Cork & Flame

Food was okay- it may seem like a good idea to get the tasting menu but the portions are very small. Some of the dishes were very good- lobster bisque, scallops and the stuffed prunes. The filet tasted like liquid smoke (v odd) and the bison was overpowered by the chimichuri. Deconstructed apple pie was delicious. Also our waiter told us there were no specials then we heard the waiter next to us list specials not on the menu to the table next to us. The other thing that we struggled with was the wine selections. You have to walk over to the wine market to pick a bottle and the lady who is helping was very pretentious and gave me no guidance bc I think she thought I didn’t know anything about wine (ironically I’m a level one som and a wine educator). More the reason to help someone when your wine isn’t organized in way to pick a bottle in a timely manner for dinner. Was really looking forward to a nice dinner but it was very expensive and underwhelming.

This was my first time going to brunch here, and it was decently dark given the time of day. Also, I was with a friend that has a food sensitivity, and the selections for her were extremely limited which was disappointing. The service was a bit slow and not as attentive as they could have been given it is supposed to be fine dining. I was pretty underwhelmed, and I’ll be seeking out other places for brunch.

Food was outstanding and service was perfect. The best restaurant experience that I’ve had in the Augusta area! Will definitely return!

John helped us select a nice wine and gave us some history about some of our favorite wines. The staff was very knowledgeable and professional. The food was delicious and well presented.

Cork and Flame offers an elegant ambiance where you may enjoy a menu that pleasantly stimulates the senses. The food ranges from dishes which offer comfort to the ones that make you feel like you are eating in a Michelin star restaurant in Madrid. The staff is courteous, profesional and knowledgeable. Their wine list is exceptional and more importantly they have sommeliers which may assist you with wine pairing for your meal. Cork and Flame offers the total package for an elegant and gastronomically pleasing dinning experience.

Our reservation were treated as it should be. My wife and I checked in with the hostess and we were seated no waiting around. Our server Paul was great he made our experience exactly what I hoped for while celebrating our one year anniversary!!!

Seated at 8:10. Left at 10:20. Didn’t eat because our food came out cold. Paid for drinks and appetizers then left.

This is a fine dining establishment and lives up to it. There is a restaurant downtown deservedly known as tops in the area for its food and service but I'm here to say Cork 'N Flame is right there with it and a hidden gem in Evans. Service is exceptional and the entire staff pays attention without being intrusive, I'd give it marks above any place in the area. The food quality is on par with the best as well with a slightly more limited menu. The more limited menu is creative and changes with seasons and ideas, so that is not a knock but what likely allows them to express that creativity. The chef even stopped out to check on how we liked his new approach on our side of brussel sprouts. The main knock I hear on this place is the prices and portion sizes, but the portion sizes are the right size for great food; it's not about quantity and overeating. As for the price, it's not an every night dinner out, but it is great food with exceptional service in a very nice environment and you pay for that which is fair in my book. It's not a chain or family restaurant so don't expect that price or portion and you won't be disappointed.

We dine at C&F regularly. Once again we were very pleased. My husband and I each had a filet with bernaise sauce, which was outstanding. I never pass up the house truffle fries. They are so good. I tried the lobster bisque for the first time and enjoyed it very much. I will get it again. My husband enjoyed a wedge salad. We split the apple pie. We were out with friends who also dine here regularly. They enjoyed everything about their meals too. As always we had a good bottle of wine from the wine shop adjacent to the restaurant to go with dinner. We love dining here not only because of the food and drinks but also because of the service. They recognize that we dine here frequently and make it a point to welcome us back each time. I can’t say enough good things about Cork & Flame. It is a gem.

I am so excited this restaurant was recommended to us. It is one of the best I have been to since moving to the area. The service is outstanding from beginning to end. The food was absolutely incredible! The ambiance is so calm and relaxing. We can not wait to get back and try it again!

