Delicious. Delightful service, would definitely go again

Banquet was a great way sample of number of meals on the bistro menu. Excellent value for money and the food was amazing!
Service was a teeny bit slow and we had to wait for waitstaff to refill our drinks from our bottle (kept elsewhere) but other than that, the visit was fantastic.

Everything was Brilliant. Good Service and Vibe.

Such a great dinner out ! Food was del ious and with multiple allergies they were able to give us the confidence to really enjoy the food. They also moved us when asked as was a little noisy for us to a perfect location .

Fantastic service and food

Our waitress was amazing..

My Mother took a fall due to her metal knee and the waitress rushed to her aid immediately. She then offered her a glass of wine, on the house, to bring the mood up after she had seated her again...such great attentive service with heart!

Great service , excellent music and delicious food. Good selection of wine. Staff particularly remarkable - relaxed , friendly and efficient. A great evening !

Fantastic atmosphere, not cheap by any means and service was a little slow. But food was delicious. Great date venue.

If I could rate the service higher than 5 stars I would. My partner and I had a wonderful meal, the variety and quality of the menu (we had the banquet) was fantastic.
The cocktails were also very good, and a great wine selection.

Can't wait to come back.

Nice food for a relaxed midweek dinner. Service was quite good, a bit slow with drinks but nicely paced food delivery.

Amazing food here at continental. I have recommended this restaurant to several of my friends. Only down fall to the experience was seating. My partner and I had a booking but were placed at the bar to eat and drink. Been placed at the bar is no issue however we were placed in between two other couples making the space very close to each other and not COVID safe.

Love love the cocktails in tins!! Such a cool funky place. Definitely will be returning!!

Not much of a wine drinker so would have been good to see a couple more beers on the menu..

Not up to the usual standard. Salad was small, service was hit and miss and the Cosmopolitan Cocktail was so sickly sweet it was hard to drink. Pasta still terrific, wish the lunch menu was a bit sexier.

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will be coming back for sure. Next time will ask to sit down stairs as that seemed to have more of a fun vibe.

I really enjoyed our night out at Continental Deli Newtown - it was a lovely ambience in the restaurant - quiet enough to be able to talk to each other, but with a buzz of people around you. The food was fantastic, the service wonderful, and they served cocktails in this interesting tinned can! A bit of a novelty. A great night, and will definitely return.

Great food and good atmosphere. Some dishes are pretty good value, others surprisingly overpriced. Bit noisy and waiters don't always hear you. Overall really good though.

I’d been so excited to come here with my boyfriend for our anniversary, but the service was truly truly awful. I’ve been here previously with my mother and received amazing service and had a nice time. I think maybe because we were both in our 20’s the waitress assumed we weren’t going to spend much? But she was outright rude, disinterested and bored. The other waiters seemed nice and attentive when we talked to them. The food was nice, yes expensive but if the service was good I honestly wouldn’t be complaining.

We left feeling cheated, paying near $200 for a woman to be rude to us.

We had a lovely birthday dinner for my daughter and our friends loved it too.
Food was delicious and staff were friendly and efficient. An all round pleasurable experience.
Will go again.

Lovely afternoon & perfect service

Small but interesting menu with great service in vibey deli with bar seating. Restaurant style service upstairs but we chose the bar seating where we watched the plating up of the fabulous selection of meats, cheeses & canned seafood.

Octopus was incredible, the wines were great, staff were fantastic and knowledgeable. Couldn’t have had a better experience anywhere else

We enjoyed so much our evening at the Continental Newtown. We tried the one in the CBD totally not the same vibe. The food has a taste, the atmosphere is like in the best NYC delicatessen, the drink came in a can, the waitress was the best ever. If you are served by Stephanie you will have an amazing evening, she knows all the menu and its nuances, she is adorable and professional. This makes a huge difference to our evening, can't wait to go back Chi & Gerard

Sitting on Australia St (just off king st) is a lovely and calm way to spend your afternoon. We had the cheese and charcuterie board: a delicious selection of prosciutto, ham, salami and brie, goats cheese, and so on. A great spot to go with a close circle of friend - even just for some relaxing drinks. Lovely staff as well.

Wouldn’t go back - was on my bucket list of restaurants to try since they opened in the cbd - awkward seating in bar area facing mirrored wall in Newtown. Drinks were good. Food nothing to rave about. Overall, uncomfortable - If we had known would definitely given it a BIG miss.
