will be counting the days until you can go back! I had the veal in wine sauce that was insane- we ordered an extra entree o the mushroom raviolis to share - great idea! Also pregame the eggplant rollatini- order your salmon well done if you don’t like it too pink. The wine amazing- little pricey! Service superb!

Excellent food and great ambiance. We lost our waiter as the restaurant started getting busier, which brought down the rating overall experience.

Biggest issue was tables not distanced sufficiently. Crowded together much more then i have seen at other venues. Think they should focus on well being of guests, not just crowding us into a limited space.

I have been going to Campagnola for 30 years and it remains one of my favorite restaurants in NYC! Was Leary about outside dining but Renato, Frank and Patricio made the evening perfect as usual. The food was excellent and I was made to feel like family as usual. If you want great food and a feeling of belonging, go to Campagnola!!! Thanks guys!!!

I’ve NEVER had a bad meal. Never even an average meal. Best Italian on the UES! Hands down!

I ate outdoors during the pandemic. The seating seemed spread apart nicely and the service was not rushed. I started off with the bean and pasta soup, which was very mild in taste. After adding graded cheese to it, it had a more noticeable flavor. I had an appetizer item as my final course, it was the mixed seafood. It had small baked clams (3), calamari, and a sea scallop, all of which I enjoyed, the scampi, which was overcooked, I did not.

The team at Campagnola always make you feel welcome and special and the food is as good as ever! We had a wonderful meal and can’t wait to go back again.

Food tasted like Costco. FAKE ITALIAN FOOD. They should be embarassed to charge such high prices for Costco frozen vegetables. It was served with microwaved water

First real family dinner out during Covid

The kind of classic NYC Italian Restaurant you read about. We make sure to stop here every trip we make to NYC. The staff treats you like family and the food tastes homemade. No tourists here. Locals only, so far.

Had dinner there with a friend. We had the lamb chops and a small side of penne a la vodka. I would MARRY thos dang chops if I could!! Desert was The Napoleon (sp) cake! OMG!!! I could have just gone to heaven right there if The Deal was that would be my daily meal. Ammmaazing! Worth every penny.

Location stinks but while inside you’re in northern Italy. Service was A1, we shared a tricolor salad that arrived in two plates, then ordered double steak 🥩 that was cooked to perfection. The rest was fine very pleased with attentive, prompt service. Prices on the high side but that’s NYC where a minestrone can cost $ 15 bucks plus tax & tips comes to $ 20 bucks.

Our family went to dinner for a birthday. There were seven of us at a lovely round table. We started our meal with the pasta sampler. Three of them to share. And before that it was delicious bread and a sort of anti-pasta along the side. Each meal was finished by everyone. There was an eggplant dish a chicken dish, a couple of your dishes and a couple of different fish dishes. And for my granddaughter a bowl of pasta and meatballs, Which she kept exclaiming how delicious it was. The staff was not only courteous but helpful and so attentive and friendly. We had asked for a birthday dessert and what came out was totally amazing and big. We all had a great time tasting the variety of things, and again my granddaughter was delighted with things that she never even tasted before. My daughter had a lovely birthday dinner. We all left there smiling and filled with delicious food.I don’t live in New York but I go there to visit and will certainly come back to this restaurant

Dinner here on a Sunday night was great. There was a live piano player playing music and singing. The food was delicious! Came here to celebrate an anniversary and they brought us special dessert. I'd definitely go back.

When it is good it is outstanding and our evening was truly perfect. Food, service and atmosphere were all in sync. One of the best evenings ever at Campagnola.

Came for valentine’s dinner, staff was attentive and food was incredible. We ordered calamari, the scampi and the campagnola chicken and finished the meal with lemon sorbet.
