Comptoir Libanais Liverpool Street
Ordered the most, paid the most and didn’t leave full. The place was rather cold as well but they gave us some free baklava which was nice!
It was below expectations, food was dry and tasteless, tables were so close to each other you couldn’t walk past.
It was closed. How is it possible that Open Table allows me to book a table in restaurant that is not open.
Very disappointing and I’d question using open table again. I had a water journey into London
Restaurant closed at reservation time!:-(
Three of my friends had not been before and they really enjoyed the Comptoir experience -the food was delicious and perfect for sharing and the staff were attentive and kind- making a birthday cocktail for my friend and a candle in some baklava. They will all be going back.
The restaurant itself has a poor layout and it was tough with the table that we were placed at to get out if we needed to have to maneuver past multiple tables. The service was slow but good and the waiter was really lovely. When it comes to the reason that you go to the restaurant through the food, this was nice. Fresh and cooked well. The Lamb and prune main was beautiful and the starter was nice also. We would have stayed for dessert but due to the service being slower than I would have liked we had to leave. Good restaurant overall, just think that they need a few more staff serving at peak times and it would be great.
Lovely place, lovely food and lovely people. Would have given this place a higher rating but service levels were really low even when the restauranmt wasn't busy. We were constantly looking for staff to take drinks orders etc. Shame really.
This place doesn't actually take OpenTable reservations, so we showed up to find no table available for us!
Staff could not cope with how busy it was, really bad service, asked for water 4 times and it never came. You can just tell some food was just microwaved and not tasty. It was so loud in the restaurant, there were 8 of us but we could not hear each other from 1 end of the table to the other which ruined the catch up.
Disappointed by the food (I had the salmon), but other members of our party enjoyed their meal more. Poor service too - a meal was forgotten, they took ages to take our order and weren’t very attentive. Probably the better of chains but nothing to rave about.
Wait forever to get served. It has been an awful experience. We went there for a team dinner booked a table in advance for 6:30pm on a Wednesday.
We waited 30 min to get half of the drinks (the other half never arrived!!! Even after asking 3 times for it). After 45 min we received the starters. We kept asking for the 4 missing drinks (3 lagers and a mint tea!). And were told that we should wait as it’s busy times! We kept waiting for an additional 30 min and decided to leave before receiving our main courses that we had orders 1:30 min ago!
How difficult is it to put some grilled meat, hummus and salad on a plate ? This was ridiculous.
Great place , amazing food and always professional and efficient service.
Broad gate is manic, but the restaurant is an oasis in the city! We had great service and food. We often use Comptoir group and this is now added to our list of favourites.
Met my son here for dinner around 530pm on a Monday night. Seated immediately. Lovely place with a nice, clean decor. Attentive staff and very nice people. Great food menu, I can see why this is a popular place. Food arrived quickly, hot and very tasty. Pudding and coffee was also very nice! overall, a great place that I would recoomend and return to. Good value too.
Food was bland and literally tasteless. Waitress couldn't get our drinks order right.
Mezze is expensive for the value received. Taste is acceptable. Coffee is nice.
👍🏼 great food. Good service !
Good quality lunch.
Amazing service! Thank you for helping me surprise my friend for his birthday! Food was delicious, amazing atmosphere and lovely, patient staff. Also some great beer. Thanks so much!
Service was very slow although the place wasn't full. Waited 10 mins after ordering cocktails to be told they didn't have the one we ordered and the replacement we chose was brought with no garnishing, they were just pink liquid...
Whilst the food was wonderful, the service was really poor. Not enough staff to cope with the amount of people coming into the restaurant. Took over 20mins after ordering just to get drinks at the table. Staff were helpful and friendly, but clearly rushed off their feet with what looked like only 2 people having to run the lunch service.
Wouldn’t advise going if you have a strict lunch break of an hour only.
Very good food but the place was over noisy - mainly due to the high volume (club?) music. Felt really tired of shouting all night...
This is a super restaurant , fun and buzzy. Food is great and very authentic.
However we were very unimpressed by our waiter telling us that our 12.5% service charge was not actually a service charge and they only 'got a tiny bit' and we should therefore give him cash, personally. He tried to pressurise us to pay up and this was particularly unattractive.
Always good place to meet and the management are great.
The place was nice but very noisy. It was difficult to speak and listen to each other.
The food - I asked for a hamburger, small piece of meat and the potatoes were with a lot of garlic. Personally, I found the food expensive for what it was. I am not sure I will go again.
The best of the night was the company.
I love the food and the staff is very friendly. One of the best places to eat or for a coffee within Broadgate Circle.
Busy branch in Broadgate Circus. Great food, plenty of veggie options and for large parties, sharing options. Diners are tightly packed and therefore I was disturbed several times by waiters trying to get into tables. Friendly staff and definitely book if you want to try.
Fabulous staff and food! My parents had never tried Lebanese before and were converted! £150 total including three bottles of wine and three beers + mains and desert to share
The service was average. Not particularly attentive. The food wasn't great. Everything was covered in coriander which was very overpowering.
This was a lovely little find. The staff were friendly and helpful. The ingredients all round were fresh and tasty especially the mint and citrus in the drinks. The lamb fattet was really delicious and the tagine was lovely and tasty as well. The mezze was lovely and the baklava was the best I've had.
Very nice place to celebrate your birthday!! The food it's really good, the service was fantastic I will definitely come back!
I would like to register my disappointment: I had this booking confirmed to 26/01 at 23h00, so I left my home (a 30 minutes trip) with my husband and 2 children expecting to have a nice dinner, but unhappily when we arrived at 23h05 the restaurant was closed.
How come that your website says it would close at midnight, and there was even slots to be booked at 23h30, the site let me book, send me a confirmation, then I get there and find the place closed?!
We ended up having to eat something at Liverpool station. =(
Rushed and chaotic service
Nice, friendly waiting staff, casual, large menu, many soft drinks
The food is exceptionally good, delicious and very imaginative. The restaurant is very popular, but unfortunately was terribly noisy at lunch time. The waiting staff were friendly and charming.
Overal just a very good experience. Cant fault it, friendly and tasty, service well excellent!
Lovely for lunch, great atmosphere. A bit under staffed for a Friday afternoon as our drinks arrived after we had finished our food
Good location for catch up over dinner with friend. Tasty food. Would come again.
