    Service was great. Ambience is wonderful, Covington hotel is a beautiful space. Food though was lacking from start to finish. It’s not the worst but they need an elevated food experience. We spent the pre evening at revival bottle shop and discovered they will be opening and upgrading the bar area, which sounds amazing. If they actually do this planned bar experience they need to upgrade the food menu. Starters were basic and circa 90’s(strawberry salad, seriously?), mains were mediocre to gross, hamburger isn’t bad but cream sauce lamb pasta was disgusting. Desserts were dry and bland, flavorless, pathetic actually, truly not worth the calories. They need more fresh veggies, variety of flavor and creativity and less fried and meat heavy, come into 2023 Coppins the water is warm.

    What a delicious meal and in such beautiful surroundings. The food was truly selected for quality, prepared with originality, and had just the right amount of herbs and interesting ingredients for one to wonder how they ever thought to put all those good ideas together on the same plate. The sablefish, which I'd never tasted before, was deliciously similar to Chilean sea bass. And you could actually hear the conversation, due to the fact that tables aren't crowded together as they are in so many restaurants now. It made for a relaxed evening, without excess or loud chatter in ears too near to have a cozy, intimate date with my awesome husband.

    We were celebrating our anniversary and it was the first time I can recall receiving special treatment. They had a card on the table and champagne at the end. Filet mignon was delicious as was the beef fat fries and my husband's burger. My cocktail was also delicious! Beautiful space without being overly stuffy.

    We loved sitting outside and it was a beautiful evening. Our server, Margie, was on top of things and made us feel welcome and gave us great suggestions. The appetizers were delicious. The homemade tots you definitely don’t want to miss out on. The burrata was tremendous with the homemade pesto and walnuts, and the fried mushrooms while it’s not a beautiful dish it was extremely delicious and the mushrooms were perfectly crisp and creamy. I would go back for the appetizers alone. While I loved our cocktails and have loved cocktails every time at this establishment, the wine is a miss for me. I wish they would amp up their wine menu for wine lovers bc its one of the lacking things from the menu. While the bourbon selection is grand and one of the incredible offerings at Coppins, sometimes a girl just wants some wine. The entrees were good. I liked the tagliatelle much better than the filet and found the pasta to be cooked perfectly and the sauce delicious with the freshest peas. My dinner date loved the tagliatelle as well and agreed the filet was lacking. It wasn’t satisfying like I had thought it would be, the sauce, the sides just ok. As for the dessert well it ranked probably above the appetizers and I would consider going there for a coffee and dessert alone. We had the cheesecake with pistachios and I’m almost positive the cheesecake was made with goat cheese which I love. Whatever they did to this it was well worth it and the selection was hard to choose only one. I’m not a sweets person but this was beyond a dessert. Margie did not lead us astray and we should have allowed her to choose both of entrees as I’m pretty sure we would have been happier had we done that. Overall I will always be back because the ambiance was the most value. You can’t beat the restaurant or outdoor seating here. It was perfect.

    Jack - an excellent server in every way. Super friendly, super professional. The strawberry basil salad was wonderful (fresh, flavorful ingredients). I added grilled salmon (Jack's recommendation) and it was even better. Could go back tonight and have the same thing. I love the vibe of Coppin's. A delightful Thursday evening.

    The menu has a nice selection. The Sablefish Entree is delicious and so happy that the Coppins burger stays on the menu. It is a great place to relax or celebrate a special day too! Our favorite place to go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Our waiter Steve always takes great care of us!

    We sat at the bar an asked the bartender for a drink and he forgot us and went to talk to a customer. Unfortunately, the bartender in front of us making drinks for the servers did not ask us if we needed a drink either she was too busy having a personal conversation with the bar back. They had several bartenders, and they were busy making drinks for the servers and talking to each other. Once we got to our table, our server was amazing and so was our meal. Definitely typical millennial service were there too cool to wait on other people even though when they’re in the service industry.

    Mother’s Day Brunch. We were last of the reservations and feel the food wasn’t warm. Waitress only would allow us water. Never got checked on. Had to get stuff ourselves. For the price and gratuity included I wasn’t impressed

    First told me I would have to wait awhile to be seated md I was in time for my reservation. Coffee was cold and old, bacon was barely cooked, never offered refills, and took my silverware away before I was finished eating.

    Coppins has a special place in my heart as it was where my husband and I went to dinner immediately after getting engaged, where we got married and now where we take our moms for brunch for Mother’s Day. The food is delicious and they have a wide variety to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. The service is always immaculate and Shianne has been our server every time by complete coincidence which makes me even more fond. She is an absolute rockstar!!! Coppins has seen me get engaged, married and maybe next year I’ll get to celebrate my own Mother’s Day there.

    We went for Mother’s Day brunch. It was a buffet so we served ourselves but needed to order drinks, etc from our server. I think she stopped by our table 2X and it took forever to get a drink. I had to walk around and look for silverware and found it at a drink cart. We spent $400 for 4 of us - it was not worth the money and disappointing.

    I surprised my husband for our 20th anniversary in 2019 and was so excited to bring our aunt and uncle back to celebrate their 50th. The lack of menu choices, the exorbitant prices and the small amount of food received was so disappointing after such great memories just 4 years ago. The wagu steak and roasted Brussels sprouts were part of one of our top 10 meals and now the small filet mignon and menu choices, depressing.

    We booked a reservation for dinner and ended up not loving the menu, so we told the waitress we were going to only do drinks. She immediately changed her tone and was quite rude to us. Drinks were very good, but the staff was not friendly. I do not recommend visiting, as there are plenty of other great places nearby.

    Do you remember when Coppins was a Covington department store? Now it is a great restaurant at a great hotel (Hotel Covington) on Madison Avenue (in Covington, KY). Service was great. Had a reservation and got there a little early. My party was seated right away. Our server was very attentive but did not hover. Food was tasty and beautifully presented. Lots of vegetarian selections. Would definitely suggest you try eating here.

    My husband and I were a later in the day reservation for Easter brunch. Sometimes brunch buffets look a bit ragged toward the end. But not at Coppin's! The food was as fresh and the stations were as clean as if we were the first reservation of the day! I have wanted to dine at Coppin's for some time, and this was the first. I am now a loyal customer after just one visit!
