Coin & Candor
We stayed at The Four Seasons for the week end and even though there was a "black cloud" from the COVID-19 over our heads, The Four Seasons and Cork and Candor made our week end so memorable. Zach was our waiter and he was so warm and attentive. A real pleasure. Thank you Four Seasons and we truly hope you do not have to close down in these somber times.
The best thing about going to Coin and Candor for a business lunch was that the vallet automobile service was expedient and crisp. If he wait service at the restaurant was as good as the valet service it would be a huge improvement. Our waitress was "Out to lunch".
I realize working people are not the target market for the Four Seasons but given the lack of choices and the increase of Corporate real estate, the Four Seasons would be wise to step it up.
Sunday funday with friends! We truly enjoyed the endless mimosas’ that were so amazing! Loved the eggs Benedict ! This will be our Sunday gathering ....
Great place for breakfast. Interesting menu with delightful items.
The half chicken, skirt steak and octopus tacos were all tasty and interesting.
We were so happy with our dinner and plan to come back again soon.
We've been to Coin & Candor multiple times. This was by far the best. The food was amazing: appetizers (mustard butter on pretzel bread was incredible), entrees (red snapper and salmon cooked to perfection), and dessert. The service was impeccable including a visit from the pastry chef who treated us to two chocolate desserts that were both creative and delicious. Couldn't have asked for more. Even bumped into a few friends who were their for a birthday dinner:-). Kudos to the entire staff. We'll definitely be back.
Great location, cool vibe, decent price. Food was great. Would go back again in a minute.
Food and service were excellent. Everything you would expect from Four Seasons.
Really good food, good service, atmosphere better outside, quieter outside but still loud.
Every time we come back to Coin & Candor we realize that this is our favorite restaurant !!
many vacancies and easy to make reservation. food is very fresh and good.
Experience was great and our servers were most helpful
Great food, ambience, service as usual highly recommend.
Lovely setting inside the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village. An extended service for weekend brunch. The food is very tasty and the setting, outside seating o relooking the waterfall feature, was lovely.
This is essentially a hotel coffee shop, despite its beautiful decor. It’s where the guests come down for breakfast. I brought 7 friends for Galentines brunch. It didn’t feel special at all despite being in the Four Seasons. Service was inattentive and uneven. Some meals came out quickly while others (exact same orders) came much later. The food was good but nothing special. Not recommended unless you’re looking for an average meal with high prices.
Went for V Day which is always not a good deal. Food was amazing. Service was impecable. The room was very noisy with lots of hard surfaces, had a busy bar business in the center and was packed. Apps were great...scallop ceviche and grilled octopus. Entrees were well prepared but very small. A lobster tail deshelled from maybe a 6 oz tail. A mini. The duck breast was innovative and delicious. It was a sliced piece perhaps a 1/3 breast. Desserts were excellent. For $85 pp , it scored high marks for quality preparation and low marks for quantity, which was subpar. Thats why we dont usually go out on V Day., a license to gouge. A prior visit had normal portions. This is still a very fine restaurant with fair prices during normal days.
Horrible and probably never going back. What a waste of Valentines Day. When when I booked the reservation on OpenTable it did not indicate that it was a price fixed menu. The day of Valentines, the four seasons called me to get a credit card which I gave them. Then they told me it was a price fixed menu with entrees of duck, lobster tail or pasta. I asked if we could order steaks and they said no. They told me that I had one hour to decide if I wanted to cancel the reservation otherwise they were going to charge me for the price of $85 per person. I could not get reservations anywhere else on such short notice so we went. The food was a disappointment with tiny portions and not tasty.
We made reservations at Coin and Candor to celebrate my birthday. We weren’t staying at the hotel, and we heard great things about it. It definitely didn’t look, feel or taste like a generic hotel restaurant. Because of our experience and the delicious food, we will now be “regulars”!
First, We were greeted warmly by the host, as she was seating us, she asked which one of us we were celebrating! That was so sweet!
The decor was gorgeous and every detail wasn’t overlooked. We ordered a few apps and we were offered a complimentary loaf of hot freshly baked sourdough. That was a special surprise! I had a mouth watering NewYorkStrip with a side baked sweet potato. Another friend ordered the Salmon and the birthday girl ordered a different steak. Everything was so delicious, we all tried one another’s. My daughter was with us and she enjoyed the Mac and Cheese,The portion for the kids food was large enough for an adult and she said it was “yummy”!
