Craft & Commerce
This review is for the restaurant, not the speakeasy
Four of us, reserved a table for dinner via OpenTable and reached the place a few minutes before our reservation time. The hostess immediately seated us in comfortable seats, fireside. Besides our waitress, various people from the staff stopped by our table with food, drinks and water and every single person was really warm and nice. The food was amazing (Eggplant Dip, Roasted Broccolini, Roasted chicken, the tart and the fetuccini) and so we're the drinks (Something Spicy and Emily's Vault). We had a great time and would most likely return :)
This restaurant was great! The food was excellent, the atmosphere was very nice. There are small, tabletop fireplaces on the tables on the patio area. There is also a hidden speakeasy at the back of the restaurant that we visited and had some drinks. Standing room mostly as it was a Saturday and very busy. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant again. Thank you for the great service!
Great service. The food was amazing!!
The meat at Craft & Commerce is delicious. Chicken wings and hamburgers are the bomb!! Great drinks and atmosphere!
This is a restaurant for the beer lover for sure!! They have tons of craft beer varieties. Food selections were interesting and delicious but limited. They have a small selection of wine and they do not have any vodka cocktails. They said that unlike gin or rum, vodka overpowers the different cocktail flavors. The menu options were confusing so without the help of the waitress and staff I would not have been able to decide on anything. Artichokes were sublime. I took a chance on the bone marrow and was pleasantly surprised. But the best of all was the cornbread- it is outstanding! Overall a terrific dining experience!
Lunch menu online is not the menu you get at the restaurant which was kind of disappointing because there weren't many options for our picky eaters. The Beet Salad was excellent, the Brussel Sprouts were very good but the poached egg on top was watery and did nothing at all for them. The Korean Wings were just so so. I would still come back because it was a nice atmosphere and the prices weren't too bad but next time i will go for something other than Saturday lunch.
Craft and commerce was a great meeting spot for several couples to meet at before a night out. The drinks were great and we will be back!
We love coming here every few months for date night as the menu changes on occasion. We had looked the same day to see what the current menu items were and were pleasantly surprised at a few of the new items listed. Unfortunately when we got there none of the items we had hoped to try were on the menu that evening. I was fairly disappointed as nothing even close to what we wanted was available and none of our old favorites were available either. Also, one of the items that my fiancé and I shared ended up giving us fairly severe gastrointestinal issues the rest of the night - probably due to old oil being used to cook the items. Needless to say it was a fairly poor experience with regards to the food. That being said, the service was fine and the cocktails were wonderful. We’ll be back but definitely know better than to settle on an unsatisfactory menu.
Great craft cocktails and culinary uniqueness. The bone marrow appetizer was an interesting find. Taxidermy decor is wild and fun.
Awesome food and drinks. Love the causal vibe. Wait staff is amazing!
Great food. The Brussels Sprouts are insane. Lots of vegetarian and vegan-friendly options.
The food was fantastic ! The staff was fantastic!
Boring menu, very limited and uninteresting. Asked about a mocktail waitress suggested lemonade gee thanks. Ambiance was lame, table to close together, chairs were very uncomfortable. Wished had gone somewhere else!
We had the absolute best waitress who made our experience unforgettable. We had a small child with us and she made sure we were well taken care of! Thank you Rebecca!
Wonderful. Octopus was incredible.
Been here twice. Both times I was blown away by the deliciousness of their obviously fresh food. The waitress could have been more attentive but she was moving the whole time. I honestly hold nothing against her or how she did her job because I have no idea how much responsibility she actually had. I recommend making a reservation if at all possible. So worth checking out! I'll definitely be going again when down town. No doubt!
Craft & Commerce is such a sultry and delicious vibe, from the well-made cocktails to the delicious and filling small plates my friend and I enjoyed. The interior is decorated beautifully with super interesting and weird artwork and animals on every wall. The staff were friendly and accommodating and solidified I will be back again soon!
Craft & Commerce has been one of my favorite restaurants for years now.
Their food and cocktails are both on point. They do New American cuisine so well, just about anything you get will be good. Also, it was a great place to have my Birthday dinner at.
