We absolutely loved and enjoyed our time at Carmine's. The food was excellent along with its presentation. The portions were more than plentiful. The staff were friendly, professional and welcomed us with a smile. Our servers were phenomenal in taking care of our party. We highly recommend Carmine's and can't wait to go back.
Thank you Jimmy for always making us feel welcome.
The meal and experience was wonderful!
Had a wonderful dinner on Thanks GIving. Had options for a traditional meal or their reqular menu. I chose the traditional meal and it was great. The rest of the family had menu items and all were fantastic. Our waiter gave us great options, told us when we were order too m uch and was a real pro.
A fantastic option for Thanksgiving! Our server was wonderful and the food was yummy.
My husband, 3 year old son and I wanted to enjoy a nice dinner on Thanksgiving while traveling. The restaurant had a nice buzz. I was comfortable having our 3 year old grumpy toddler with us. There service was ok, waiter was polite but forgetful. We asked for
more bread two times and never received it. Bottle of wine was promptly served, calamari a was a bit slimy, both pasta dishes were great. Ultimately it was an ok choice for a nice dinner.
Everything was fantastic! The one thing I think they could improve would be to leave slightly more room between tables. The 2 people who sat at the ends of our tables had to pull their chairs in every time a server or another patron had to squeeze by.
Service was fantastic. Able to conduct business. Great setting. Excellent location. Love the calamari!
Our server Lauren was great!!! Food and atmosphere is always good!
Went out for my Anniversary and was seated at an end table. I got bumped about five times during dinner. One of the bumps was really hard. Picatta was Blain.
Hands down....some of the best pasta I EVER ATE!!!
This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have had. From having to find a server to take our drink order after a very long wait, to the bug in a drink, the undercooked veal and tasteless linguine it was negative from start to finish. We were seated near the piano player who was very good but so loud we had to yell to have a conversation. I had been here before and loved it but definitely won’t go back or recommend it to anyone Management was SLOW to respond.
Beautiful restaurant, great food, festive atmosphere!
First time. We were a group 8. We were sat a round table which was PERFECT. Food an atmosphere was GREAT. we could all talk and hear each other. the wait staff was great but disappeared for long periods of time so water was not refreshed often enough as well as we ran out of butter and it took a long time to get someones attention for more - but minor points. It took a little long for our food come and we had appetizers. But over all it was a great experience and I would definitely go back. the music in the bar was great we danced!
I would recommend
Great food. Fun entertainment. Nice ambiance. We will definitely be back soon.
Only complaint I have this time is I ordered the mushrooms appetizer and felt short changed. I have had them many times before and the mushroom was always 4, and very large mushrooms. We got 3 and if they were a inch across, that’s really being generous. For $11, and the fact I have had them before it was very disappointing and not worth the money.
Food was good, but not great, and drink list was average at best. Was fine for my meeting purpose, but wasn't as special as I had hoped.
Buena comida, mucha espera para la mesa. Con reservación esperamos más de 45 mins
We were not seated for more than 30 minutes after our reservation time and then only after much complaining to the managers. They did a poor job of managing walk ins at the expense of those that had reservations.
We then had a bit of a wait after being seated before getting served. After that waiter was courteous and diligent in serving us.
Food was delicious as expected.
Interior of restaurant is nondescript. Seating is rather tight. The noise level was high. Volume of the piano player brought up the noise level which made it hard to converse across the table.
I much prefer their River North location than this one near O’Hare.
Over 1 hour wait even with a reservation.
Not enough servers for a busy restaurant.
Our steak was over cooked and I ate after everyone else. Not typical for rosebud Restaurants.
Great food! The only downside was the long wait, but the manager Mr. Phil was really nice and made sure to make it up to us. Will go back again !!!
Portions were big. Our server was very attentive despite how busy it was. Food was great. Love the piano singer really good songs. Will come back!
Birthday. We were put by the window. It was very cold. Service was slow and food was very salty
Manager was extremely rude. Bad communication about off menu item pricing. Shell shocked at the final bill. It was loud, hard to have a conversation without having to yell to be heard. We won’t be going back.
