Casa del Barco - Canal Walk
Outdoor Patio Tableお一人様$5.00先払い
複数の日付でご予約可能Our patio tables are some of the most coveted seats in town! Traditionally we have not guaranteed seating, but now through OpenTable Experiences, we are able to set aside a few of our best tables each night. The $5/pp fee reserves seating at one of these tables. There is a 20% service charge included, which allows us to pay a professional wage to our service teams. No additional gratuity is necessary. Reservation fee is non-refundable. If there is inclement weather your reservation fee is transferable to another available date.
The food is amazing. It’s kind of annoying to order and pay from your phone. I prefer regular menus and a more present waiter. Overall it was okay.
Beautiful restaurant with efficient self ordering. Servers and staffs super nice and helpful. Food delicious, fresh, and presented beautifully in timely fashion. Everything was lovely!
Over priced. Terrible food. There is no service yet still 20% automatic tip. Understand the issues of hard to get help etc but so many other places are doing this well
The server forgot to bring us chips and salsa twice. We pushed the button for service and he walked by the table several times before we finally stopped him. Miss the human interaction of table service. Food more than made up for service. The food was amazing! Wouldn’t go back to this location.
Food and service were great. I highly recommend. We will definitely be returning when we come back to town.
Food was great and ambiance is lively and fun. Our server, Amanda, was attentive and super helpful. What was annoying was the menu is ordered on your phone. We literally had to login, give and give my cc number… before you can order a margarita and chips and salsa. I spend so much time in the computer and phone that it’s nice to out it away for meals.. other than that and that they no longer sell the habanero mango hot sauce, it was great and I recommend.
ordering through the phone was kind of complicated at the beginning
We ordered a variety of food, all of which was fresh with nice spice. The salsa has a "kick" and I enjoyed it. The quesadilla was especially delicious!
The food was okay but we didn't like that we had to order our food through pur phones. Also, since we really didn't have a server, it seems wrong that the automatically charge a 20% service fee.
App is used to place orders so everyone has their face in a phone. Mandatory 20% gratuity that is added to bill seems weird when contact with server is sooo limited. Bring back paper menus and server interaction please.
The food was delicious, the drinks were strong, the service was friendly, and the vibes were on point. A great night out to celebrate a birthday!
Despite making a reservation for indoor seating in advance, we had to sit in the bar, which was so noisy that it was next to impossible to carry on any conversation. The food was good, definitely better than average for mexican food, but it was extremely salty.
I don’t mind using my phone to view a menu, but using it to order my drinks and my dinner takes away from the whole dining experience. If I’m going to order everything from my phone I might as well just stay home and order food. I am unlikely to return until the system changes to something more consumer friendly.
Great food and cocktails, great service, fast kitchen, and great view if on the patio.
We had the best time for our anniversary dinner at Casa Del Barco!
The new ordering app/we code system was not working, and the server couldn’t help us with it. Seemed like he was new and unsure of what he was doing. My group spent at least 20 minutes trying to work out the issue with the app. The food was underwhelming and overcooked and the drinks were extremely diluted and the alcohol quality was poor. The ambiance was nice, but the place is too expensive for what it is.
This was my first experience with the digital ordering. It was interesting and pretty easy to use, but not as personal for sure. We were so so with it.
Had a wonderful time, very much loved the ordering system
Mexican food, on the heavy side, great drinks in a fabulous location. Parking across the canal and they validate your parking ticket.
Very noisy, hard to talk inside, loud and echoey.
The food was delicious and the service was amazing. They seem to have reduced the menu since COVID, but the options are still good.
Very disappointed in the food for what it is priced at
Parking difficult, cute decor, loud music and some loud patrons, black beans tasted burnt, fajitas were great otherwise! Margaritas were good but pricey. FYI: Service charge added up front and QR code ordering.
Super cool place. Food was pretty good. The biggest issue is ordering from the scanner on the table. We ordered 5 dinners at the same time- from same phone. 3 came 15min after the first 2. Drinks took a long time so we didn’t order a second round.
Overall a cute place for a date night! Be careful about the check they already included tip and we tipped them again so we paid double tip. All ordering is online through the website and paying so it’s not a traditional restaurante experience but it was still nice.
I found the mobile ordering frustrating and staff was not particularly inclined to do anything other than explain how to use the phone. Service was very very slow and it was difficult to coordinate ordering for our group. I did enjoy the food, but not the experience
Mediocre Mexican food, loud colledge kids and something we ordered never came! We ran out of there because mosquitoes were having a field day on my back! Came back in hotel and 4 big bites in my back, some as bid as a walnut.
Excellent and attentive service and very tasty food and strong drinks. Definitely will recommend
Best corn EVER, but the rice on one of our dishes was inedible. We passed this on to our waitress.
Everything was fantastic! Happy hour specials are some of the best in RVA, margaritas and the food were both delicious. Service at our table and at the bar were both perfectly perfect. Will definitely be back!
Odd experience. If I wanted to use my phone to order food I would have stayed home and ordered in. Part of the dining out experience is interacting with the server. Food was average not amazing, bland and boring. Honestly had better spice and flavor from chipotle’s at literally 1/3 of the cost. Very disappointed.
The food was good, but the service was really slow. They are using a system where you order on your phone and then have to push a button at the table to get a server to come for anything you need like more water. This made the whole process extremely slow with us waiting a long time for the server to come. Food came out fairly quickly, but drinks took a long time. It was expensive and we felt the experience was not nearly as good because of the system in place. They are also charging an automatic 20 percent gratuity which they call a service fee. Probably will not go back unless they change back to pre-Covid ways.
Just ok… overpriced small tacos lacking flavor with dried out meat.
Will not be back.
It is very expensive for what you get. Being from the Southwest the food doesn't come close to how Mexican food should taste. It's not worth going back to
The barbacoa tacos are amazing, and the ordering system is very convenient. Our favorite restaurant!
Casa del Barco is a beautiful space. The food was good, but ordering and paying for our meal was cumbersome. While the service was good, we found ordering and paying totally on your phone took away from the overall experience.
Was a great experience for a rare night out for my wife and I! Would return again.
Our experience at Casa Del Barco was just alright. The staff wasn’t very friendly and didn’t seem that they wanted to really help when asking questions about the ordering process, which by the way was one of the most horrendous ways of ordering food I have ever seen. The level of service was just subpar. We normally have our go to Mexican food spots we frequent, but was looking to try something different to Mom’s visit to the city. The process of ordering drinks and food took longer than simply having a QR code (like every other restaurant does) or an actual tangible menu. When asked, some of your wait staff didn’t seem to be very knowledgeable about the menu, nor did they want to go check to see if a certain request could actually be done. All around very lackluster attitudes and a poor dining experience. We most likely will stick with what we know and where we know we will be taken care of.
A beautifully decorated space with delicious food!
We were 16 people - and everybody had a good time. I had the Carnitas Tacos - they were delicious.
