Terrible service. I won’t be back

Outstanding ambience outdoors followed up with wonderful service and delicious food.
Hope to return soon for another yummy meal.

As always, a meal at the Chase is delicious. The service is over the top and everything was perfect.

Chase has an excellent outdoor space with heat for nighttime dining. We are eating outdoors at night because due to severe business restrictions in place, we have to. The old standby dishes are still there and still quite good. Flatbread was excellent. The highlight was dessert: pecan cheesecake and the cannoli. Don't leave without ordering at least one of these.

Our outdoor table did not have a heater and we were cold. The food was good and great value though and our server was very nice. My favourite thing was the music they played and the Christmas decor. So festive! I would definitely return but would request a warmer table. Thank you Chase!

i called 3 times to make sure they had heaters for my elderly mom for Thanksgiving. They confirmed each time, then when we arrived, the hostess told me 3 times that they did not have anyone available to turn it on, then she finally admitted that they don't turn them on during the day. The turkey and gravy were very mediocre (which was expected because it is an Italian restaurant so I did not expect great food, and the patio was nice purely because they have a prime location and it was a beautuiful day. The waitress was wonderful, but the hostess was uncertain of the protocol and then was very rude to me.

As always, great food and great service. It's nice to see that they adapted well to the state's Covid-19 restrictions.

Very great dining experience. Food was amazing. Only thing was they seemed busy so they were slow on service. We didn’t get bread till we asked. And they just seemed very scattered. But the food was great !

Chase restaurant is a bright star along State Street. Always great service; always great food; and, always at a great price.

Got seated 25 minutes after our reservation. Host staff was rude upon checking in on status as we waited. Then finally were seated inside. The waiter was sitting down with other customers - and we sat there for 10 minutes plus before he approached us. Then screwed up our order multiple times with either him or someone else bringing us someone else's order. Just mass confusion. Food was OK but overpriced. Ambience looked great outside but not good inside as part of the area was being used as a staging area for table settings, etc. Terrible experience.

The food was outstanding. Had salmon - cooked perfectly. Our friend is vegan and she was very happy with the choices on the menu. Drinks were excellent and they have a nice wine list. Seating was outside - comfortable - and the weather cooperated. Would definitely come back.

Enjoyed a rare night out with the family. The restaurant has built out their outdoor seating for Covid. The food was excellent and we had great service. We will definitely be back!

Family and friends get together

We were excited about this place but we had the worst experience. Our food took FOREVER to be brought out that we finally just had to cancel two of our orders. Literally waited an hour just for our appetizers! The little food that was brought out after an hour wait was good but the fact that we had to wait so long and didn’t even get any updates from our waiter as to why it was taking so long just made the experience even worse. They should have at least left us know what was going on. So disappointed! And they weren’t even short staffed either. Just “busy” is what they said. But hello, it was a Saturday. Of course it’s be busy. They should have been prepared. If they had better customer service then we would have been more understanding.

Food took forever, our late lunch turned into early dinner

My friends and I had a wonderful experience at Chase. The food was wonderful and the cocktails were delicious. I highly recommend the mint raspberry mojito. The ambiance was great as well. We dined on the patio on the quaint and charming street in front of the restaurant. The street is pedestrian traffic only. Such a cute and quaint lunch spot.

Our dining experience was a disappointment. The server forgot about our wine selection and was generally distracted to say the least. Our food order got mixed up with wrong dishes served. Spaghetti and fettuccine were overlooked and lacked proper taste. On a positive note, calamari steak was good.

Whenever my husband and I visit Santa Barbara, Chase is one of our "must go to" places for dinner. We were quite impressed with the extension of tables onto State St. and felt comfortable that all the protocols were being followed appropriately - something I always look for in restaurants. The food was outstanding as usual, as were he drinks and dessert. Will definitely go back again when we are in town.

We decided on this place on our first trip to Santa Barbara, we love Italian food and this appear to be one of the best ones in town. Boy it sure was good and the service was amazing, the steam clams were some of the best I’ve ever had in my life! For dinner I ordered the surf and turf and she ordered the chicken Marcella both were good however I just didn’t like the shrimp piccata. It’s a deep fried shrimp ended up being rather salty, but the lemon sauce was wonderful. I definitely go back again, and this time I’ll try to lasagna or the ravioli

Beautiful outside dinning, and tradiional Italian food. Service was a bit slow, but under the circumstances (covid), they Chase has done a great job moving outdoors.

Really appreciate the friendly service on the outside in the middle of this pandemic. We had a nice quiet lunch with plenty of social distancing. Food was good and atmosphere was relaxed for a Sunday afternoon. Restrooms need to be kept in order - only women's room was working.

We very much enjoyed the ambiance...had a table off the street under an umbrella that had little white lights on it and the music being played was terrific. However, the food was disappointing. Neither of us liked the lasagna and the chicken parmesan was extremely dry with no crispness. The Fettuccini Alfredo was incredibly good, and we decided that we will return to try the Milanese dishes with the Fettuccini Alfredo, hoping to have a better food experience. Our waiter had friends at another table, so our service was somewhat lacking.

Chase was great! Our food was delicious and our server Tyler (Tiger) was even better!!! We plan to go back just for Tiger!!! He made us feel warm, welcomed and like family! They even had two vegan entrees that was suitable for my husband and I.

Amazing ambience, we running a little late but they were very accommodating. The food was wonderful and the bussers were a joy and very friendly. I would definitely come back to this restaurant next time I’m in town.

Best Chicken Parm I've had in a long time! Outdoor seating was great and the service was better then average. Will definitely be back when we visit SB again!

Chase Restaurant & Bar, located on the main downtown street of Santa Barbara, CA. is charming, has an extensive wine list, and signature cocktails.
In addition, the serving staff is personable and friendly, and chefs prepare tasty food at reasonable prices. The food menu offers not only Italian cuisine, but simple selections and steak dishes.

We were seated by hostess and waited for 45 minutes with no service. We just got up and left.

Wonderful outdoor dining experience… Was a little worried would not find quality food in Santa Barbara during the pandemic… But the restaurant was amazing and seated outside was fantastically comfortable!! I can’t wait to Raton!

The food is awful. Tired retreads of Italian favorites. Over salted, not fresh. Trying to give them some Covid grace, but when I walked through restaurant to go to restroom it was a complete mess. Dirty and disorganized. Restroom was nasty with garbage overflowing. Server was sweet, but when food is this bad she can hardly make up for it.

The food was very good but the service was poor. The table next to us even got up and left because they waited so long for their food. Sometimes there's nothing you can do, however just the lack of transparency, communication and overall service was difficult to ignore. We didn't even see our server for at least 45 minutes and didn't get our food until over an hour of being there and never got an appetizer that we ordered. Even though the food was tasty not sure if I'll be going back.

We didn’t get silverware until after our meal arrived and we had to ask.
We asked for seats on the shade and only one seat was in the shade. We had to adjust the umbrella.
Street noise was loud as well.
