Creole de Graw
Good atmosphere, and great place to try new foods. I learned about this place from a foo/travel TV show, which featured their apparently legendary Etoufee dish. It was a great introduction to a great small town, which I used to live near twenty years ago.
Melissa was an amazing waitress and one of the best we had in a long time! She gave us recommendations for things we wouldn’t have thought to order and we loved it.
Could not ask for more. I rarely spend $50 per person so when I do, it better be perfect. Kayla (or Karla), can't remember, was excellent! Food was excellent! Check them out!!!
Everything was great! We had the pork belly, wings, étouffée, and the boil. Recommend all of these!
My husband & I ordered off the “Specials” menu - the Duck was delicious. The Short Ribs were very flavorful. Overall - it was a great evening - very tasty food & drinks. Super service, too!
Consistently delicious food! We love the Shrimp and Grits, Jambalaya, and Etouffee.
We were traveling to the area for a lacrosse tournament and stumbled upon this gem. Carla was our server and was attentive, extremely friendly and steered us in the right direction for what to order. Our two entrées were outstanding and would highly recommend this restaurant; you will not be disappointed!
Love going here - the food is always wonderful - as well as the service. The shrimp & grits are amazing - really everything is !!! Can’t wait to go back.
Food was excellent! Be prepared for large proportions, but order appetizers anyway.....you will likely have lunch for the next day. Thanks to our server Kelly for taking excellent care of our party of 8.
Great brunch spot on Sundays!
The hostess staff was rude and sarcastic and our server was terrible. The food was delicious
Very interesting menu with delicious options. Everyone in our group totally enjoyed their choices. Nice New Orleans flare to the menu, prepared well! Staff was extremely friendly, helpful and well informed. Wonderful, comfortable dining experience.
Service could have been better only 1 menu for 2 people, forgot one item in order, candle not lit but server was very courteous
The food is genuine, authentic and delicious. It's a little too salty for my taste but creole foods probably have a higher salt content. The best pecan pie ever. They have live music Thursdays and I was really enjoying the music but for some reason they pulled the plug on it. I think someone said it was too loud but it was a real bummer. The place is ok on ambiance and has a great beer selection in addition to a fabulous creole menu.
We ate there on a Sunday. We made reservations but did not need them as it was not very crowded! We went there for some Cajun food for an early Mardi Gras. We split the Chef Gumbo with triple topping. It was fabulous. I would make that my meal next time. I ordered tha jambalaya and added chicken. It was good but a lot of rice. My husband got the special, Tile fish on top of corn and crabmeat. It was described as flaky and tastes like lobster. There was a lot of seasoning on it but it was delicious!
Great selection of Creole food( appetizers, soups, salads, entrees and po-boy sandwiches . Not to mention several specials for a Saturday lunch date.
Dined here w/a friend, we were both celebrating our February birthdays. Food was amazingly delicious. Started off with the chicken wings, I had the crab cakes and my friend had the pasta w/shrimp. We had dessert as well, I had the key lime pie w/ice cream and my friend had the lava cake w/ice cream. Not only was the food great, but the service was just as great, very friendly and attentive (thank you Morgan!). Warm and inviting atmosphere. We met the owner as we were leaving and that added a nice special touch as well. Highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely go back again and again.
Our first time here and it was amazing! Food was so good and filling. Our waitress was great and patient.
It was Valentines night, my wife had the stuffed salmon, and I had the ribeye. So,so good! We started with voodoo shrimp and creole dip(our favorite), our server Morgan was on point with everything! The food was great, the service, and the location of our table were awesome!
Food was divine, and great serving sizes for the value
Great friendly place for a tasty lunch. The menu is just filled with memorable offerings. Our server was very attentive and helpful for our first time ordering.
Creole de Graw has become our neighborhood favorite restaurant to go out and grab a bite to eat. The service is always outstanding and the food is amazing. If you are ever in the Havre de Grace area, stop by for a bite. You won't be disappointed.
