Che Bar and Shisha Lounge

This was our first time to dine at Che and it wont br our last. The lounge area outside was nice and comfy a little low but nice. The outside heaters and blankets was a nice touch. The menu was your basic Lebanese (chicken shish, lamb kofta and burgers all served with rice, chips and a big salad) but was well tasty. The cocktails are the virgin version and you just picked your own choice of spirits to put in there. We tried shisha for the first time and loved it. There was a nice young chap who helped us. The staff are friendly and I would highly recommend this place. I do think because you go to lounge and chat thr music should be a little lower apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Lovely friendly staff, food and atmosphere great. Had a party of six, everyone who went said what a lovely place it was.

Lovely service from both bar and restaurant. Our table was booked for 9.00pm. The food was delicious (came quite quickly and there was plenty!) and although I didn’t try the ‘shish-a’ myself, it smelt lovely and I was told it was good. The restaurant area is very chilled out (and yes, the tables are low but still OK to enjoy a meal at we thought) and although it was quite busy when we were there, it felt nice and cosy rather than too full. The room next door had a dj (the first Friday each month apparently) who was playing some great tunes - reggae, ragga, soul and a little garage. It was not as full as it could have been but the crowd seemed friendly and all out to have a good time. We certainly enjoyed ourselves and we all threw a few shapes on the dance-floor before we left just after 1.00am. I’d definitely go again 🙂

On arrival I noticed that the few tables for seating inside are too low for dining, so had no alternative but to eat outside to the Shisa area, which is pleasantly decorated..The Italian waitress was very welcoming and friendly, but was over stretched as she was having to attend to guests outside as well as guests arriving at the bar inside..The food was not great, needs much more improvement with flavours is an understatement!! Drinks are over priced for this used to be pub /wanna be bar in the not so popular part of Croydon!! Overall Not worth it!!
