Corso: A Culinary Tour of Italy
Food was ok. Service was good. Way to salty. Nothing special.
Great experience and will definitely come back again
The food was terrible. Pasta had no flavor, pizza was dry and no flavor. For an Italian restaurant it was very disappointing and very expensive for food we didn’t enjoy!
Amazing food and service! Thank you for letting us feel human again!
Not much selection of pasta (only 2) esp for an Italian restaurant. Ordered stake, meat was good but no taste.
I preferred the restaurant when they had the antipasto bar, then several courses served at your table. The al a cart menu now was not appealing. I ordered chicken marsala but it was more like chicken parmesan with less flavour and there was no marsala sauce. My husband ordered the capocollo (slow-braised pork), it was dry and flavourless.
I’m not sure if COVID situation have had some impact of their food quality; however, it was my first time visiting there and I did not enjoy my pizza. We ordered Margarita and what we’ve got was more taste and looks like a frozen baked cheese pizza with some fresh basil on it. Looking at the price range and the name of the restaurant you would expect a lot more than a simple and dry pizza.
Family getaway weekend
Service was good and the food was tasty. It was quiet with a nice ambience.
Very nice and relaxing dining venue. Great food with great service made our visit even more special. Thank you all.....well done!!!
They haven't figured out how to deliver a great meal during covid. The menu is limited and over priced but it was too late to find a table anywhere else. We had fish, beef & pizza and it was all adequate at best. If you do get stuck there go with the pizza and choose toppings you like. This place used to be awesome and I'm sure it will be again just not for awhile.
Our server Daniel was amazing and helped to make the experience. I would not rate this as a traditional Italian restaurant. The caprese salad and bread was good. The main entrees were a little disappointing. I usually like very traditional Italian, Veal scalopini, Chicken parmigiana or Oso bouco. We had cappuccinos which were more like espresso and had a desert plate. Again it was okay but not great. We had room service the next day, breakfast. It was horrible, not cooked and we had to send it back. Unfortunately very expensive and disappointing.
We really enjoyed our dinner here, service was very friendly and the restaurant was in a great location, didn't even need to leave the hotel.
COLD! My pork dinner was cold halfway through eating it. The restaurant was really chilly. And worst of all our creme brule was cold. Tasted like cold eggs.
It was cold ate it because we were hungry
They could have brought it hot looks like sitting on the counter for too long to picked up by some one to bring it to the table
We did enjoy the bread appetizer and calamari but did not enjoy our mains.
Excellent food and service!! Thank for making our anniversary memorable!
The food was great. We had calamari as main dish - big enough and delicious, chicken was good, pork was amazing and pizza of the day - the best pizza my son ever had based on him. Portions are huge.
This was my first time at Corso and I absolutely LOVED it! The Margherita pizza was a great starter that was shared between myself and boyfriend. The Penne pasta was absolutely DELICIOUS! We loved it so much we wanted to get it again for dinner the next day. The sangria pitcher was very tasty as well. Thank you to our waiter Alex who was friendly and took the time to explain the chefs specials. We will definitely be back!
Nice restaurant and atmosphere, but overpriced for what you get. A pasta dish on the menu is around $22-$24. You would think that would include a piece of bread or roll but instead you have to pay another $5.00 for bread. No freebies at this restaurant. On another note, the food was good and the service was fantastic.
Food was delicious, and our server was very attentive. Excellent job
Nothing we ordered was great. From the starters, to the mains to dessert, it was mostly average with one dish being very substandard. The beef rolls we ordered were we’re supposed to have be braised and tender but instead they were served very dry and rubbery. In addition the meat had so much fat on it that at least half the portion was inedible.
Considering the price of the food and the average quality, I would never eat here again.
Nice, but not very much selection. Was a bit disappointing! Im guessing if the buffet was available, it would've been much better. Unfortunately, co-vid has ruined that option. Also, it felt almost like we were in a cafeteria. Nice waiter though.
