Chart House Restaurant - Savannah

My spouse and I ate here while on a brief trip to Savannah. The dinner was fast and tasty. I also enjoyed their faux cocktail options! Sitting by the river adds excellent views.

I wanted to love this place, but I was not impressed at all.
I had the twin lobster w/ chopped salad. The food was very salty. Our waiter seem to hate everyone or everything. I do not recommend spending over $200 for food that you can make better at home

Ate for our 20th anniversary

As always we enjoyed the Chart House. Their staff is very attentive and the food delicious. We arrived and were seated on time. The waitress noticed that we were having a business conversation and was attentive, yet not pushing to get our order. I will continue to go back time and time again, as long as I can!

We had a 4:30 reservation. My prime rib looked like it was left over from the day before - it was luke warm and dry ... my salad as well - it was wilted ... tasted good but bad curb appeal .... i should have sent it all back

Anniversary

It was great.

A couple of us girls wanted to get together for a night out. Jordan was our server and was amazing. Attentive, knowledgeable, helpful and funny. Food was great. Drinks were also very well done.

The food was amazing. I only saw my waiter twice the whole dinner.

Very nice romantic atmosphere. They accommodated my request for a window seat since it was our anniversary. I’d definitely go back!

Let me start with the hostess, she was extremely rude, we were on the verge of leaving when a wonderful person arrived and showed us why CH is famous for. Location is nice, the service is exceptional even when we were on the third floor and they have to get down to the first for drinks. The food was incredible, we put our kids at a table alone and they were treated like kings and queens by the waiters, very happy. I will certainly recommend Scallops & Shrimp, they were delicious and my Premium Rib was to die for...

We had reservations for 8:15 but had to wait until after 9 to get seated. Appetizers were ordered and received right away; however, wine was delivered after without a decanter to keep it chilled then had to ask for bread after waiting for dinner another 35 minutes without food. Waited another 15-20 minutes for our dinner. Our bread and wine were gone before dinner arrived around 10 pm. If we would have been local we would have left without food.

We enjoyed our New Year's Day evening meal! The peach-bourbon glazed scallops and shrimp were delicious! Very good service by Brandon. Only criticism is having to climb stairs (3 flights) which we were able to do but had not thought about before arriving. Can see it would be a deterrent for some. Lovely view of the river.

We arrived early and checked in. We were told we were waiting for a table to clear and then saw 5 parties come in and be seated before us. Every time we asked we were “next” on the list. The waiter was great but we were close to several other parties once were were seated. We saw at least one couple get up and leave due to the close proximity to other diners. I would not recommend this restaurant during the pandemic or otherwise.

We had Bri as our waitress and she was amazing. Our steak came out over cooked but she was quick to get it fixed and the manager gave us a complimentary desert to make up for it. The food was so delicious, the atmosphere was relaxed, and overall a great experience.

We spend a great new years eve. Our waiter Jordan made great recommendations and was very amicable and knowledgeable. I would come back. Also the restaurant was clean and staff smiles all the time thanks.

The whole service and food was great. The only thing we didn’t get was bread. We saw other tables with it.

Tender meat, tastefully prepared. We enjoyed a quiet New Year's Eve dinner there with white tablecloths and clean environment. Our server was friendly and accommodating.

Food and service was amazing! Everyone enjoyed the calamari appetizer and their entrees.

My reservation was changed prior to our arrival without notice. When we checked in at the hostess stand, she was rude. We waited at the bar for about 25 minutes before being seated. While waiting, no one came over to clear the dishes from the last folks who were seated there for almost 15 minutes. Once we were called to be seated, we headed to a table on the 3rd floor (no elevator). There was no heat in the room, so space heaters and extension cords lined the walls of the room.

When we ordered, the item I was looking forward to eating wasn’t available, and the waitress didn’t let me know until after I ordered it. My second choice option the crunchy coconut shrimp was overcooked and horribly butterflied. It came on a huge bed of dry rice noodles which wasn’t mentioned in the dish description. The sticky rice was the best part of the meal.

We didn’t get bread until after we’d finished the appetizer of fried green tomatoes, which had so much sauce on them it covered the flavor of the dish. My husband’s foot was barely warm when it arrived.

Overall this was one of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time. I definitely will not be back to this or any other Chart House in the future.

For the price, the service was sub par. Table was right in front of door, which was constantly opening. There were options to position our seating elsewhere. Server was pleasant but not extremely knowledgeable ... required promoting for more water, plates for appetizer. The food was very good good and high quality.

As a party of two, were seated at a table for six right next to the noisy kitchen. The temperature of the restaurant was uncomfortably warm. The bar is located on the first floor of a three story restaurant creating a long delay for cocktails. The calamari and fried green tomatoes were good, however I wish we had been made aware of the very large portions for only two people. The dynamite mahi was delicious. The filet was cooked well, but unseasoned and the grill marks were too charred creating a rather bitter flavor.

This restaurant is ok but nothing special about the menu. We went on a slow night and the staff was unattractive.

While our server was on point, the service was severely lacking! I believe they were running on a skeleton crew and not prepared for the amount of reservations they had. We waited 20 min to place a drink order, then another 15 to place a food order! We would not choose this Chart House again, management needs to sharpen their staffing skills.

Would definitely come back again, our waiter was great! Food was good and drinks were good!

Sofia was great and the food was delicious. We all enjoyed very much.

Anniversary Dinner. This was our first visit and everything was Superb!! We will definitely be back! Our waiter was Amazing and super fast! I had panned chicken and he had the herb crusted salmon and both were Divine!! The flavors were just Awesome! Lobster Bisque is heavenly and my salad was Perfect! Can’t wait to go back!!

We had a delicious Christmas dinner at the Chart House in Savannah. Our server was very nice. He thoroughly explained items if needed. The only problems we had was that he was held at the table next to us for long periods of time which in return we experienced long wait times to order our meals or receive a bread basket. It took 30 minutes to receive our appetizer, which wouldn’t have been an issue if there was communication that the kitchen was running slow or whatever the circumstances were.

We visited this place on Christmas Day. They sat us in front of the door and in the middle of thorough traffic.?when asked to be moved the manager gave us a choice of a table across from the one we had, which was so cold every time someone opened the door, or a very small table on the other side which we took and was still just as cold. Our server was not very good as she left our drinks empty and kept forgetting things. I expected more fir this place as our steaks were no less $45 each. As we were waiting for our meals to arrive we watched as others that were bringing food to other tables did not seem to know what table to take the food to as we were asked no less 5 times if something was ours, even as we were paying our bill. Very disappointed!

Two crappy things - floor wasn't cleaned from previous customers at our table - crayons and food under table - gross.

IT WAS FREEZING!!!!!!!!!!
3rd floor - no heat - 1st and 2nd floor had heat it seemed. Awful eating a meal with your coat on for $200.

Christmas Day dinner no less - not cool at all......

On Christmas Day the restaurant was freezing. We had to wear our coats the entire time. We ordered hot tea and waited forever for it to arrive. The soup, which was the only hot item, came before the tea. The rolls arrived warm, but as soon as they cooled, they became hard as rocks. Obviously, they had been reheated. The prime rib and mashed potatoes were lukewarm. A great disappointment for the price we paid.

Just meh on Christmas- I expected more- but was lackluster at best
