    A really great experience all round. The owner and server (also sous chef) were friendly and came to chat personally and the food was outstanding. Prices beyond reasonable for both food and drinks. Will return again and again.

    The service and host were lovely. A beautiful soundscape of Indian flute made for a wonderful ambiance. All three of us were disappointed in the food, with the exception of the tamarind soup, which was delicious.

    Loved this resto for several reasons. We ordered different dosas...lamb, regular chicken, and butter chicken...they were all good. I particularly like the butter chicken as it was so flavorful. The sweet corn soup was very yummy too, and there was a lot of chicken in it. Also, the servers were very attentive. My friend was not very sure about the menu, and he asked many questions. The server patiently answered them all and gave him a few advice as well. As for myself, I didn't know which dessert was good and I usually don't eat anything too sweet. The server recommended me the Kulfi pistachio which was not too sweet and very delicious. The resto is located right next to the Independent grocery store on Davie and parking is very easy. There are lots of street parkings as well as parking lots. I'd recommend Davie Dosa Company to anyone who's looking for good dosas. Give it a try, I promise it won't disappoint you.

    This was an amazing find. Davie Dosa is centrally located in the Davie village just east of Presidents Choice. The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. I tried a dosa - well I had both the masala and the butter chicken. They were both great. Good eating and not too filling. The location is what used to be the Italian pasta place. I made reservations and I thought the location was on the south side of the street. Then I noticed the numbers were different and I made the correction. I have not yet tried the dosa place on the south side of Davie so I cannot vouch for it but Dosa Davie was excellent. Don’t get it twisted- Dosa Davie is on the north side of the street in the quaint space near the supermarket. You’ll love it.

    We were greeted by the owner The service was very good. Menu was explained to us on a couple things. The owner recommended the Lamb Dosa , was delicious. Would and will go back again next time in Vancouver.

    We really enjoyed being guided through the menu and picking complementary food with things we knew and new items to try. Easily ordered a lot of food but super helpful staff and they made us feel very comfortable. Really enjoyed the dosa and the dipping sauces.

    This was the best dosa I have had! It was a special treat to find this kind of cuisine in Vancouver! Portions were huge, prices were reasonable, and service was quick! This has a local business feel where you can relax and stay a while and visit. Chutneys were delicious as was the Sambar. Pakoras were also fantastic! The only problem was that I ate too much!

    Well prepared South Indian classics as well as modern twists on them. Fresh ingredients and sincere, charming server, Anousha, and owner. Be sure to order the Dosa “pizza” and Madhu vada: the best I have had in a restaurant in decades!

    This is the best south indian place that I have ever been to , there catchy name attracted me and brought us here . I had high expectations and true to that the decor was modern and inviting , the staff super nice and friendly , the menu options were spot on in regard to what u expect from modern south indian cuisine. We were a family of four and shared there hot broccoli and cajun chicken salad , excellent delicate flavour and very fresh , followed up with a assortment of chicken fish and prawn dosas, the taste was marvelous and portion size was very generous, the coconut and tomato chutneys were very delicious , sambhar was so nice we had to request for extra helping, the owner who is also the star chef came over for a chat and he was a very gracious host , sent us a pistachio kulfi ice cream that was homemade it was absolutely divine we were all blown over by the delicate natural taste . The best tasting icecream I have ever had . Best part about the food is that it's all fresh natural gluten free and healthy. Will definitely be back when ever I am around English bay area . Highly recommended.

    Nice to have a South Indian option in the West-End. Very nice menu, gorgeous dosas and plenty of vegetarian options. The sambals are home made and very nice. Exceptional service, delicious food, nice ambiance. Will certainly become a regular.

    Family Fridate! Kids love the butter chicken sauce one of the best sauce we tried. We love the food and the server and the chef is so nice he came out and say hello. Food are yummy and delicious 😋

    It's been nine months since me and my daughther spent 4 days i Vancouver, and went 3 times to Davie Dosa, and we still talk about the great food! Really nice and morish. Cold at the window though, but beside of that: really nice and super good food, thank you!

    We're staying in downtown Vancouver and were looking for the best "local" restaurants when we found Davie Dosa. The owner/manager personally waited on us and was very helpful when it came to making selections that we would enjoy. Must try a dosa! We tried a lamb and mix vegetable one and they were delicious. Portions were generous and service was prompt and genuine. Would recommend!

    Great food, but very very slow service. From the moment we walked into the restaurant to the placement of the order, 30 minutes went by. Another 10 minutes until the drinks arrived (including the water for the table). The food took 40 minutes from the time of order, which is basically ok, unless you are very hungry. The wait was worth it as the food was amazing! Bottom line: Great food, but bring lots of time.
