all of our entrees were delicious and our bottles of wine were very good at a good value! Our waiter, Rafael was excellent and very hepful!
A diner sitting outside allowed her dog to drink water from a glass & also fed the dog using a side plate.
Food was phenomenal as always. Went in for a business lunch and everyone enjoyed their meals. 5🌟
Food was very good. Service was excellent. We had a large group and they handled everything perfectly. Will be back
Best neighborhood restaurant in Houston. Love this place. Everyone is amazing. Food it great.
Loved it. Beautiful restaurant, great ambiance, yummy food. However, we closed out and still had a bottle of wine to finish. The waiter took the bottle even though there was still wine left. Then he completely neglected our table and I had to ask another server for water when he walked by. It was really annoying!! Having to hunt down someone to have a glass of water. Besides that everything was amazing.
Amazing crunchy pizza! Delicious fish of the day.
Warm Olives- what’s the deal with the cinnamon...
Beef carpaccio- not very flavorful
Goat cheese ravioli- was ok. Edges were hard and too thick.
Skipped dessert as it seemed our server was ready for the check.
Price and meal - Not justified
The papardelle was superb!
Very nice atmosphere, and very good service, but the dish I had for lunch was too salty. Self parking was very hard.
We came for date night but looking around this place would also be good with our son, very family friendly. The spaghetti carbonara was so good and they mix the cream and egg yolk table side! The pizza was also yummy, crisp with a good helping of toppings!
I used to actually like this place. It has been awhile since last visit. This time, the service was terrible! Our waiter only removed one out of 3 plates after each course. I never understood why! By the time we were served with desserts, there were still two big dirty plates sitting in the middle of the table! After asking the waiter to remove them, he took one away! Don’t bother to come to this place.
We went in advance on a theatre production. Loved the food and service. Loved it! Best carbonara in Houston. The okra appetizer was something so different and yummy. We had four different pastas among the seven of us. Everyone loved their meal. But as a table full of adults, I don’t think we’ll go again at 5:45 unless the patio is available. Since it was so early and it was too cold for the patio, the restaurant was full of young families. Lots of noise and children running around the restaurant. Don’t get the review wrong! We loved the food and service. We will go back again.... but not at 5:45 on a Friday night.
Server Antonio C. provided excellent care.
The wait staff and wine list is amazing! Our favorite waiter Meduardo really took great care of us once again. The hostess Anna always makes us feel so welcome. She even saved us a table inside when we had originally requested outdoor and then the weather was not conducive. We love the staff and they are the reason we always come back to Coppa. They know how to show the love and attention to make their patrons feel special.
Had reservations but didn’t actually get seated for 30 minutes. Once seated though, service was good and food was great so all I all a good experience.
Food was perfect for all 4 of us and our waiter was extremely attentive and friendly!
Cops is good for all occasions but because of their food quality, we save for special occasions.
Always a local favorite
I LOVE this place! Consistent excellent food, cocktails, and service!
we love the calzones especially!!!
Love this restaurant! We live in the Hanover Rice Village and we love how close we live to so many good restaurants and bars but we love Coppa a lot. Even on a Monday night they were crowded but the service was excellent and the food really good. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good authentic Italian food that is reasonably priced.
Took awhile to be seated despite 8pm reservation, but not too surprising given the earlier crowd, numerous large parties, etc. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful but went awol for awhile between entrees & dessert. Food was excellent as usual. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday, but that was never acknowledged. 4 stars rather than 5 since CO didn’t seem to be on it’s A-game, but I’d recommend this place nonetheless. We’ll definitely be back.
Great! We love this place... quiet, homey and great foof
Great food, ambiance, and service
We were sat in what seemed like a private room that was being used to store equipment. We did not request a private room. It seemed like they put us there because they did not have a table ready for our reservation after we had been waiting for 10 minutes. I made a note on the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday but we were never asked if there was a special occasion. The service we got felt very impersonal and we felt that our waiter was annoyed that we were sat in a private room for only a group of 5. The waiter did not ask how our food was and did not offer us fresh pepper or cheese like we saw him doing for other tables. We were also not offered bread and he never asked if we wanted to order more drinks. We ordered a bottle of rosé and he did not put it in a bottle chiller like we saw was being done for other tables. Overall, the food was great but we were very disappointed in the service.
Everything was excellent, as usual! The Carbonara was to die for!
Showed up for a 7:15 at 7 and got seated at 8:15... at the worst table in the restaurant. Food was great but the “front of house” was enough to make me never return. Been to Coppa probably a dozen times in the last two years but will never return. GM Josep and his suit wearing companion have their headed planted firmly in their teaser-ends and are more concerned with patting themselves on the back than serving their customers and essentially their partners. Joke. Should have never cancelled our reservations at North. The end is near for these posers. Spend your money elsewhere.
We went for NYE. Food came out really fast. It seemed like maybe 5 minutes after we ordered. I’m sure they had a lot of stuff precooked since it was going to be really busy. I ordered the usual Spaghetti Carbonara which was a little off but still good. It was more al dente than it usually is. My boyfriend ordered the half chicken, which I thought would take a little longer to get, but it came at the same time. The white meat was pretty dry but overall had good flavor. For dessert, I always order the hazel chocolate cake. It’s my absolute favorite, but it was dry and disappointing. As soon as I stuck my fork in it, the cake crumpled. It was not moist as it usually is.
We made reservations for NYE at 5:45. When we got there, they first tried to seat us in a tiny corner by the kitchen next to kids who were on the floor watching ipads and being very loud. I asked to sit somewhere else, and without hesitation they moved us to the main dining room to a much better table. Wonderful drinks, service, and food as always!
Love this place! A great place for a festive dinner and they don’t mind children! So fun! And delicious food.
The food and atmosphere was fantastic!
Please bring back the cheese ravioli. It was the best in town. Please!!!
Very loud, and we made a reservation on open table and didn’t get seated until 40 minutes after our reservation...
It was my first time at the restaurant and it was amazing. The atmosphere was great for my date with my wife. She loved everything thing as well. I know this won't happen to everyone, but the owner paid for our meal because it was my wife's birthday. So a big Thank You to the owner!
Excellent pizza and wine, and great service as usual.
Great experience! Food wine and service were excellent!
Service was spotty
On Wednesday (11/20) I made a online dinner reservation for two on Friday (11/22) at 7:00pm.
When we arrived, we were asked to wait shortly by the bar as a table needed to be cleaned off. Fifteen minutes later, I returned to the host station to ask for a status....the hostess asked if we had been waiting by the bar, which was strange because she was the one that asked us to wait in the bar area. We were asked to continue to wait.
Finally at 7:25pm, we were approached by the hostess to lead us to our table....and where did the hostess eventually seat us?? At the table closest to the front door so we can feel the cold night air each time the front door was opened by restaurant patrons and staff.
I’m certain this restaurant will respond with “we had an especially busy night, we were short staffed, etc”. However, we found it quite Interesting to witness enough people (not groups) walk in the restaurant and get seated immediately within the 25 minutes we waited for our table that should have been available at 7pm.
So what’s the point of making a reservation if you can’t honor it appropriately?