Our Server, Jesus, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and made suggestions on our wine selections. He was very courteous and professional, yet not stuffy. We all felt like family! We will definitely be back, sooner than the next birthday. Btw, the chocolate layer birthday cake was so delicious, if you enjoy ganache fudge frosting, you definitely need to save room for it!!
Very good, friendly service but less than overwhelmed by the food. The chicken dinner was very good and the highlight of the meal. The Mushrooms and Cauliflower starters were both so so. Have eaten there twice and nothing compelling enough to have me go back a 3rd time
Great as always!
Great!!! Awesome food!!
This is a vibrant trendy spot to enjoy a farm to table meal, served and prepared with love. We were treated like royalty by staff and loved the Som and his great knowledge of wine. Will definitely be back. The bread is to die for.
I loved our experience here! My only complaint was that when we were seated outside trying to enjoy the view and ambiance, there was a family sitting next to us watching loud videos on their cell phones. None of the wait staff or management said anything asking them to turn down the volume. We felt like it kind of took away from our experience because at such an upscale hotel people should be able to enjoy the ambiance without inconsiderate patrons playing videos for others to be subject to.
Love love love Coin & Candor! Went with some friends tonight. It was their first time. They all enjoyed it so much. Best service friendly staff. The food is amazing....great place to hang out and socialize. So glad I brought them here.....and we didn’t stop there we walked down to The Prosperous Penny for drinks that’s also in the hotel! Can’t go wrong with a night out with friends at the FS🌟
Normally food is 5 stars And I would’ve given 5 stars based on care and attentiveness of our amazing server and the manager. Watch out for fish bones is my advice. Food was cooked perfectly but the bone I got surprised with now makes me more cautious of their delicious fish. Just eat cautiously and slowly for best enjoyment of the meal
Absolutely love the gluten-free pancakes. Came for my birthday with friends and then by myself for breakfast. Service was impeccable on both occasions and sitting outside with a view of the waterfall was the perfect start to my day.
Modern and romantic indoor and outdoor seating options in the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel. Entrees were terrific and nice wine list. Highly recommend the Jidori Chicken
The food was excellent. The preparation was excellent and the food was high quality and fresh. Our service was very good but a little rushed. No one seemed to stay at our table for very long, always in a hurry. Overall I would say our dinner experience was a 5 star.
I made a reservation in advance, but when I arrived said the only tables left were outside. I wish they had indicated that on Open Table so I could have eaten elsewhere (somewhere that would have reserved a table for me INSIDE). It is freezing outside at this time of year, and I never would have chosen a place that would seat me outside. They should not accept reservations without telling people they don’t have seats inside. I hired a babysitter for a date night with my husband. Huge disappointment.
I'm glad I read someone else's review 1st that said they seated outside in the cold. They tried that with me , but I said no and then they tried to seat us right in front of the door to outside , were we would feel the cold air everytime it was opened. I didn't want to be a pain but I want to enjoy my meal without freezing. We dined during DineLA Week which we were very happy they participated in. My favorite was the Homemade Cavatelli ,Grilled Swordfish and Apple Tart, but was very surprised the waiter didn't ask if we wanted to order coffee with it. The other items on the DineLA menu were larger portions but half the flavor. Over all it was a so-so experience, but would try them again to see which way it tilts.
Service was solid.
Food was beautiful but lacked flavor.
Restaurant acoustics made it seem overly loud and made it quite difficult to hear one another
The food was good but not great, ditto on the service. My main complaint was that we were encouraged to take the heated patio on a chilly winter night. Yes, we were offered blankets, but if your patron needs 2 blankets to make it through dinner - I ask, it that really the experience you want to offer? We probably won't be back..
Sat us (a table of 9 including kids) directly in the sun which was in our eyes and incredibly hot. Took over an hour for the food to come. Forgot some of our order. Didn’t bring food out when it was ready as we requested because of the kids. Truly awful especially for a Four Seasons.
Coin & Candor is very good. Good service, great location, premises, dining area. Portions were small so I did reduce the value score... but otherwise great.
Outstanding service and attention to detail! Love this place to celebrate with the family!
Great New Year’s Eve!
The dining area can be made a little more cozy with warm
Lights and comfier seating
Too much gap in between the tables
Too bright and cold for evening dining
