Relaxing, delicious food, great service and the best wine! The perfect little spot for a girls night!

This is a true gem slightly off the beaten path in Chestertown. Excellent selection of their own wine along with Spanish conservas and other tapas. Service is always on point and the atmosphere is quiet and informal. Seating inside is limited thanks to COVID but they have outside seating as well. Our favorite is the sardines and a charcuterie board - they are always excellent. If you've never had conservas before you owe it to yourself to try - Casa Carmen is the only place I know on the shore that features it so it is a welcome diversion from the endless varieties of chicken wings and fried cheese so prevalent on the shore.

Casa Carmen was fabulous! The wine is simply magnificent and the food was very reminiscent of a trip to Spain for tapas. We always get the sardines and a charcuterie board with a nice selection of cheeses and Iberico meats. It is well worth the trip and reservations are highly recommended.

casa carmen was a great experience and can't wait to go back!! even before arriving, i got a call from the manager (i am assuming) asking if we would like to be seated inside or out as it has been getting chiller. this thoughtful gesture meant a lot! then at the restaurant, erika & bridget were the best servers and so attentive. bridget was beyond helpful in helping decide our wine choices for tonight as well as explaining how casa carmen runs! will definitely be back soon!!
