Myself, hubby and 2 sons celebrated hubby’s birthday here...I wouldn’t know where to begin to describe the service...OMG!!! Our waitress was absolutely AMAZING. I think she might be a manager, idk...her recommendations were spot on...the beef was wow...the fried chicken which is always on point was no disappointment. She then recommended four separate desserts and we all didn’t know which to eat. We had the cutest snowman made from egg whites, chocolate moose with a raspberry coulis..., the infamous chocolate bar and creme brûlée...mmmm
No idea which was best...they were all way too good

Her attitude was just super friendly and we always had the fried chicken when we go there, which is quite often..but this time she said the kitchen was out...however, seeing our disappointment she went in search and found only 4 pieces which wouldn’t make 2 servings but still had the chef prepare it for us and it was on the house! I couldn’t believe it.
The dining situation in DC really sucks and restaurants are losing a lot of money so to have gotten that kind of service and treatment really warmed my heart.
We will definitely be making more visits here...

Perfect day, great food, great service, lovely outdoor table.

Unfortunately they were closed when we showed up. Probably bc of the pandemic but I was still able to make reservations through open table just no one let us know they had closed. I will say though I have eaten there many of times, the food is excellent, staff is great, and love the environment. 10/10 will be back after
all this covid ends. I just wish were were notified I was looking forward to eating there. :(

The turkey dinner for Thanksgiving was as great as ever. Thank you for keeping up my favorite restaurant in DC after so many years.

Early thanksgiving

Dined at Central for Thanksgiving - my first time not traveling to family for over 16 years - and it was a treat! The turkey dinner was fantastic. The turkey was moist, it was paired with mushroom stuffing and garlic mashed potatoes and grilled brocolini. The service is always outstanding. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This is our favorite restaurant. Isabelle is a brilliant manager. The staff is top notch as is the food. This has continued even through Covid. Thanks to you all!

It was a birthday dinner and was as great as I could’ve expected!

Sat on the patio for dinner. Food and service was good. The only thing missing was propane in the heaters. On oversight and they said they’ll stock up. I’m looking forward to going back during the winter months knowing it’s a safe place to dine outdoors.

As always, Central delivers. Not only is the service excellent but the food of course is outstanding. My husband and I go to Central at least once a week and we have never had a bad experience. Actually ever single experience has been wonderful.

The goat cheese salad, salmon, steak frite chicken schnitzel are our go to meals and we love it! The desserts are delicious too.

A must go restaurant. Isabelle and Boris will make you feel at home.

Our first restaurant meal since the pandemic began, and it truly seems like years. We chose outdoor seating and it was perfect. Tables spaced appropriately, all service people wearing gloves and masks - we felt safe and were able to enjoy a wonderful meal. The food at Central is as wonderful as always - so glad to be there on a beautiful day.

Central delivers consistent and delicious dinners every time. The presentation is fun and the flavors delight. We enjoyed the starter Cheese Puffs to the unique dessert, Lemon Egg-ceptional. The waiter Chris was pleasant and helpful even when it started to drizzle. It is one of my top 10 favorite restaurants in DC. High quality food, friendly service and enjoyable atmosphere.

Dining at Central Michel Richard is like dining at a French cafe or dining at the home of a friend. The atmosphere is casual and friendly. The wine choices are excellent and Isabelle is delighted to introduce guests to new French wines. The staff is efficient and service is great. It is one of my favorite "go-to" restaurants when I need a stress break.

The fried chicken is excellent. I’ve tried other meals, and they were good as well.

The service was super friendly and both our servers Isabelle and Boris (I hope I got their names correct) were very knowledgeable. The way they interacted with both us and the guests around us made the night even more special. The menu/food was simple and approachable yet done very well. I would recommend for anyone looking for wholesome food with great service!

Central never disappoints with its excellent service, consistently delicious food and genuine and professional staff. We choose to dine here over and over again for these reasons.

Such a refreshing brunch. Everything was amazing and felt very safe dining indoors.

Two of the main menu items were not available due to deliver problems - so that much we need to understand during the COVID disruption to restaurants and food services. But, we took a downward turn from there - the main course salad was not only dressed ... but "soaked" in green goddess dressing ... and the kale salad was more kale stems than kale leaves. Topped with salmon (farmed) that was nicely prepared. This is a good restaurant, and deserves support - but we should expect better. Chef Michel would have been disappointed.

Central was lovely, service was great. Construction on building next door made outside dining a bit difficult, but not a reflection on the restaurant.

Central did an excellent job providing a good meal in a safe environment. We were seated outside with plenty of space between tables. The waiters were friendly and solicitous but not overbearing. Though the menu is smaller than in the past, there were still plenty of options. Each member of the party ordered a different meal and we were all very satisfied. These are difficult times and Central is meeting the challenge.

The outdoor space is nice, but the service was spotty. For those prices, i expect a table cloth...

Have been thinking about the fried chicken for way too long! Was delicious as usual! Good service. Sat outside on a nice evening.

Back to it's old standard after the break and maybe better. Somehow the mashed potatoes seemed to have more butter than before - more than seems humanly possible in the best way. Missing an appetizer or two I used to enjoy, but 95% of what was there is back and on point.

I reserved an outdoor seating for 7pm on Saturday night at this fine establishment due to covid. When we arrived, it was a bit chilly, but the hostess/proprietor was very amenable and offered my wife and I a lovely table inside that was appropriately distanced from other diners.

The occasion was my wife's birthday, and we were treated to complimentary champagne to toast the evening!

The food was delectable, and the service was impeccable. To cap the night, we were treated to the most extravagant rendering of the napoleon desert I have ever seen!

I would highly recommend this fine establishment, and I'm sure to revisit.
