Went for dinner on Saturday night. Friendly service and the food was excellent. Starter of snails and mushrooms on crumpet with garlic sauce was great and very original. Mains of pork belly and lamb were well cooked, decent sizes and came with nice sides. The sauces were also excellent. Will be back

Lovely lunch at Cullenders with great food and service. We can with our 6 week old and was not an issue with lots of space.

We love this family run restaurant. The friendly atmosphere makes it great for a family brunch or a coffee with a friend. The almond croissants are the best in town! And we love the house recipe baked beans. I’m looking forward to seeing a bigger menu in the future :)

We had been looking forward to returning to Cullenders as a post Lockdown treat. We had a lovely time & we were well looked after by Mark and his team. The atmosphere is comfortable and cosy and they have managed to Covid restrictions very well indeed. To kick things off, I had their Negroni which is a belter. Life always looks better after that! The food is excellent - we had a vegetarian with us and she said the same. Wine by the glass is a good option for us and we were very happy to see that there are some decent (not bank busting) choices there. I’d thoroughly recommend it - we are already booked to go back....

Cold soup unfortunately but in these covid times we didn't want to send it back!
Hi Vicky. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We wish you'd sent us the soup back so we could have made sure it was hot for you. Such a shame you endured eating it cold, we would really wanted to have sorted that out for you so you could have enjoyed your lunch. We certainly don't want our customers to leave unhappy, we do everything we can to make sure our guests have a great experience. Hopefully you'll give us another try, Covid or no Covid, we want it to be right.
Always enjoy it here, little disappointed with the new menu as a few of my favourites have gone.

My wife and I had an excellent time and, despite the restrictions imposed by Tier 2, the restaurant did everything to make our evening enjoyable.
The food was excellent. I had the snails with mushrooms on a crumpet which was original and packed with flavour.
The wine was well priced for the menu meaning we felt we got great value from the entire package.
Staff were attentive but not overly so. Once COVID is over and the restaurant can pack in the covers I have no doubt it will further improve in ambience

Lovely restaurant, with good variety. Delicious food, good portions and great flavour combinations. The Bavette, snails and the pumpkin and goats curd all of it was just gorgeous.

Love the food here especially the chorizo, peppers, spinach and poached eggs on sour dough, superb. The ambience is lovely cool and trendy.

Lovely scrambled egg and smoked salmon, toasted sourdough was a bit tough; OH declared his poached egg with chorizo very good but a bit small
We sat in the side room which was curiously untidy with what looked like catering equipment and high chairs piled up at the back. As I was facing it all, it detracted somewhat from the ambiance
Staff are young, but friendly and attentive; a few rough edges removed and Cullenders would be spot on

Lots of friends had highly recommended the new Cullenders Parkside and we weren’t disappointed. It is relaxed and unpretentious and the food was out of this world! Service was friendly. We’ll definitely return.

We booked a table for 12.30 to have Sunday brunch with our daughter, her partner and our grandson.
The brunch menu is not extensive. Two of the dishes (Fish Tacos and Tuna Melt0 were not available anymore.
We would also have appreciated pancakes, avocado and smoked salmon - staples of many a brunch.
The coffee was really good and the staff very attentive.
Maybe next time we will try an evening meal.

We feel we offer everything one would expect from a breakfast/brunch menu except pancakes. Our menu ranges from a full English to burritos to huevos rancheros.We hope to see you again.Joelle & Marc.

Thank you for a fabulous birthday meal at this brilliant new local. The service was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging - making off menu cocktails on request being a particular highlight! - and the food was just outstanding. The covid-safe adjustments were very much in place but it still felt like a 'normal' night out, and we loved every minute. Only sad that you opened just before we're due to move away from the area!