We went for a New Year’s Eve dinner. It was a fixed price menu which was a bit of a surprise and a little pricey but the food was perfect. Really nice courses and nice combinations of flavors. Service was excellent only complaint was that it seem to take a few minutes to get in despite having reservations.

Very disappointed that they didn't have my Husbands beer of Choice. Its a very common domestic that they normally have, were just out. His second choice they told him they only had 1. We had dinner on a Wednesday night, it wasn't like it was a busy weekend night

Paul was our server, if I remember. This experience was one of the best I have had ever. I eat out a good bit and have lots of great experiences with friends, but this was very special. These folks nailed it. Paul was superb. Thanks for the great experience for me and my very special guests.

Incredible menu and service

We received exceptional service from the moment we stepped in the door. Food was superb! Wonderful experience from start to finish.

Our server was spot on in checking in with us during courses and keeping all beverages fresh! My husbands elk was absolutely amazing as was my lobster tail...cooked perfectly... but I was underwhelmed with my filet and the goat cheese and potato triangles... both were bland and just not up to par with the rest of the offerings. I should’ve asked to swap the triangles out that’s my fault.

Service was amazing! Food great too. Try the mussels.

Had a great experience

Overall fantastic experience and I'll return again! Highly Definitely recommend it-it's the best dining experience in Evans! Couple of tips; Purchase your wine at the wine market and bring that in if you plan on more than one glass.
We were moderately hungry so we skipped the 1st course and went for the 2nd and 3rd with a shared dessert. I had the lobster bisque and it was fantastic, mixed flavors of sweet and slightly salty really quite good. Wife had the lentil/sausage soup and said it was nearly a meal itself and she really liked it. For main course I had the elk and it was cooked perfectly, tender and the meat was not "gamey"; wife had the special-venison, bit of a tougher cut but it was still pretty tasty and again no gamey taste. The food might be American, but the portions aren't, little on the small size, but surprisingly, we weren't disappointed and walked away full. We had the bread pudding for dessert and it was excellent and that'll fill ya up if you're still hungry.
I loved the easy pace of the meal and never felt rushed by the team to turn the table. Service was very good; they were short staffed for a Monday night, but we could never really tell and they were never put out by simple requests for butter and such. Think it would be even better on a full staff night. Waiter gave great recommendations and worked his room pretty effectively. We had a special occasion so we dressed business casual, but there were some that had dressed down somewhat, we didnt feel out of place and the atmosphere accommodates a fine dine feel. We'll return, and reservations are probably a must do, there was a moderately high volume of diners for a Monday night. A Friday or Saturday, it's probably fully booked.

It was my birthday and we decided to try Cork & Flame because I’ve heard it was amazing and It was very very good, but I’m allergic to a few things that weren’t stated clearly on the menu. what I ordered originally had some of those items in it and the server was very apologetic and apologized for not asking if anyone in my party had allergies to anything. All in all I ate dinner after my husband did because I didn’t want his food to be cold while waiting for my dinner. The manager did come over (I did not ask for them too) and apologize but also went a step above and I’ll leave it at that. The manager, server, and wine after dinner was amazing.

Great experience!

Being in town the Saturday before Christmas, I took my parents. This was our 3rd visit. I have never had a bad experience there. We all had filets, and they were extremely tender, perfectly cooked and the bourbon sauce had a wonderful smokey flavor. Two ofus enjoyed the starter with figs and bacon, highly recommended! The lobster bisque was perfect.

It was a good experience except for Waitr took about 15 minutes to get one piece of toast which I got charged two dollars for was charged eight extra dollars to add some extra champagne to Mamosa duck confit it was good did you hear us was good a little small my husband left hungry too dark in the restaurant could not see very well the chef was very nice came to the table explain things

Excellent dining experience. Food was fabulous and service was impeccable.

Anniversay. First time visit. Server was Matthew. He was great, very knowledgeable about the menu and explained everything wonderfully since we were first timers. Food was amazing! My wife enjoyed the filet mignon and I loved the Elk. Highly suggest visiting if you haven’t.