The meal was above average. The service was very good as well. The problem was the noise level. We could not talk at all. We will not come back.
Great food. Look forward to coming back soon.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. The staff was attentive and polite. The risotto creamy and perfect. Another favorite was the orhrcetti with sausage . and broccolini was simply to die for loved out waiter
The food is amazing and the service is top notch. Emily was attentive yet not intrusive, overall our favorite place for dinner as well as a quick lunch for soup and salad.
Out of the four main courses, two were way too salty. However, the other two entries were great, and so were the appetizers. Good value for your money overall, as long as they take it easy with the salt...
Best new restaurant!
Even valets are awesome
Thank you to John for his great service
Food is fantastic
Phil and Jimmy... thank you for always being so welcoming.
It’s a wonderful experience every time!!
We were there for a birthday celebration and have a very good time. Lasagna was fabulous. Service a bit overworked. They tried, but seems like there weren’t enough for a Friday night. Our drinks were not readily refreshed as would normally occur. Other than that, very good night.
It was a birthday get together for a party of 10. The restaurant was busy but the service and the wait time for everything was way too long. Even if the food Took as long as it did the bus boys and the wait staff were not on task to make sure the water/drinks etc got to the table in a timely fashion. Way too expensive for a lacklustre experience.
Food was so-so and expensive but not comparable to other Italian restaurants. If I pay top dollar, I expect perfection. Not a great value for the money. I would choose another place next time.
Service was wonderful - dinner was great
I thought piano / music singing were a bit loud when having a conversation.
I’d recommend take out or sitting in the bar area. The food was excellent our service however, was not. The server came over to drop menus and greet me as I waited for the rest of my party and then didn’t come back for almost 15 minutes. He did the same exact thing to the table next to us, so I feel like it’s just what he does.
The restaurant was busy for a midweek dinner, but not where it should have taken almost 10 minutes for our drinks. And when we did order dinner I asked for a cocktail fork for my daughter for her dinner and he never came with it so I eventually had to ask another server. He came when we were almost done and said “oh let me get that fork.”
Again, the food was excellent. Came out hot, pasta was cooked perfectly. I had the Baked Cavatelli, my mom has the 8 finger Cavatelli and my Grandmother the Chicken Marsala.
The birthday dessert was mini cannolis and perfect.
We’ve dined at the Carmine’s located in the city and had a good experience, unfortunately I don’t think we’ll revisit the Rosemont location. Despite a reservation, we waited 15 minutes for our table, waited several minutes before a waiter approached our table, tables were SO close together we could easily hear the conversations of those seated near us, waiters and bus staff consistently bumped into our table to get around, the noise level loud, and the food was nothing to rave about, certainly not worth returning for. The breadsticks in the basket were stale - that should have been the first clue that the meals would be mediocre. It is disappointing that restaurants cannot get the concept of what constitutes a nice evening out - it does not involve being crammed into a large room like a herd of animals then continually getting bumped into throughout the dinner service. I am disappointed, frustrated, and will not return or recommend this restaurant. There are a multitude of restaurants out there, I am sorry that we wasted money on this place.
Made a reservation and requested a cozy booth as it was our anniversary. We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time. They put us at a 12 inch wide table for 2 with a couch on one side and the next table was on our lap - we decided to eat at the bar. I said this is not a booth they said the wait for a booth would be very long. I said we will eat at the bar- went to the bar and within 10 minutes they said they had a booth. Served us at the booth- server was rude. It was a terrible experience
And they did not even acknowledge our anniversary
Our meal went sideways by one of the ordered entrees(porterhouse) arriving 15 minutes later than the other entrees at our table. Had someone communicated that the steak was “missed” and they are working on it, I certainly would have been understanding. Instead the manager brought out the steak, and did not apologize for the delay. I would have expected an apology, the offer for a dessert, some type of apologetic gesture. Instead, there was nothing, and the service was substandard.
I will not return......
