A special blend of hummus in a cast iron crock, topped with butter and fresh parsley... an amazing twist on traditional hummus. Chef Suggested Wine Pairing: Kir Yiannakies Akakies
Lamb Rib Chops
Three tender lamb chops, rubbed with the chef's blend of herbs, grilled over the coals and cooked and served tender andjuicy... the traditional Cypriot way.
Our salmon has been called the best, the juiciest, the most amazing.
Maria can cook: she may be Baltimore's finest chef. The grilled shrimp & the tomahawk veal chop were perfect.
The food was absolutely incredible, I would 10/10 recommend. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very helpful describing the menu options. There are televisions playing sports which seems odd for a relatively fine dining restaurant and it could be noisy at times. Otherwise I absolutely loved and will certainly be returning
Fun place with a group to share plates. Hummus, salads, falafel and desserts were excellent. Server was on spot with timing and recommendations. We would recommend and will definitely return.
Another great meal. Chef Maria’s dishes are delicious and the service is attentive without being intrusive.
The food is excellent, the service is always professional and the hosts are warm and friendly. Always enjoy Cypriana.
I loved it so much! The team was outstanding; even the owner personally thanked us for joining that night. I highly recommend it and will go back.
Another delicious meal!
It was great!
Good food and service. Seating was very tight and pretty noisy.
This was my first experience at Cypriana and it was delicious and fun--multiple small plates were shared among our party and all were very tasty. I will not however return on a Saturday night--service was uneven due to the explodingly crowded dining room If you like a quiet place, this is not for you, at least on the weekend (I will report back when I return on a weeknight). If you like a high energy place where tables are 6 inches from each other and it's one big happy party, then you will LOVE this place!
The service was friendly and earnest, and both the owner/manager and the chef work the room and make sure everyone is enjoying themselves--this is a very authentic restaurant that should not be missed!
Love our visits to Cypriana. Always welcoming and friendly service. We tried a few different items and were not as impressed as we have with previous choices. The beef kabob entree was more like an appetizer size, and the spinach flatbread was ok but nothing special. We loved the greek salad and the lamb shank. We will definitely be back.
We waited for 2 hours for 3 people at our table to get their food. Water was not refilled and that is all one person was having. The 3 that were having wine by the glass would have had much more had the service worked that evening. It makes me a bit sad because the food is actually nice here. Not one person apologized or any explanation. Unacceptable
Absolutely Classic Mediterranean food... All was delicious and very filling.
The prices are very reasonable as well my wife and I went and got 2 apps and 2 main courses our the door for under $80 with Tip... not very common to find that any more.
Will definitely be going back
Waitstaff is delightful and informative, the food NEVER disappoints, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting with just a hint of festive.
Simply love it.
Great happy hour food with a terrific bartender. The spinach pie and flatbreads are a must. Pretty crowded on a Friday.
This Mediterranean restaurant is a welcome addition to the Baltimore dining scene. The pita bread is delicious, and costs $3. Before ordering, determine what else you're going to eat, because many dishes come with pita bread (e.g. the juicy, lemony wood roasted olives). We found the grilled eggplant to be the best dish on the menu. The award-winning falafel was worthy of its reputation. The moussaka melted in the mouth. The salted pistachio baklava was tasty. For us, the one negative was the stuffed grape leaves (meat version). We sent it back. The manager seemed about to tell us that we didn't like it because we were comparing it to a lower quality restaurant, but he held his tongue. We found the grape leaves dry and lacking a rich flavor. He told us that several people in the back had tried our dish, and found it quite good; I found that creepy and insulting to cast judgment on our taste. Menu is nice combo of entrees and small plates.
One of my favorite places!
The food is amazing and the staff is attentive.
The place was a pleasant surprise. Great good and amazing services, available free parking and the food are very reasonably priced.
