Claim Jumper - Northridge
Everything was excellent!! Food was great and steaks were perfectly cooked!! Juan was an AMAZING server! On top of everything, helpful, friendly. professional!! Great dining experience!!!
It wasnt crowded yet our waitress was horrible. We only saw her twice and then had 2 hunt her down like 3 times.. we asked for to go containers and once she finally got them she didnt even bother to bring the check.. so we sat there another 20mins and had to have a different waitress find her... the food wasnt even really worth the money..
Leo, our waiter, was terrific. There were two of us in our party, and we shared two appetizers and each had a small soup. We didn't feel rushed to leave and we had an enjoyable dinner.
Service was extremely slow. We even went to the bar to get glasses of water. The food was not as good as usual. Vegetables were greasey. Tri tip was grisley and difficult to chew. Oh no...we are runnning out of good restaurants in Northridge.
We have gone to Sunday Buffet Brunch since it started @ Claim Jumper Northridge and it has maintained a high standard of enjoyment. This time was no different. The food was good. Our server, Katy, was friendly, competent and professional. The General Manager, Paul, runs a smooth operation.
Had a reservation at 12:15 pm and got seated at 12:45 pm not as busy. Then asked the same ladies that checked us in why they seated two Thee parties that just walked in and everyone started to play to blame game on each other. Very unprofessional, management needs to step their game up.The server was nice but only came three times total. We had one drink each and the water the whole sit down.
It was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. Our server was never at our table, everything took forever, and they didn’t seem to know that we made a reservation. We arrived 10 minutes early for our 6 o clock reservation and weren’t seated until 6:10 after asking them multiple times to seat us. Definitely our worst experience at this restaurant, ever.
Not a busy Sunday afternoon, at all. We were seated and our waiter brought menus. Some time later he asked about drinks. We waited for 10 minutes before they arrived. He returned for our orders in a reasonable time. Busy chatting at the order station near us tho. We did want more coffee and never once during our entire meal did did he ask us if we wanted refills, which we wanted, since it was so cold. Others had complained about the temperature too. Our meal arrived and our son's mac n cheese was cold, as was my mother's. We've been coming to this location for years and are rethinking our choice.
Came in cold didn't talabout buffetk
Claim Jumper got bought out! Cinnamon sugar chips from salad bar only on Sundays now, no granola mix for salad bar, not part of Landrys anymore. They will accept if you have a Birthday reward, but they will not give points. If your part of Landry, they will give you 10% off the bill
Never right and hard to get corrected
We were placed at a table way in the back of the restaurant where we were sometimes forgotten. Drink orders were taken and appetizer orders which was fine. After a long stretch of time server returned and took our dinner order. Dinner took awhile before arriving. Once dinner arrived, my spouse realized that his order for grilled onions on his steak were not there nor the asparagus he ordered. We reminded our server but it didn't arrive until end of meal. So we ended up taking those two items home with us. It was my husband's birthday dinner so was disappointed that all couldn't have gone perfect for his special day. We usually come here all the time for special dinners but may pick another restaurant in the future to celebrate at. Sorry for a not so great review.
Ordered Prime Rib and Pizza
The Pizza was not even cooked terrible rubbish
The Prime Rib was Sooo tough I couldn’t cut it with their knife
Macaroni cheese was watery goop
Won’t ever go to this place again
The wait for our food was long. We had a party of 11 that arrive at 12:45 (reservation 12:30). I think it was at least an hour before we got our food. The restaurant did not appear crowded, so I didn't know why it took so long.
Sunday Buffet Brunch was enjoyable, as usual. The food selection and variety is good, with the food being tasty and appropriately cold or hot. The service from Katy was competent and professional, as well as her being friendly,.
I would recommend as long as they did not get our waiter. He was really bad. We asked for a straw when lwe ordered the drinks. He delivered drinks no straw. It literally took him over 10 minutes to come back. He left and then another 10 minutes go by and he comes back for our order. A runner brought our food and he finally checked on about 10 minutes later. He kept walking past our table constantly and never looked over. I needed more sour cream and it must have been 25 minutes later he stopped by. W finished our
Meal and once again we sat forever with dirty dishes nd no sign of him. When he finally arrived we asked for boxes. I also asked for the sweet dipping sauce not the sriracha that comes with the shrimp. I got home and he gave me the sriracha. The service was horrible and we are were stressed over the lack of proper service. This waiter was young and very inexperienced. He needs to be trained on how to be more efficient in servicing his customers. Also the restaurant wasnt very busy. Thank you
Terrible. Hadn’t been to CJ in years. What a terrible difference! Reservations for 5:30pm on a Sunday. Maybe 10 people already seated. Our table for 9 not ready. Hostess’s left and didn’t seem to care. I went into dining room to check things out. Our table was in fact ready. The problem was they were short staffed and didn’t say anything. We were taken to our table at 5:45pm! Unacceptable! Our server, though very nice, must have been new and had to cover many tables. As an example, we ordered 8 drinks all non alcoholic. 3 ice teas, 2 waters, 2 soft drinks and 1 tropical ice tea. IT TOOK 15 MINUTES for our server to return with the drinks! Downhill from there and not going to write anymore except to say that CJ has lost all 9 of us for the future.
Thanksgiving dinner. 1. They were out of turkey. 2. We had to beg the server to have our steak cooked medium well/well done, since the menu advertised medium rare. 3. We didn’t get mashed potatoes as promised on the menu but a baked potato since they were out. 4. The restaurant was very loud. 5. Service was slow to start. We waited at least 20 minutes to even give our drink order. 6. The utensils on the table were dirty and we needed to request a clean set. So....
