Sunday lunchtime, very quiet but food was delicious and well balanced and you could see the ingredience was fresh with vibrant colour.

Such delicious food! Very friendly staff. We had a lovely time.

Had a fabulous evening with great food, wine and service. Nice relaxed atmosphere with attentive waiters and a reasonable cost for such great fish.

BEAUTIFUL!!! I went to cockle and clam with my friend for her birthday and we opted for the bottomless brunch. The food was outstanding, so tasty and lots of different dishes. The service was excellent, very friendly and genuine. We’ll definitely be back!

Our first time at this restaurant and we were really impressed. Firstly we were made to feel very welcome. The interior has been done very well. Really nice design and the open kitchen / bar gives it a more modern feel than many of the restaurants in this area. Food was very nice. We went for the small plates to share. All beautifully presented and very tasty. It really is a good find and we will be back

We were only (4) customers in. General air of grubbiness about the place, e.g. the ridge that runs along behind the tables doesn't appear to have seen a duster for some time (grit and dust).
Food ok, but nothing special. Prices too high for this quality.
Service just about right, but as the only occupied table you would expect that.
Can't actually say it was poor, but nothing there that would entice us to return.

Couldn’t have been better. Felt very welcome as soon as we walked in. Great staff, great chef. The food was of the highest quality. Would highly recommend.

A very disappointing evening the food was never hot and the quantities were extremely small for the price charged the wines did not encourages drinking second glass as they were poor quality But a good price

The fish with a covering of crab and cheese still enjoyed it skin on top so one had to take the skin off as it was not crisp but the fish its self was well cooked

Excellent food from a simple menu. Service was friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. Ambience simple and contemporary. Highly recommendable.

We walked out as the venue was not fully booked but waited an obscene amount of time for a starter of 2 oysters and cockle pop corn.

This was our first trip to the Cockle and Clam and was thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely be going again.

Slow service but to be expected given its a new opening. Value poor - bread was I think £3.50 per portion which came as three thin slices of rather dry sourdough! Two of our party had souffle starters which were flat, tasteless with no rise. The table next to us seemed to experience similar problems as they walked out half way through the meal.

Food far too salty, too many flavours on one plate. Expensive for what it was. Prefer the ivy for the same price. Coffee was luke warm and biscotti disgusting to look at and to eat.

We have eaten here about 3 times. It’s definitely our new favourite place to eat locally. The dishes are cooked to perfection . It’s quite pricey but worth every penny and such a great atmosphere. The staff are very attentive but not annoyingly so. Highly recommend to foodies .

Creative flavors and textures. Modern, eclectic cooking and great atmosphere. Better than average service and attention to detail.
We will be back.