Craft & Commerce has a unique menu, fun atmosphere and really great staff. On this visit we ordered brussel sprouts, chicken soup and a burger, all of it was tasty.
One of my favorite things about C&C is the handcrafted cocktails, they are delicious.
We ordered the Brussel sprouts as suggested by our waitress...holy smokes was that good!!! The drinks were also amazing!!! We were able to get in to False Idol, the entire menu has a “tiki” theme, whereas C&C has more of a variety, and drinks again were just amazing!
That happy hour is the best pre game EVER !!!
Started out OK but one coworker ordered the steak tartare. The rest of us had our food for about 20 minutes before her tartare finally came out. We were almost finished eating by that time. No effort was made to make up for the mistake. In addition, once her meal finally came out, the service basically stopped. No follow up drink orders, nothing. We finally had to flag down a different server to get the check.
Food and drinks were delicious! Can’t go wrong with the fries and Brussels sprouts!
Very good place to enjoy food with friends and family
Good food, and appropriate for the cost. Chicken wing sauce on the app is great.
The food was delicious. Our server was nice and kudos to her because it was a very very busy/loud evening. My husband ordered a Manhattan but she thought he said martini. Luckily she asked what vodka and was able to straighten out the order. Our surrounding orders smelled amazing. Definitely will go back to try something else on the menu
Food was great. Service was wonderful. The vibe was great.
Fresh, crafted cocktails paired with excellent service and amazing food! Highly recommend
Awesome food and drinks!
Service and food were spectacular. Fire got a little high and close if you were seated in the middle but it added to the experience. Great cocktails and they got us into their tiki speakeasy. Loved it all
The drinks are always great and so is the service. The menu has changed since our last visit. We found the selection was too limited and did not enjoy the flavor profile.
Fantastic Happy Hour.....must try the $2 sliders, and loaded fries!
HH drinks are good but still a tad pricey.
They do supply blankets, but they might want to think about heaters outside.
Overall we all gave them a thumbs up!
I've been here about 3 times before, and keep coming back for it's casual atmosphere, elevated cocktail menu and close proximity to The Music Box - as it's a great stopping point before or after a show. Most recent visit was for a birthday with friends - and a party of 6 was easily booked online (thanks, OpenTable) with a couple of text/email follow ups from the restaurant, which was nice. We were seated early, ordered drinks and enjoyed a nice outdoor meal in a hustling, bustling atmosphere; it was the perfect setting to celebrate. Dining menu is not huge - rather, selective - and it has a bit of a southern food vibe to it with chicken, mashed potatoes and lots of seasoning. Drinks were fresh and inventive; service fantastic and knowledgeable. Kitchen got a bit overwhelmed at the end with lots of big groups so we ended up paying the bill before dessert arrived. That was fine, since we were all ready to hit False Idol for a quick tropical drink before heading out on the town. Nice perk to dining here is that you can get on the waiting list for False Idol while you eat, and the host is able to get you and your friends right in the door. Overall great experience and we'll be back for sure!
Fun vibe. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant. The hostess and waiter were excellent.
Food was delish, service was great, room was fun. Perfect Sunday brunch.
It’s a very fun place with tasty food and good service. That it’s well run is obvious to anyone paying attention.
Always a perfect place to take our out of town guests. And, when we wake up hungry in our neighborhood, there's never a question about where we'll head for the best food around. Plus, the staff is welcoming and fun!
Took my sister here because she was in town. She was blown away. The decorations are great and drinks are good. I had some lamb pasta and she had the 2 piece friend chicken. The hostesses were very attentive!
The food and service is awesome. Everything on the menu is delicious. Will be back.
This was our first visit to C&C. The bartenders and waiters were so nice and friendly. So the service was absolutely fantastic! The food was excellent. I would suggest more entree options for vegetarians. Loads of delicious side to choose from though. They serve great fries, but alas, they don’t have ketchup. I find that very strange. Love ketchup with my fries! And an important note for you martini drinkers out there....the restaurant doesn’t have ANY vodka drinks. No vodka. They do make up for it with wonderful, custom drinks. The strawberry-almond-lime lemonade was to die for!