Unfortunate experience. Service was substandard. Quality of food and beverages also substandard. Went for Thanksgiving dinner and had reservation. Told upon ordering that they ran out of Turkey. Then after speaking to manager they suddenly had 4 or 5 turkey dinners left. Manager offered to discount bill. Bill showed up no discount. Paid it and left good tip. After server processes my credit card, the manager shows up and says he forgot to apply discount. No he didn’t. I didn’t argue or ask him to credit my card back. Tried to make the best of our family’s Thanksgiving dinner. Will not return to Claim Jumper.
Ran out of Turkey on Thanksgiving! Mashed potatoes cold, service was slow, probably not watiers fault.
Our service was totally unacceptable. The server was rushed, impatient, and blatantly lied about the availability of bread, dessert, and a french fry option for the kids meals. The vegatarian baked potato option really needs to be improved also.
The food was good, and ambiance was ok....but the horrible service we received will make us never go back. We were rushed, kind of ignored while our waitress laughed and made conversation with the booths around us and then brought them their food before ours when we were there before them about 15/20 min! I had to call her over a number of times for things she kept forgetting to get us and then when we finally received our food (in parts) it was over an hour later and about 4 of the 7 orders were wrong! I am never one to complain, but she made it obvious on the way she treated our table compared to the ones around us.
I made reservation for Thanksgiving. I made reservation for 5:30. They closed 6:30-7 pm. I was worried about them running out of food. I call few days before and they said no that they had more than enough food. We arrived on time but not seated till 5:50. I tried to order a pumpkin martini- they said they sold out. I told them they said they had enough food- the waiter said yes we have enough food. They went to get drinks instead of us being allowed to order at that time. So 6:10 we ordered. I asked for my gravy on the side. A few minutes later, the server came back and informed us they ran out of turkey. That was all my boyfriend wanted. We complained to the manager and she said after I explained everything- They stopped serving so to see if they had enough. She promised us there would probably be enough. A few minutes later they came with one turkey and one turkey and ham plate as we ordered. But they had gravy all over mine. We told them but when they took back the plate they took the turkey plate back (my boyfriends). So when they came back explained their mistake. So they took back my plate and my boyfriend put the gravy on his food. The amount of turkey was very small. My food finally came. They put the gravy on the side but gave me no vegetables. The manager said we could up grade dessert to the pumpkin cheese cake. My boyfriend did but I stayed with the regular pumpkin pie. The pies came and my pie was half frozen. Would go there again.
Made a reservation still waited over a half hour and then they ran out of turkey, ham and tri-tip leaving only fish and prime rib ($45) left on their Thanksgiving menu.
Worst food ever. We had 3 servers and our orders still came out incorrect. Turkey was cold, rubbery and pink. Salads were wilted and warm. Took 3 x to finally get 1 beer that was ordered. Bread never was brought had to ask multiple times. The pumpkin pie was frozen and had ice crystals on top. Had to ask for whip cream . I will say for the price it was not acceptable service and food was the worst ever.?
We had Thanksgiving here. Turkey, gravy, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes were delicious! Their cranberry relish was perfect. Except for the vegetables; they were quickly pan fried and still raw. If the squash were Roasted or grilled that would have made the meal great.
Sunday buffet was great - not crowded, plenty of choices, did not feel hurried - good value and kid friendly -
Salad bar is overpriced and under stocked. Not much to write home about.
Really aggravating to have a reservation, wait to be seated, and then be ignored while two other tables of newly seated pairs are attended to ahead of us. Those other tables were served bread, we were not, and our check was left without having had the opportunity to be offered dessert. I’m not in a hurry to go back.
Excellent, thank you. Service, food and atmosphere was wonderful.
My wife & I went for the Veterans Day meal. Quite noisy and we waited a long time for our food. When I tried to get my points being a Landry’s club member, I didn’t have my card, she told me that their computer was down so there was no way for me to get my points. I was used to the service we received at the Thousand Oaks and Henderson stores. This was unlike either of those. We drove a long way just to have a meal again at Claim Jumper. Thousand Oaks closed a few years ago. It was disappointing.
I think this is a great place for Happy Hour- but not so much for dinner. Our server was great- the food was not. My husband had the ribs and they were served almost cold- tho the server said it was a hot plate. They were dry and flaked like Tuna. I would have sent them back-but my husband isn't that guy. I ordered a martini and it was very good. I had one of their chicken dishes and it was just fine. We didn't stay for dessert.
Sunday Buffet Brunch was excellent, as usual. The food selection was plentiful and enjoyable. The service from the General Manager, Paul, and our server, Katy, was friendly, competent and professional.
Food was generally good, dessert was a bit too sweet.
It was late weekday night and hardly anyone else was in the restaurant - relatively quiet.
Good experience - will be back.
The food was excellent! Very large portions only complaints is the time we had to wait for it. Also I had a reservation but still had to wait to be seated for over 30 mins other than that I’d recommend this place to others.
Bad service not due to waiter but because he was overflow from the bar area. It was a very crowded night. Good food.
So sloooooooow. Kitchen horrible and not busy
Carrot cake and Salmon were good.
Service was horrible.....
Our waitress seemed not interested I. Seeing if we wanted anything else or even how our food was... the calamari app was squishy and gross. Never again will we be going back.
Sunday Champagne Buffet Brunch was very enjoyable as usual. The food variety and taste was great. The service from Celina, with support from Katy & Jen was friendly, competent and professional. The overall restaurant environment, under Paul the General Manager & Roxy, the assistant GM, is very relaxing and provides and great environment.
