   The food was excellent, but unfortunately our service was poor. Our server was very unfriendly and it felt like she did not want to wait on us, or be there at all. She literally said 5 short sentences to us the entire time. Also, the inside ha a no sound dampening, it basically a concrete box, so as more patrons arrive it got louder and louder and louder in the restaurant, to the point where my mom & I where practically yelling at each other to have a conversation. The food was delicious, but I will not be back.

   I absolutely love the food and service! However, I had lunch with a customer, and we couldn’t here each other because the music was playing so loud.

    The food was served quickly and it was very good. It did not feel like a place we could linger, though. The server offered us our check before asking if we wanted anything else, like dessert.

    Great food and a lovely evening. The server disappeared for a good bit after we ordered drinks, but when she came back we told her we had a show to go to and after that she was much more attentive and ensured we got everything timely. And in fairness the place was hopping; the noise level can get up there. The pork chop was huge and outstanding, and the sides were interesting and complementary. Will def be back!

    The music was way too loud. I had difficulty hearing my companion across the table. Service was slow once we were finished eating. It took us a long time to receive our check and we had to ask for it. No offer of refill of our soda or dessert.

    A fun restaurant with a good vibe. Food was excellent but abundant. Appetizers and mains are huge. The food was inventive and flavorful, really enjoyed all of it. Nice wine list. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely would go back!

    The food was disappointing. Just adequate. Steak was poor quality. Vodka pasta hood. Caesar salad had too much dressing and overly seasoned. Waitress was friendly. Did not seem experienced. Noise level was high enough to challenge talking at a 4-top table

    We usually love this place but this experience was not good. We sat with no service for 15+ minutes. We were finally greeted by a manager then our server showed up a short time later. Hoping they were short staffed because our service was almost non-existent the entire meal. It was very disappointing.

    We had a delightful dinner that started with the best Mule my husband’s ever had and a wonderful Cab for me. We both ordered the burgers, which came beautifully prepared. When I said, “no bun,” the waitress asked if I wanted a lettuce wrap. Yes, please! Roasted broccoli with shredded Parmesan on top was stupendous, too. We will be back!

    Food is AMAZING. Very cool place. Only negative is the noise level--it's a bit hard to hear the person sitting next to you, so a big group is a challenge.

    This was our second time at Crown Republic Gastropub, and it was delicious! The pasta dishes are wonderful! It's perfect for dinner before a show at the Aronoff, as they are located just 2 blocks away. Service was efficient and quick.

    As always, the food was fabulous. Which is what brings us back. The service, however, continues to suffer (and even got worse). First drinks came out with the appetizers (ordered at same time but honestly, we could see the bar and the kitchen to know that this was ridiculous); had to flag server several times to order food; extra pita came out after we finished the dish; second round of drinks came out as we were finishing up our food; table never got cleared until check came. Then the check had 'tip options' with the first option being 22%. We left 18% and felt awkward but service was just so bad that I couldn't justify more. From my perspective, this is management's fault...please hire someone to teach you how to train your staff and then please train your staff! Everyone will happier in the end.

    We have not been to this restaurant in a bit; I’m not sure why. Anyway, it was as good as we remembered it. Our server, Kaitlyn was top notch. I enjoyed/loved the Padachi salad and my husband have the chicken sandwich. I was obsessed trying to find a recipe for the salad, but I am sure I couldn’t make it as well as they did. It really is a gem. Great food, great service, tucked away, but still in a great location, not flashy or loud, but really excellent all around. You must go. We must go again.

    We both enjoyed the salmon (which they’ll cook to your degree of doneness). It was delicious. We both loved the crispy broccoli with aioli. Cocktails were inventive and yummy. Our server, Emilie, was attentive and knowledgeable.
