Best clam chowder soup !!
Blackened Salmon was great !
I reserved a spot for 8:15 pm for 2 people..and was seated 10 mins after my reservation time.. although the wait was only 15 mins. so what's the point of reservation online?..food was good but overpriced
Valentine’s Day dinner
I've been to Claim Jumper quite a number of times, and for different occaisions. Almost always has been excellent, and when it wasn't they fixed it there or next trip. The one thing I would mention is the birthday cake. It needs to be larger. I would recommend a small version of the mother lode. No joke. People would remember that and return. And once you make your first million on that all I'm asking is 10% for giving you the idea.
Great experience as always
And great service
The greeter and seating person were courteous and professional. The server and the food was excellent. I feel that the atmosphere was appropriate as well as the booth that we had.
Great time for thanksgiving dinner. A little bit of a wit because half the staff could t make it in due to snow but we got taken care of.
2:45 reservation, not seated until after 3:15 because they were seating walk ins ,why have a reservation.
Thanksgiving. I believe the restaurant was overwhelmed and did not expect the amount of customers. It took about an hour to have our order taken. My wife ordered Salmon Oscar. The crab was rubber and the Salmon was way overcooked. She did not eat it and the manager took it off the ticket. My meal was the thanksgiving special. It was good but not excellent by any means. We were very disappointed it we really believe the restaurant was I overwhelmed. Just can’t justify a better recommendation.
The service was terrible the Prime rib was dry and over cooked. They are under staffed, it took 55 min to get our meal. We will NEVER go back. For 275.00 dollars I expect a little more....
Husbands birthday dinner, everything was fine except the food. I’m not picky but this time, my food was really salty and my daughters spaghetti had no flavor at all, my toddler’s chicken tenders were really dry and my husbands wraps were flavorless till he got to the end lol all the sauce was there. :/ little disappointed this time around
It was nice for the restaurant to offer free meal for my veteran friend on Monday. I ordered a California Citrus salad for myself and for the price they charged me of $10.99 for that salad the portion was very small, it is mostly a hand full of lettuce, very few cranberry, apple and pecan. I will not order that salad again. Very poor for the value.
A fun day to celebrate a birthday with 3 generations of family. Worth every penny!
Not as good as I remember. We ordered the zucchini ap and that was great and came out really fast and hot. We then ordered the ribs and it felt like that took forever and then all of our good was cold and the ribs were Really dry.
This Claim Jumper is becoming one of my favorites. Everytime I visit here, it's just more relaxing than some of the other CJs. Never rushed, always friendly, and not always packed to the gill - it just makes for a better dining experience. Old favorites like the Jumbalaya are still good as ever.
I have always love Claim Jumper and eat there from time to time. Took some clients over for Dinner. I had a Rib Eye and the rest had the Chicken pot pie. No one got close to finishing their chicken pot pie, was not very good. The steak I ate was cooked medium rare per my request. But the quality of the steak was not there.
Service was terrible. The food took forever to get to our table and it wasn’t even busy. The drinks also took a while to get to our table and so did the to go boxes for our leftovers. I also told the hostess that it was my boyfriends birthday and NO ONE sang him happy birthday or did anything. I also mentioned it online when I made the table reservations.
3 orders, steak sandwich, rib eye w/ mushrooms, fish and chips, ( all delicious ) as well as the appetizers / we ordered the Brussel sprouts & cowboy bacon. A nice warm round loaf of bread was served with whipped butter and was very good. we ordered drinks from the special menu ( all terrible ) my peachy daiquiri tasted like a mint lime aid ( wasn't really a bad drink so I kept it ) then ordered a regular daiquiri and it was Nasty. A friend ordered " the girls night out " and it also sucked. other friend ordered some kind of choc, martini and she couldn't drink it ( where's the chocolate ). At almost 10 bucks a pop for drinks you'd think they could made something decent. The food and service was great but, we like to have a good drink at dinner on our weekends out so guess we'll pass on Claim jumper. ohhh forgot to say I ordered half a rack of ribs to go and got home and found them to be very dry, so let my dog have those. I thought they were famous for the ribs so I ordered them to try later, Hope this helps you in deciding. if you don't drink then it would be great. ( pass on the ribs ) order the rib eye BEST IN THE A.V. for sure that's the truth... sign me out as the rib eye lover.
Matt was excellent and gave us the perfect amount of attention!
Great place to be and eat. Friendly staff excellent service.
Enjoyed our Father's Day experience at Claim jumper. The restaurant was busy so service was a little slower than usual but food was great, server very friendly and happy, and atmosphere was nice
The only reason why I gave the overall rating 4 stars is because I thought there was going to be a brunch buffet for Father's Day so I made reservations to ensure our dining experience would go smoothly. We didn't see any buffet and the server let us know it was only for select locations. That was a bummer. Not sure if the email specified certain locations but if it was in there, it wasn't noticeable. Besides that, the food and service was excellent.
