Cold and wet evening but staff literally moved gazebo and tables to make sure we were dry. Delicious food. Good service.
Absolutely perfect lunch and service
Entirely forgettable. The place lacks a soul in terms of food, service, ambience. This is like overpriced Bella Italia. I think Charlie Bighams meat lasagne might be tastier. I mean, they should know a lot better, the heritage of the restaurant is impeccable, one of the top Italian eateries in London. Soho House, you should really review them soon.
Great location but the cecconi experience is tricky in the current circumstances. Looking forward to coming back when things are back to some form of normal.
Highly recommend this restaurant. The pizza and calamari were amazing, booked to come next month.
Only heaters by the door so it’s very cold in the evening also you have to be out by 9 so as we only sat down at 7.45 we felt quite rushed and weren’t able to finish our bottle of wine.
It was SO cold - they need some heaters
Always such delicious food and relaxed atmosphere. Love it there.
Slightly overpriced. Didn't get the full experience since we sat outside due to Covid
Sat outside with a friend. We picked a good time as there was tonnes of space (probably 15+ tables) available yet the waiter was very rude, was constantly trying to rush us and get us out of the table.
Food was still nice and the coffee was okay - if a bit cold when it arrived. I had the Calamari and a Flat White.
We were there for about 1hr 10minutes in total so not excessively long as the booking was for 2 hours.
When we finally came to pay the card machine the waiter initially brought wasn’t Contactless enabled which caused him to huff and sigh as if it was my fault and was very dramatic with bringing the updated machine over and handing me the receipt.
This was the 2nd time I’d been here and the first time was great, I sat out the front and the service was 10/10. This time I was sat out the back so maybe ask to be at the front of the restaurant!
Not sure i’ll return here again, maybe I’ll give it another chance.
I've visited the Shoreditch Cecconi's many times now, the food never disappoints and the service is always good. Nice vibe there and great part of town. The outdoor bit they have is ideal as well but will be good to get indoors in May! All round one of my favourite restaurants and I get about.
The food was amazing, so taste! Great service, the bar tender couldn't make the non alcoholic beverage my friends ask for but then surprised us with another option complimentary which was a lovely touch and it was delicious. High recommend going for a relaxed dinner!
Fewer tables as positioned outside in the front and rear all under canopy. Same great service and food so book early!
I visited Ceccioni’s with my friend for a birthday lunch. The staff were welcoming and did let us sit under the one area covered by a heated lamp, which was much appreciated.
They were friendly and it was easy to get the attention of our waiter.
It’s not a gripe against the restaurant per say, but I would say the food is incredibly average for the premium price you pay. With the likes of Padella churning out gorgeous pasta for very affordable prices, you’d expect something special from a place associated with Soho House and costing £16 for a small bowl. But the ragu was pretty flavourless? I was really disappointed.
The Zucchini fries were ok, but even The Ivy seems to do these better. The roast potatoes were fine, but a little on the hard side, rather than golden and crispy.
Overall, I would not visit again, the prices = quality food, and the ambience is missed as (at the moment) you’re sitting outside on the road essentially.
It was truly disappointing. We had meatballs, calamari spaghetti lobster and veal Milanese. Meatballs were
Undercooked. The sauce in the spaghetti was too heavy and lack of taste. Overall the food is pricey for the quality. It is not even about the portion but the lack of proper taste.
We also got an orange juice which we were told it was freshly squeezed. Clearly it was not and to say that and then having to clarify it was a bottled orange juice is just a really poor thing to do.
Finally the service was really poor. Basic things around good approach to client and proper manners were lacking.
We will not visiting this again and clearly cannot recommend. The pictures are somewhat misleading too.
Very nice food and staff
was okay - average service and not as good as it used to be.
Wish there was some outdoor heating available.
The food was great but we felt very rushed at the end - bill was handed to us to clear table before as very busy but we wanted dessert and to finish our bottle of wine, which was kept in another room so we couldn’t even pour ourselves.
Fantastic lunch in the outside area. Great food, great drinks.
We were told we only had two hours for the table, but the service was very slow. We sat for at least 30 after the main and were only asked whether we’d like to order dessert 20 min before we had to return the table. The desserts came late and we were given the bill as a sign to leave. Not at all impressed.
Delicious black truffle pizza
Such a lovely brunch menu, really lovely staff
The food was pretty good bar the roasted potatoes that were far too salty, even for myself who uses a decent amount of salt in my cooking. The arancini was the standout. We ordered the starters apart from the calamari and meatballs. We were seated outside club Monaco with no other tables around so it was hard to feel part of the Cecconi’s dining experience. Little ambience outside. Service was very standard. It was not clear that as a 8pm booking, we would need to leave by 9pm - this is uncommon for London restaurants and everything felt really rushed. I expected more from this place but I’d be happy to try it at the Ned or come here again but only indoors.
Unfortunately after having my table moved half an hour earlier cecconis were still unable to provide me with a full meal. Painfully slow service meant that I kept on having to ask for drinks and to order. Then unfortunately service took so long I wasn’t able to have dinner as it took then 1h30 to serve me 2 courses
Staff were great, food was great! Couldn’t have asked for more
Very nice food on a not too busy day. Service was great, the one minor thing we minded was being checked on very often, every few minutes.
We unfortunately had the shady front side table where it was quite chilly but not unbearable. We were not aware until after we paid there was the back terrace drowning in sun :)
Genuinely absolutely gorgeous. Loved the food, loved the wine. Sat out on the street with my dad. Sun’s out. Happy days.
The overall experience was good but the plates were a bit small for the price
Amazing host Katerina she was lovely and helped us pick which is always nice - definitely coming back !
Lovely service, great food - always a bit overpriced as all SH ventures are. Sitting outside was fine and the staff kindly brought blankets.
Fab. Can’t fault anything. Felt safe in terms of covid and had excellent service. Merci
My food was cold and was
Lovely to be eating out in a restaurant in the sunshine!
Great pizza and fish. Profiteroles are tasty as well. Service was friendly. On a nice quiet street.
Very slow service- 30 mins for my coffee to arrive (we had to ask several times).
Waiter was friendly but didn’t know details about different items on the menu such as the breakfast. The waffles weren’t available for some reason. We realised after we had left that we had paid for zuccini fries which never arrived!
Overall the food was nice but we were disappointed by the service.
Food was amazing! Drinks were tasty! Will 100% go back. Only downfall was no heaters, hopefully won’t be an issue after 17th May! :)
The staff at Cecconis were excellent and very helpful and lovely. The cocktails and food were absolutely delicious. However, as we had to dine outside the heating was totally insufficient having some very small outdoor heaters mounted on the wall of the outside of the restaurant giving out virtually no heat at all. No blankets were offered either. I definitely won’t be going back until either the weather warms up or you can dine inside!
