Connaught Brasserie

We were a little worried due to the current climate but we needn’t have been, goid and staff were great, we ate 2 nights in a row.

Excellent service and food delicious. Highly recommend.

Very friendly staff. Was quiet when we went so hard to determine how busy it gets. Great food and a reasonable price.

We stayed at the hotel so ate here on our first night. The food was delicious, I had the duck leg which was good. The price was fine for the quality and the service was great

The food was very tasty and the presentation was superb. My wife and I both had sirloin steaks and they were cooked as requested and once again very delicious. Our staters were also beautifully presented and delicious. As we had ordered two courses we had a choice of sweet courses which was given to us free and gratis. The waiters were attentive and we were not kept waiting.

Excellent venue, with excellent food however they could have turned off the main spots in the outer wings of the dining room to make the most of the chanderliers.

Food was excellent cooked to perfection. Good choices on the menu. Service very good and nothing was to much.

The restaurant is in desperate need of revamp. It’s a bit random really.!! The food was nice as was the wine. The staff might want to moan about there working conditions to the customers. Especially in the current climate when hospitality has been so damaged by the pandemic. Otherwise very average and I can honestly say I won’t be returning.!

All of our party enjoyed the meal. The service was good and we found Christina particularly helpful. Would definitely return when in the area.

Small starters, the seared tuna was tasteless. The cod and risotto were good but the creme brûlée was cold. Wine was lovely and good service

My only complaint is that the main course vegetables were very salty... other than that, it was delicious

Over all I would recommend this place. Food was very good although a bit pricey. Waiting staff were very Polite and friendly. Immaculately clean and felt very covid safe.

From beginning to end our first experience of dining at The Connaught Brasserie was amazing. The staff were attentive but not pushy and didn’t rush you, the menu choices were varied and included special offers too.
The food was delicious and beautifully plated. I would not hesitate to return again or to recommend the Brasserie to other diners.

Food great, very tasty, although starter portions small. Service from Elkin was excellent, but all staff were good and trying their best with limited staff at a busy time. Ambience good although the original table we chose, the lighting felt too bright and couldn’t be dimmed so we moved table. Very enjoyable food and the gin and tonic deal at the bar from 5 til 6 is great with 50 amazing gins to choose from!

Very bad experience.
As we were not greeted by staff or able to attract anyone’s attention in the 10-15mins of entering the hotel and brasserie we left without dining or drinking.
We went to the Cumberland Hotel and had a fantastic meal experience.

Relaxed atmosphere. The staff are so attentive and very polite. Nothing is too trouble. The food is good and well presented.

Had no expectations, but the food was lovely, service great and sensible prices. Highly recommended.

We had booked into stay at the Connaught Hotel for 2 nights. After booking our stay we were asked if we would like to book at the Brasserie. We took a look online and thought we’d book in on our first night.
We’d already popped in for a drink earlier in the day and both in the bar and the restaurant the staff was amazing. Super friendly and welcoming.
We can highly recommend the Rabbit Samosas which were out of this world. Also the Duck leg for main was incredible. However my partners steak was cooked well but unfortunately it was bland and slightly chewy.
The restaurant looks great, with lovely seating and decor, unfortunately even with light background music it did feel very quiet but I’m assuming that’s due to the time of year it wasn’t as busy.

We would highly recommend and definitely revisit if we were in the area again.

Good food and well presented on the plate. The jumble of different styles of tables and chairs in the large space seemed a little unwelcoming, but the spacing was no doubt due to Covid. Ambiance unfortunately let down by a noisy table next to us - not something that the restaurant has much control over.

Situated in a new, pleasant part of the hotel. Staff are excellent - polite, efficient and always get your order right! Compliments to the chef - food is excellent. Beautifully presented.

We had a fantastic stay at The Connaught and couldn’t fault it. I can honestly say it’s the nicest hotel we have stayed at and we have traveled the world

Most of the dishes we tried were excellent. New forest mushroom risotto and duck breast were exceptional. Linguine a touch overdone.
Great atmosphere and excellent value

With Covid restrictions I think the Hotel covered everything very well. All staff were wearing deface masks, all tables were cleaned well before being seated and Spaced well apart. Under the present circumstances I could not fault it.

I observed many customers take their mask off when entering the restaurant before then walking past many seated customers whilst walking to their table. What is the logic of the? the need for mask wearing needs more reinforcement.

Very Covid safe with all staff being extremely pleasant. The tables were set well apart and yet there was a really good atmosphere in there. The food was extremely good and just the right amount. All in all a very pleasant evening!

We booked various restaurants before going to Bournemouth as we were told many were booked. We had tried to get in the Connaught Hotel but it was fully booked.
We had previously been to the restaurant when it was Drake's a number of years ago and had a great meal. Hence we booked here again. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and by far the best meal of the week. We will return when in Bournemouth

Food was amazing and the restaurant was beautiful. It was my Fiancé’s birthday to which they brought out a desert with happy birthday written on it. Was a lovely touch. Thank you!

The covid hygiene was very good giving us confidence to enjoy our drink and meal.
