Can’t wait to go back after this covid-19 pandemic.

We recently celebrated a milestone birthday for my wife. It wasn’t my first dining experience at Chicago Oyster House, but it had been awhile. I can keep this brief because I am over the top pleased with this visit.

The service by everyone involved was fantastic! Our server was attentive, and friendly. Our water glasses never stayed empty for more than a minute.

There were four of us and we ordered a variety of appetizers and main entree’s. All expertly prepared and delicious.

Everything was better than I remembered. Thank you Chicago Oyster House for a memorable dining experience.

The food and drinks were delicious! We are definitely returning there!

We went to dinner for sweetest day and everything was great. Food was amazing. Our server answered every question we had, made recommendations and was very responsive. The ambiance was great as we. Even with COVID going on everything was clean, mask were being worn, temperature checks were done at the door & everything was spaced out. We’ll definitely be going back here.

The food is always phenomenal

Chicago Oyster House exceeded expectations. The restaurant was clean. The staff was friendly and prompt. The drinks were fantastic. The food was excellent. Highly recommend!

Came here for my birthday dinner and the sushi was fantastic. Bone in filet was ok,grilled oysters and bread super good,raw oysters fresh...Due to the in going pandemic they take your temp and require sanitizer upon entering...service was terrific. Note we were the only table there but it was right when they opened as we had a toddler with us. Will go back for a girls night for martinis and sushi! Thanks!

Really great food, service and atmosphere. The oysters are all sooooo good and fresh. They ribeye & lobster combo was divine. Our server, Becky aka Becky with the good hair was very attentive and friendly. They take all the right precautions for Covid19 so everyone can enjoy their dining experience safely.

The staff was very nice and they most definitely had nice things to say to my gf about my reservation for her birthday. I thought that was very thoughtful by our server. I love the laid back ambiance and the food was great too, my gf is heavy on seafood and she loved it. Well let's say you pay for what you get in terms of the price...😆

Half priced oysters delicious along with the sushi. The grill calamari i could have done without though. It had the after taste of burned grill

Vacation from Denver

We chose Chicago Oyster House for my son's 20th birthday. The dinner was fabulous and the staff was wonderful too. They even brought him a special birthday dessert. I wish we lived closer!!!

Love the Oyster House. One of my favorite restaurants in the South Loop. Excellent oysters and great promotions.

We had oysters, sea bass and the seafood pasta. All were good. Would definitely recommend.

Incredible food and service!

Excellent dining experience and wonderful food! A little surprised at discovering an automatic 20-percent gratuity added on to a bill for two people, because honestly we would have absolutely paid 20-percent based on the service. But having it added without any choice or warning just seems...shady.

Always a good time, the grilled oysters and the lamb chops are amazing. The sushi is also great. Cant ever go wrong here.

As of Jan 1, a 20% mandatory gratuity is added to all checks (no matter the party size). This was clearly listed at the maitre D counter, so we weren't caught off guard, but from the start we understood why. Without this mandatory 20%, their waitstaff would likely not get paid. Terrible, negligent, service. The food was really good (The seafood miso soup was amazing, oyster shooter was pretty good, the little filet on the app menu was also super well cooked), but the service really messed with the experience.

the ambiance - is confusing. It's like it's trying to be a high end seafood steakhouse, with the high prices, and menu choices, but the decor is more strip mall sushi joint.

If you can overlook the service, and the decor/ambiance, then definitely go for the food.

Great food, fabulous service!

We really enjoy coming here. Food and service is great. We were really disappointed when we saw a sign on the door, at the host stand, at the table and on the menu that there is a 20% “service fee”. What is that? What is included in this? Does this all go to the servers? Very poor taste of ownership to do this. We will really think hard about going back as this is one of our favorite places to eat when in the city. I really hope ownership changes there stance on this and I am sure the servers don’t like this either.

Chicago Oyster House has a great ambiance. Beautiful setup. A great menu and the food I had was delicious! I gave the service four out of five stars due to the fact that I placed an order for a drink, it wasn’t brought to me until after the waitress came a second time and asked again if my date and I wanted to order anything to drink. This may seem petty but I believe that this is worth a mention considering the fact that Gratuity is a mandatory 20%, no matter the size of the party.

Overall great value, amazing food good Vibes

My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary. It was a great night at the Chicago Oyster House, the foods are great. Definitely will come again.

The food was fantastic! Better than any of the other big name seafood houses in Chicago!

The overall experience was quite pleasant. I attended for Valentine’s Day. In knowing that, I along with others, felt we were suddenly asked to leave because the restaurant had other reservations. I mean, there wasn’t too much time to sit, savor the meal, and enjoy a brief after - dinner conversation.

I had the seafood pasta with wine sauce. Although my plate size was small, the pasta itself was tasty.

The fried oysters were a hit!!

So disappointing. We ordered about 5 items from apps to entrees and only 1 was worth it. Staff was pushy to order.

I loved the coziness of the restaurant and the seafood was excellent. We picked the seafood boil which I thought was absolutely delicious. The prayers were perfect too.
