   We are huge fans and always enjoy our experience out West . It was our first experience downtown and using GPS was a nightmare . It took us to the middle ot the Freeway . The service was good but many options on the menu were unavailable . Our server was delightful but we didn’t really like having our appetizer and main course show up at the same time . We didn’t enjoy the downtown experience 😢

   A wonderful meal as usual. I had the Eggs Chesapeake and was not disappointed. I highly recommend the cheese grits made with Benton’s bacon. Delicious! My wife had the grilled shrimp spring salad and was very pleased. She also had a Bloody Mary prepared by the bartender on duty who was also our waiter and he did a fantastic job in both mixology and service. We eat at Chesapeake’s frequently and are rarely disappointed.

    Chesapeake’s Downtown has the best seafood in Knoxville especially the crab cakes! Our server, Autumn is very attentive & friendly.It’s been our favorite restaurant for years! Also, we’ve had several Christmas Day dinners there with our family! Highly recommend!

    We started off with the calamari probably was the only thing that was actually worth the money for our entrée. We got surf and turf a second order of surf and turf and the third party got crabcakes for my order of surf and turf my side dish with french fries for the second order of surf and turf for the side dish with broccoli for the crabcakes the side dish with broccoli. The waitress came back and said we don’t have any french fries so I substituted a house salad, we got our food they asked us to cut into our steaks. I’m never sending food back so I just said their fine well that was a mistake. I ordered mine medium well mine came out medium rare My daughter ordered her steak, medium hers came out Raw The crabcakes were OK. The lobster for the seafood portion of our surf and turf was terrible overly chewy we ate it anyway we were all still hungry so we decided that we would try a pound of king crab between us all so we waited another 45 minutes for our king crab, they literally brought us one leg I’m not one to complain so we ask for the bill. The bill came to $294 for three people. I gave the girl a $50 tip!! Will I ever go back? Absolutely not.

    Loved our cocktails - and especially the price which was reasonable. Fresh fish was prepared perfectly. My only complaint is that the halibut got cold before I could finish it. Please serve the meals on heated plates! It makes a big difference

    We always enjoy the food... salad with Cheddar Cheese dressing is the best. Then fried shrimp or fried oysters! One of our guests had the red snapper last evening, and he LOVED it. But I would have to say the the highlight of our visit this time was the server, Deshawn (sp?). He was delightful and provided all maybe the best service that we've ever had at Chesapeake's.     Food was very cold and had to be sent back. Husband's food was hot but he said it literally tasted old and like dirt. It was gross. Neither of us enjoyed our meals for my birthday and when we got a hot version of my meal the manager approached me in a funny role-play voice and made a weird comment. He also looked like something was wrong. I thought they did free birthday dessert but I guess not. Our reservation said it was for my birthday and nobody even said happy birthday. Between the birthday and my cold food I was definitely hoping for a free dessert, haha. We ordered one anyways to go. It was huge but it was sent home ice cold. I'm not sure if that's normal? We were hoping to eat it at home to celebrate alone and it had to be totally heated up. That was an unexpected bummer. Also, wasn't great. It was not a good value for our money and the taste was simply not there. We'll never even eat the leftovers. It's sad when your husband thinks the bread was the best part of the meal! I don't envision ever coming back or referring others to this place. If we want fresh seafood we'll go to the Shrimp Dock. It's not fancy but they do it right!

    I have been eating at this restaurant for about 25 years and have been here many times. The atmosphere is nice and the service is very good. The food was just ok. The shrimp in my shrimp cocktail were infused with a strange flavor, as though they had been poached with lavender or jasmine. I had never ordered this appetizer, and certainly will never again. My salad was very good, although it had been forgotten and I had to ask for it, after my entrée had been served. As far as the food goes, my French fries were excellent; some of the best that I have ever had. My fried shrimp were moderately good. It seemed like the portion size had changed-I counted 8 shrimp and, perhaps I am wrong, but I feel like they usually serve 10. My wife had a similar impression. Food was pretty good, but certainly not great. The service started out very well, although our server seemed less attentive as the meal progressed. My wife had to ask for drink refills twice and ketchup twice. I have had better meals here and better service. I am sure that the manager would have fixed the problems we had with our meal, but we did not report then because we still were able to enjoy the meal and we didn’t really have time to stay any later than we already had. We’ll be back. This was probably just an off night.

    It was a very good place to eat. Would have given a five star on food but my one pound lobster was under steamed not cooked fully but ate it anyway had it with a fillet and I didn’t want to get meal redone. Our first time eating there visiting Knoxville. When I do return will be by to try again Thanks

    For fresh seafood in Knoxville this is the place. The food is consistent and always well prepared. The service here has declined significantly with empty water glasses and used plates on the table at almost every visit lately. This is not unusual in Knoxville currently but with the reputation and prices at Chesapeake's a higher standard is expected for service.

    If you are expecting a high quality romantic seafood restaurant, this isn’t it. The staff was good but the seafood was poor quality and a lot if it was deep fried, covered in cheese or batter. It was expensive for what it is. It would be a good restaurant to go to with a family. They had a wide range of food.