We have eaten here before and came for restaurant week. The menu offered was good but unfortunately my appetizer of mussels was dry with almost no broth. We had had an issue with a martini that didn’t arrive as ordered so I didn’t want to cause more trouble for our waitress and didn’t send it back. But I should have. The jambalaya was good as was dessert. And my husbands poutine and shrimp and grits were very good too. Just disappointing mussels and servers were extremely busy.
Granted we went in opening day of restaurant week but the service we had was terrible we had a 6pm reservation, we all ordered off of the special menu, 3 courses $30. First course came in good time but in then took almost 45 minutes to an hour to get our entrees. We were told that everything is prepared to order but we watched a table of two seated 30 minutes after us receive their entrees way before ours and eating their dessert before we even received our main course. We just wanted the whole experience to be over with that we had our desserts to go. Our whole dinner time was 2 hours. Unfortunately we will not be back anytime soon.
Loved our meal here and the wonderful recommendations my our waitress. We met friends and had reservations and were able to arrive earlier than anticipated. Mike was very accommodating on the phone. They got us in earlier and it was a wonderful experience. My meal- blackened salmon was great! We lucked out with specials for restaurant week. Table got a variety of items. One of our party was disappointed waitress said they did not have the ribs that were advertised. French onion soup was the best!!!!
Food was excellent. Service friendly and efficient.
We appreciated that we could have an extended lunch conversation without being rushed out. Relaxed environment with lots of New Orleans touches.
We LOVE coming here. They have the best food, and friendliest staff. It does always seem a bit short staffed but it has never been an issue for me.
last couple of times the food has gone downhill. This past time the wife's crab cake was no that good. She did not want to send it back. I would have. Onion soup was GREAT. Jambalaya was just OK. Don't know if I will go back.
The menus were dirty and the menu was hard to understand the appetizers were good but cold my waitress was the best part .
We found it to be expensive. Food was average. The drinks were weak and pricy. But hostess was hot.
Had dinner here for my Wife’s birthday along with my adult daughter. We arrived prior to our reservation, but as they were not yet crowded, they sat us promptly. Server was pleasant and knowledgeable. A solid creole-inspired menu. Prices were above average, but portions were very large. Ordered gumbo and a crawfish special for appys. We shared both between the three of us and still had some shrimp left over. Cornbread came complementary. All delicious. Meals were Shrimp and Grits, Red Beans and Rice and Salmon special. All were very delicious and large. Salmon special was somewhat soupy as it was served over a rice and jambalaya that tasted much like the voodoo shrimp we have gotten there before. Everything was above average. Make no mistake, while the food borders on upscale, this is a casual restaurant. I would prefer the place settings and service to better reflect the nature of the food, but not complaining. Overall, I recommend this spot for anyone wanting a departure from the typical pub fare found elsewhere in town. It will cost you, though! Best bet if you’d like to try first is to go to a happy hour on the weekend and get half priced appetizers.
food excellent, Sammie our server, She was Great!
will go back soon!
My wife and I first time here, we started off with the chefs gumbo. She ordered the crawfish which was season perfectly and in ordered the shrimp gumbo which was heavily salted (not enjoyable). As my main course I ordered the filet with crab cake special. The filet was cooked to a perfect mid-rare and season just right. The crab cake was paired with what I thiught was a well seasoned beurre blanc sauce which did not hide the taste of the crab meat.
Service was great. Food was average at best. Very bland. We ordered 7!different dishes and 2 appetizers. None of it was above average. Not bad, but very average. The bill with drinks was over $400.
Great local restaurant!!! Great food and more importantly a fun environment.
Server was great! Food was amazing. Really enjoyed our date night.
The food here is OUTSTANDING! Love the NOLA flair. Have always had a great experience. We prefer going to brunch there there over other restaurants because of the home cooked and fresh food. Also who doesn’t love a Bloody Mary bar!
Food was excellent. Best Ettoufe that I have ever had, including New Orleans. My wife loved her fish.
Would recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
