Carmella’s Plates & Pints is co-owned by , Carmella Salem and Michael Alberter. Our kitchen staff create upscale comfort cuisine.
Our dining room has a warm and cozy feel with a wood- beamed cathedral ceiling, open fireplace, taxidermy and stained glass windows that adorn the dining room. Our guests feel as though they are tucked away at some destination lodge that exists in the heart of the Historic Southside. We do have an intimate 60 seat dining room with a Unique Fireplace Table in the center that can be dined at. If you are looking to host a special event such as a Rehearsal Dinner, Bridal Shower, Engagement Party or Business Meal, look no further, Carmella's can Host all of your Special Occasions. Our expansive Whiskey Bar boasts over 700 Whiskies and Tequilas. Enjoy 14 Wines on Tap and 14 Craft beers on Tap.

Carmella’s Plates & Pints was an absolute hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, we loved the atmosphere. It has such a cozy, charming, cottage-inspired feel that makes it warm and inviting without being over the top. The food was outstanding. Everything was seasoned to perfection, the portions were generous, and you could tell a lot of care went into every dish. I ordered the meatloaf, and I could not stop talking about how flavorful and comforting it was. The Tuscan pasta was also incredible. Every bite was chef’s kiss! If you’re looking for a restaurant with delicious food, generous portions, and a cozy atmosphere, Carmella’s is definitely worth a visit. It’s such a wonderful find in the heart of the South Side, and we’ll absolutely be back!

This place is great. Really good food and drinks, relaxed atmosphere and unpretentious but the quality is extremely good.

Once again we had a great time on our Wednesday night date night. Can’t say enough about the staff . The pastry chef. Made a special. Tiramisu. For my wife since he had not finished the main one for the night.

Went for Mother's Day and all 5 of us were happy with the food and drinks. Vibe in there is 10/10. Will definitely be back!

We had an awesome time at Carmella's! The elevated tavern atmosphere was cozy and cool, the food was delicious, there were lots of gluten free options for one of our family members, and the bill was very reasonable. Great experience.

Staff was amazing and so attentive. Cocktails were delicious. Food was good overall, but the mushroom risotto was excellent. Would recommend!

Food was delicious. I had the bolognese and tried the mushroom risotto and buffalo meatloaf. The bartender, Tonya, made some excellent bourbon drinks. Will definitely be back.