Everyone served us and attended us promptly. I felt the waitress/server could have smiled more. She was nice and all but too serious I feel. Staff from Chick-Fil-A have better attitudes towards their customers. It creates a much more positive and welcoming experience. Perhaps our waitress was stressed but I can’t recall her smiling while talking at all. It’s all about energy!!
The service was horrible, the waiters were arguing with each other. They forgot to bring out one of the guest beer. In addition one of the guest ordered a farmhouse burger, the waiter come out a hour and a half later and says they are out of burgers. It was just a horrible experience. It was also my husband's birthday dinner!
Service was poor food was not as good as in the past. I was disappointed you ran out of Veggie burgers and my son’s beer. Server was busy nice however I have had much better service in the past! Won’t go back anytime soon.
The service was excellent, but the issue is the manager. They overbooked the restaurant and then told us they wouldn't have room for us in the dinning room. He blamed the internet and everyone else except himself. I found him rude. They told us we could sit on a couch and eat on our laps. We told them that wasn't acceptable, so the put our party of six on a small table in the bar. I had to ask for the manager a second time and he came over. He said, we were the last table he would talk too. Eventually they gave us a table in the dinning room. The waitress was very good and so was the food.
I gave 2 stars because our waitress was really sweet and as attentive as she could be on such a busy night. Otherwise I was not impressed. They purposely overbooked because it was graduation night and they obviously wanted to profit off of that as much as possible. I had to wait 45 minutes even though I had a reservation. They bumped my reservation for a party of 200. When they brought my food they didn't bring it with the side I requested, no big deal, they were busy so I just asked them to correct it. They then brought me back my now cold burger with no side at all and told me the one I requested wasn't available as they had run out then walked away. I wasn't given anymore options and wasn't given time to ask. When my waitress returned, I asked what other options there were and ordered one that she gave me. It never came. I requested she write off my salad as having been my side instead of applying the up charge and she did do that for me. The burger itself was mediocre at best. Not only was it cold, but it wasn't made as described. They advertise it as having cheddar cheese, but it had American cheese on it. Had I known that, I could have requested it be left off. I know that's a small annoyance but it just compounded on the already bad experience. To finish out night, we had been sat out on the patio, again, to accommodate a party of 200, and we noticed cockroaches running around on the wall and in the plants behind us. Yes it's that time of year, and yes we were outside, but there are ways to prevent that and it just made everything far less appetizing than it already was. I definitely was less than impressed and don't see myself going back. I really feel like I threw away nearly $90.00.
They have changed ownership and are trying to cut costs according to staff. Even though they were booked for reservations they didn't have enough staff, which is the norm since the ownership change. The food was ok, but nothing spectacular. The only bright spot of the dinner was our waiter was amazing.
I understand it was busy but the food was cold my chicken was dry,and I mean everyone’s food was cold, service was good our server kept our drinks and bread full otherwise it would have been all bad.
Had to wait two hours to get a table seated manager was very rude and unprofessional it was my daughter senior graduation we were there with family and friends she cried because she was so disappointed and this was been her special day
Nice, service good pleasant young gal, serving, except, it was a lil dark wife noticed table sticky, wine glass also dirty, I’m a give me whiskey in a dirty glass, my wife is not,
We made reservations & when we arrived we were shown to our table. Our waitress was terrific. Everyone enjoyed their food but my Shrimp Jambalaya was a little too spicy so I took it home hoping that the next day the spices would be just right. It was the same so I can't handle that dish 😞
I would definitely recommend this location however they don't know how reservations work so we still had to wait 30 minutes before being seated and all the walk-ins got seated before us.
Waiter was non existant. Food was served cold. Could not even find someone to complain. Normally I love this restaurant but the Palmdale branch is lacking go to Yard house you will have a better value.
Good experience, good food, good service can’t complain. 1000% more enjoyable when you came do a call ahead with the open table app and not have to wait!
Wonderful Mother's day dinner with my sons. Everything was good!
I was really displeased that even with a reservation we had to wait an additional 30 minutes to be seated. And while I have been to this location multiple times it’s seems that due to the arrival of fairly larger parties the quality of food was degraded.
The Good: Our waitress was awesome, she was very friendly and energetic. The restaurant ambiance and atmosphere was good.
The Bad: The food tasted terrible, surprisingly. My jambalaya pasta's chicken tasted like it was reheated in a microwave, and the flavor of the dish was very underwhelming. My companion's "widow maker" burger was not edible. The meat was under cooked inside, and overcooked outside. The bun was dry and fell apart. There was too much liquid on the bottom bun, which was more like a wet sponge as it was real soggy.
Maybe CJ has too many items on their menu? They should learn that quality > quantity.
Probably would not recommend. Although service and food were ok, the front desk staff *forgot* about our reservation and had to be reminded. We were seated about 45 minutes AFTER our reservation time which I have never experienced before.
