   Made reservations for my bestfriends birthday dinner! I was so pleased with everything! The server was AMAZING! She went above and beyond, which we greatly appreciated. She was so sweet and energetic. To our surprise there was a live band, and they sang a beautiful happy birthday song dedicated to the birthday girl. We were a party of 6 and let me just say, there were zero complaints on the food and drinks (so yummy). The portions are large and we all had food to go! Thank you Chira's and your staff for a wonderful experience. We will be back!

   Your host told me you guys were full and offered us an awful seat out outside of his podium. We had reservations. My boyfriend asked if we could sit at the bar and they begrudgingly obliged. But! We sat there for 1.5 hours and there were PLENTY of open tables that were left vacant the entire time. He was rude and he flat out lied. He ruined the whole thing for me.

   Food was fresh and delicious. Service was quick and friendly. I always forget Chira's is in the Reed Opera house because it is tucked in the back. The ambiance was cozy, the seats were comfortable, and the food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning.

   Been in Oregon for about 10 months. This was the best food and service experience. Special kudos to our server, Erica. My wife loved the prime rib. I had the chicken tortellini. Both fabulous with large portions. Creme Brulee was best we ever had.

    Menu prices were raised for the day. Tables were too close together. Our server was top notch. Understood the gluten issues.

    Went for Valentine's Day and they were serving from a special menu, food choices were consequently limited. Soup was spectacular as were our two entrees. Wait staff was attentive, helpful, and prompt...even with the holiday crowd. Only disappointment was the Margarita, it had a medicinal taste. We will go again.

    Last Sat night we chose Chiras as a Thank You gift for two couples who helped us with a home project. We arrived for our 5 pm reservation and the restaurant was about half full. We ordered promptly but our food didn't arrive until 6:35! One hour and 35 minutes! We checked repeatedly with our kind waitress who said it would be provided soon. About 6 a band set up in the dining room thus making it impossible for our table of six to converse. Our entrees were very good and our waitress said the restaurant would provide free desserts for us because of the very long wait. After finishing our entrees, the desserts were provided 30 minutes later. We were given no reason why the service was so slow. Altogether the experience was like a bad dream - such delayed service and music so loud we couldn't hear each other!

    This was my wife's and my second visit to Chira's. The last time was before the pandemic. Glad to see they made it through the tough times. I had the daily special, which was a BBQ brisket, and my wife had prime rib. Both were delicious and we had plenty to enjoy again for lunch the day after.

    Atmosphere - 4 ( We had reservations at 5 on a Saturday night and got there by 4:45. We were immediately seated. The time we were there, it was slow. Very nice atmosphere for a date night or special night out) Service - 4 (Our waitress was kind and tentative) Chef Salad - 3 (we expected real bacon bits, but they were not) $17 Prime Rib - 4 $29 (Came with Salad, Bread, Veggies, and a lean cut of meat with no fat, but lacked flavor). Adult Beverages- 4.5 $20 There average rating is 3.9, but the biggest drop was my wife being so disappointed in the fake bacon bits. So take that In account. The only thing that would have been nice for my meal would have been asked what I wanted on my baked potato. One of the great things that stuck in my mind was eating my salad slowly, our waitress checked numerous times if it was good or do I need more dressing. That was was great!

    New years Eve was a great experience. The Lamb was cooked perfectly and the halibut parmesan is always a favorite. Service was fabulous.

    first time going to this Chiras, in which I heard great things and was excited, but was severely disappointed by the service. my boyfriend and I had waited 30+ minutes after ordering our first drink (that we never received) also never received our complimentary bread. when we tried inquiring about ordering food, our drinks, or the bread, we were snapped at by the rude waitstaff that she wasn't ready, and the bread and our drinks "will be out when its out". after that snippy comment we then walked out, at that point it had been over 40 minutes with no drinks, or food, and just terrible service.

    Upon arrival we were greeted very warmly by the hostess. She took our drink order and returned a short time later to serve us. She served us in a manner rarely seen or experienced these days. We have always enjoyed our dining experience at Chiras.

    Not our normal experience at Chira which made it even more disappointing. Food was cold from soup to dinner. We had a party of 5 and everyone had the same comment about their dinner. Our bread pudding was hard and burnt.

    Hands down the best steak in Salem. Possibly the best steak in the state of Oregon! I'm a steak connoisseur, and have traveled the entire West Coast. These guys are amazing and everything they do! Also, everything is handmade

    Absolutely the worst experience I have had in several years. Showed up at 6:20pm with a party of four and the place only had five other full tables. It took 2:45 hours to get food and the steaks were horrible, burnt to the point of not being edible $285.00 prior to any tip and no manager no discount no nothing but “yeah I don’t know why it’s taking so long”. Stay away!!

    The food and ambience are excellent! However, service was extremely slow. It was not at all busy but we waited at least 30 minutes before wait staff came by. Ordered a drink and our dinner, they brought the drink and some bread, then another half hour before the salads showed up. Will probably give it another try in the future.