My husband birthday
My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on our last night at Niagara Falls, and decided to try something different! Since we’re used to the stereotypical spaghetti and lasagna Italian food, it was great to try these fine dishes at Corso. Everything was delicious.
Unfortunately, our dinner was not as expected. My wife found a piece of elastic in the bread (we informed the staff) and her meal was not hot when it was brought to the table. The waiter and manager acted accordingly regarding the elastic found in the bread by apologizing but the charge was not removed from our bill. Disappointing to say the least. Not sure we would be going back.
The meal itself was delicious, especially the bread! The service was meh, we were passed up numerous times after being seated and were close to walking out. I understand that we are experiencing a terrible thing, but there was more than ample staff to at least acknowledge us. We would definitely give it another try. It would be nice if they offered a few more items on the menu for the next time.
I’m really sorry. We did not enjoy the food at all. It x2 tasted nothing like Italian food. Our server was ok. He didn’t wow us and didn’t really stop by often to check on us. He seemed very annoyed when we questioned the bill as we are not tourists so should not have been charged that fee. We live 25 min away.
Our experienced summed up is somewhat disappointed, i know the restaurant is different than before covid and i would have loved to see that restaurant. The waitress was good our food was good to ok, but no experience just what would you like to order, here is the food, how would you like to pay. I may a point the next morning to have a conversation with our server and the manager for our breakfast about the mini Corso barrels of wine and they did not know nothing about them, i understand they are decorations but you need to know your environment and the only reason i asked was my last name is Corso and tried to make conversation, everyone is too busy and move on to the next customer. Be in the moment. We had reservation at the Hilton and used the vouchers for the dinner and breakfast, but our dinner they did not use the entire $30 off, i thought that was petty and i read the fine print after. my opinion is i did pay $64 for a bottle of wine that probably cost $30 and our meals were $24 and $28 to only get $26.50 off the bill, as stated earlier it is petty. if given a choice Angela an I will not be back to your restaurant.
I really think this could be a great experience, just not the way it was presented that night.
All the best
Angela and Jerry Corso
Everything was great! Food was delicious, the restaurant was beautiful. Our server was Zak and he was amazing. Very friendly, genuine and great personality
The service and ambiance was great and the drinks were decent however the menu was very very limited and basic. We were under the impression that it was all you can eat family style and the website and signage on the restaurant didn’t say differently. It was understandable having a smaller menu due to the current circumstances but it was disappointing that it wasn’t more creative.
I would not return
My boyfriend & I came here for dinner on Sunday night and we had a great experience! Our cocktails, appetizers and mains were all great. The false I was amazing and the pasta was so tasty. Our server Sasha was fantastic! He was very attentive, polite, quick & overall a great server. I highly recommend him and this restaurant!
loved the food especially the salad and bread, service was nice and there’s food options for kids as well! just remember to make reservations on busy days!
The Corso is a good restaurant. The location is great and there are ample seating choices for anyone that wants to dine with them. We enjoyed the calamari (except for the dipping sauce which was sweet chili sauce out of a bottle). The caprese salad was delicious and the inhouse homemade breads were to die for! We tried the pizza special for the day and it was a little disappointing -- the crust was no where near as good as it should have been for an Italian restaurant. We would go back and are hopeful that they will continue to fine tune their menu.
Best Italian I have had for a long time.
Excellent service and ambiance.
We will come again for sure. Thumbs up for your homemade bread and calamari. Actually all was delicious.
As too many restaurants in Ontario, lights are too brillant. Ambiance look like a cafeteria. And no one in the restaurant are sensible to that.
It is always a good experience here st corso
In fact one of the waiters recognized us from before. This is our third time here.ĺ
We had the pasta special and pizza of the day dishes! It’s a very nice restaurant with some good wine. Would definitely go back.
Very open concept mostly due to Covid.
Friendly and quick service.
No bread brought to the table before main course. Unusual for an Italian restaurant.
Food was good but not exceptional.
