Matt was an awesome waiter! Food was great, everyone loved their meals, and the kids really enjoyed the Lava cake. Will definitely come back again!

WITHOUT PREJUDICE CONFIDENTIAL / FOR SETTLEMENT PURPOSES ONLY The Dirty Oar RE: Formal Notice of Strict Liability, Severe Violations of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Discriminatory Consumer Practices, and Unlawful Staff Aggression. I wish to exercise absolute transparency and personal accountability regarding the palpable distress and indignation I expressed during and immediately following this event. As a Christian woman, I anchor my life in grace and composure; however, my family and I were deliberately subjected to an environment so hostile and inherently discriminatory that a reaction of profound grievance was entirely justified. Seated with my party of 6 in a booth and with a seating walker which was a chair, told we had to leave due to a fire hazard with a seating chair, no accommodations were offered, asked to leave since 2 patrons empathetically asked why we were leaving and I told them why, then pursued by a 16 year old uneducated staff member to leave and my disabled brother in law unable to move fast was violently approached to leave and my family. All could of been resolved with "Customer Service 101" and stating, "We want to ensure your absolute comfort and safety; please allow us to transition your party to a table that seamlessly accommodates the walker," your staff actively chose to be aggressive, adversarial, and confrontational. BIG mistake going here and being long time residents over 40 years in Barrie and in the F&B industry. The management, novice staff and entire organization requires customer 101 training, legal education and realize every 1 in 3 F&B places close down for this reason. Welcome everyone no matter what and realize your residents are not your captive consumers. God bless and get educated. So sorry you represent Friday Harbour with such an elite attitude.

Hostess was incredibly unhelpful with getting us a table. Was told we had to wait almost 2 hours for the next table and ended up finding an earlier time by booking a reservation online.

Really enjoyed the brunch. The price was reasonable compared to other restaurants at Friday Harbour. Will come back again.

Apparently the previous head chef has left and the quality and quantity of food has gone way down. Have been going to this place on a very regular basis and will now be rethinking that. WAS an outstanding place but is no longer $40 for a small piece of salmon and a CRAP LOAD of rice…not worth it at all!! Used to be a much better dish with a nice big piece of meat. Also the dish was supposed to have a salsa and there was hardly any of it included. Very disappointed