I love the owner and the
The food at Cypriana is consistently delicious. You might have to wait for a table, even with a reservation, but it’s worth the wait. Get the hummus and pita and the feta with honey appetizer. We had the octopus entree and the grilled shrimp. Both were were fantastic!
Very nice server. Reservation system mess up caused issues so there were numbers of parties waiting to be seated. Surprisingly, no one mentioned this until we were seated 20 min after outer reservation. Would be helpful if free parking info was on opentable review or easily found on website. They wouldn’t filet whole fish upon request which was surprising.
Jack was a stellar waiter and very informed on the menu which helped us greatly. We will definitely be back!!
It was daughter’s birthday. Nick, our server was great. Food was delicious.
The food is okay, and the service was friendly, but the atmosphere is not good. They have way too many tables packed in there and it just feels crowded and uncomfortable. And it’s ridiculously overpriced. We ordered the Seafood Soiree for 2 — the entree alone was $125. I don’t typically like to spend that much, but if it’s really good I’m okay with it. This felt like it should have been closer to $60. But price aside, they really need to remove at least 10% of the tables to make the place bearable.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed the small plates that we were able to share with one another. The atmosphere was nice, fancy but not over the top. The staff was helpful and answered all of our questions, which was nice considering it was our first time there.
Excellent service, Grilled Octopus and hummus is a must try.
Love eating here! Food/service was a little slow, but delicious!
Really delicious with small playe optuons as well as entrees. I had the lamb shank and it was so tender and delicious. Nice to have wine pairing suggestions. The desserts were also fabulous and freshly made. Will go back again.
The owner welcomed us with a thorough overview of their cuisine and how freshly made the food is. It was our first time. The food was fantastic. We will be back for sure. One of our new favorite places in Baltimore!
Food good, bar drinks good, will come again!l,,
Waiter was thorough and informative and attentive. This was our first time there and the owner came over to welcome us. The food is absolutely delicious. The menu has something for every taste bud.
Cypriana was very busy Saturday. They did not handle this well and the service left much to be desired. We told our waiter we had a theatre engagement, but he disappeared for long periods of time and made certain incorrect assumptions about the coursing of our our meal. We had to escalate the problem and by the time the food came we were rushed and did not have a sufficient amount of time to enjoy it. I don't recommend going here on a Saturday night.
P.S. Telling us that "the waiter is still learning" is not a satisfying excuse.
Absolutely, one of our favorite - if not our favorite place! The service is always great, the food is always delicious, and we always leave appreciating the entire experience. This visit, we enjoyed the falafel, which came with a serving of 6 perfectly cooked falafel balls, the non-vegetarian grape leaves, a greek salad, and the lamb chops. Everything was delicious. If I had one suggestion, it would be to serve the falafel with some pita, but otherwise - delicious flavors, great service, and another great dining experience.
We shared all of: traditional hummus, greek salad, and crab cakes. We've been to this restaurant a number of times and knew what to expect of the hummus, pita, and salad - all exceptional. The pita is best in the city - yeah, I know, it's only pita, but it does stand out. Ditto for the hummus. Salad was great, too. But the crab cakes were a surprise - surprisingly good! They're more flavorful than run-of-the-mill, and were truly delicious. I could see some not being as enthusiastic as they were bit heavy on the mayo, but we were happy and would definitely get them again. Drinks here have never disappointed either. We'll be back.
Another amazing experience with friends.
A nice night out for my wife and I. We usually try to pick a place with small plates to share and Cypriana is now on the list. We started with cocktails, hummus and mushroom soup. Delicious. I’m not familiar with many Greek wines so we tried a couple along with the small plates we chose (4 or 5 on top of the hummus and soup). Then capped it off with a Greek coffee. The service was great, the food delicious. We’ll be back.
Food was fantastic and such an enjoyable experience
Great versatile menu and food was excellent. Service was very attentive. The Chef’s hummus appetizer and grilled octopus was outstanding. Greek fries with rosemary and feta were delicious. 4 diners with varying dishes were all very pleased with food
