Our amazing building with all its beautiful Irish Antiques was originally joint owned by Irish-born entrepreneurs John Brennan & Billy O’Sullivan. O’Connell’s was created to be an ancient Irish setting run as a modern Irish bar. As you walk in the door you can see aspects of Dublin, Waterford, Kilkenny and Galway, putting Ireland right in the heart of King Street. The building itself was built in the 1800’s by Col. Fitzgerald from Co. Wicklow. 14 Master carpenters, 2 master stonemasons, 2 antique tillers, and 2 specialist painters, made it so that in March of 2006 O’Connell’s was born to the magnificent restaurant we appreciate today. In 2018 John took over sole ownership of Daniel O’Connell’s with his wife Margaret and their family.
Enjoy Irish favorites and modern twists in one of our 4 bars or on one of our 2 patios - make O'Connell's your Irish home away from home.

This is an Irish pub. It was fun, and the food was delicious. I wish we had this type of pub in Kansas City.

We usually have an amazing dining experience. Wine pour was unusually small and food was on the colder side that means server did not get to table delivery when prepared. Table service was nice. The dinner delivery came from the kitchen. We frequent this establishment so we will be back for another meal and see if the experience is better.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and drinks! Our server was very nice, but never cleared any dishes—even after closing out the dirty dishes stayed at the table
